Hi there! This looks like the R1 in Pembroke Pines. Last time I went (like 2 months ago) I never saw StepX being there. Gonna head over to try it out eventually. 🙂 This video randomly popped up on my feed and I think we ran into each other there once lmao. Small world or crazy algorithm. Hope you’re doing well!
Hi! Yup this is the Pembroke Pines location! I went to New Jersey for a while so when I got back I saw StepManiaX and my eyes almost popped out of my head aha definitely head over there and try it out its very... fun... and... interesting.... lmao I don't know if I'll ever be able to get used to having that gap in the middle between Down and Up but its still worth playing for fun And we probably did run into each other since I was there a LOT before going to NJ and a few times since I've been back (got back here in Jan) if you ever see me again definitely let me know and we'll play a round of DDR or StepManiaX together! (I'm hoping more "small world" than "crazy algorithm" cause if its the algorithm that's legitimately terrifying 🤣)
I actually had 3 Metal Pads before, but because I moved so much as a kid I could've never brought them with us so we always ended up selling them or giving them away. Now that I am on my own and started playing DDR again I am looking into getting one and building a bar for it and having it stay in my garage for at least 8 years aha
Yeah no bar most definitely is a better workout but I enjoy the game too much with it aha I definitely cannot pass the harder songs without using the bar
I've never seen StepManiaX before, so it was pretty cool to watch you play it. It seems harder for me since it doesn't have the arrows at the top, and it's just a line.. But, you did awesome at it! I also wasn't expecting my comment to be in the video lol, but it's true. You do have good taste in DDR music!!
reason I put your comment up was because when I heard the announcer say I have great taste in music I immediately thought of your comment AND that song is from DDR 😂 so it was just the perfect storm This was my 2nd time seeing StepManiaX in person, very cool looking machine and all, enjoyed playing it but that gap between up and down is just so hard to get used to... idk if I'll ever be able to do it. Not having the arrow at the top is an option in DDR (I believe it's called "dark"?) so me playing like that a lot was already prepared for that aha its not as hard as you might think.

Surprised you don't have a metal pad at home. I picked one up for $300. Solid fun investment IMO. Great job!!

@@DietDietRevolution That's an awesome idea!! I don't use a bar myself. Feel it gives me a better workout personally.

@@DietDietRevolution Haha! StepmaniaX reminds me of Pump It up, which is beside your DDR machine. They both are the same, except the arrows direction.
I think I can actually play Pump It Up BETTER cause I don't get so confused by the layout aha
@@DietDietRevolution You should try Pump It Up in the next video?
I hate Pump so much tho lmao its so hard to do normal things like select speed modifiers you gotta put like cheat codes 😂
