In my opinion the White Cab plays so much better (especially with the tilted screen... not sure why that matters so much to me lmao) I used to play on LIFE4 to unlock Extra Stage 99% of the time but since world released I haven't done that much

Getting the body moving is always a great way to practice and of course keep yourself in check. Of course as long as you practice correctly and know what you're doing :)

if i’m not mistaken you have to keep zooming in until you see more lines where more arrows can be placed (try pinching in to zoom like you would on a photo) I’m not sure which timing the green arrows are by try regular and triplet timing after zooming in a bit let me know if that works :)

@@DietDietRevolution During the SuperNOVA era, I was starting out in the Stepmania graphic design group and people needed Backgrounds for the simfiles, So me and a handful of other dedicated designers went to work on creating backgrounds from the small banners...//

I had plenty of Gym Memberships and always end up cancelling them besides after the first week or two I just don’t go anymore… DDR on the other hand has helped me tremendously and I never get bored or discouraged so it really is a blessing having DDR or similar games as a workout

I hear ya! definitely felt that while playing (and didn’t even play a song with more than 2 arrows simultaneously) Doubles looks so much more majestic than it does on DDR aha

My weight loss journey involved playing a lot of DDR and cutting my food intake by a lot. I kind of slipped of my diet since I had my injury (made a vlog about it here on this channel) I just got back home from a vacation which also didn’t help so starting tomorrow i’m going back to my strict diet Highly recommend if you want to lose weight to either download a calorie tracker app or do the 16:8 intermittent fasting diet (which is what I do) I was eating whatever I wanted no restrictions but only 1 “meal” a day (after if I got hungry the rest of the day it would be really small snacks or low calorie food) I dropped over 30lbs doing that with DDR as my exercise Good luck! thanks for commenting and stopping by my channel/video :)

ha that’s really funny to hear! while i’m being light on my feet on the ltek you’re relearning to press the arcade buttons harder 😂 The corner brackets actually help me a lot which is crazy because they probably weren’t intended for that purpose but they really helped me not look at the screen. Few times playing on my LTEK i would look down to see my foot positioning to “cheat hands” or as people call it today “bracketing” because honestly when it comes to doing that technique i really have to look down VS the arcade where i know exactly where my foot is

lmaooooooooo yeah i actually just played DDR for the Wii for the first time a little while ago and that game doesn’t have speed modifiers either it’s such a weird experience 😂

1x isn't that bad. First ddr I played was 3rd mix. It's good challenge, like playing on those challenge mode coarses in 7th mix or 8th mix/extreme.

@@chengalvalavenkata2401 i actually cut the calorie counter by 75% which i think would probably be a ballpark number of what actual calories is being burned Also! I purchased a Metal Dance Pad called an LTEK! Been using it for a few months now and it’s been really awesome even did a review video on it :)

Definitely! I don't know if I will ever need to mod it but I definitely want to at least build a bar for it. I would LOVE an arcade pad tho so maybe one day this RUclips channel will make some money and I'll be able to do that :)

@Joshuaisnotinsane23 it’s tough to say because I’ve only played on the gold can twice… I like the bigger screen but I don’t like that’s it’s straight up instead of at an angle like I’m used too… I also think the Gold is a bit much lmao

@@DietDietRevolution Have you had a chance to try a Step ManiaX machine before? My husband and I just recently discovered one at our local Round1's (there are two here in Ohio). It was also really fun and he was excited with all the old ITG and DDR songs. Its a 5 panel pad, but just DDR with a center arrow/step. Its a little awkward at first, but still fun. :) Since you play at Round1, maybe they will get a StepManiaX machine, too.

I actually have a few vlogs on this channel of me playing StepManiaX! Its a really fun game and was very happy to play that before getting my home pad because it featured old ITG and DDR songs like Destiny and SO DEEP ~PERFECT SPHERE MIX~ with the original charts being playable if you have the App aha really an awesome game! Really love the devs for making that game possible

Yes! something I noticed a bit was how the steps feel more "flowy" at times. So weird seeing a machine in 2024 only have Perfect and Great timing tho aha

@@DietDietRevolution Pump has always had the same 5 judgements, “Perfect, Great, Good, Bad, & Miss”. So coming from DDR it can feel weird to adapt to, but again, Pump’s accuracy system is a bit looser.

Yup! DDR once had around the same judgements, I'm not sure when DDR started getting "MARVELOUS" timing in the arcade but I know most games I grew up playing didn't feature them so when I saw only perfect and great appear on PIU it was like a trip down memory lane or something 😂

then pump it up compensates by throwing brackets and difficulty going all the way up to 28 and also Doubles charts ^^

Glad to help! It's a really really good pad (helped me get my first quad ever) I highly recommend checking out the LTEK! As someone who has played DDR for over 20+ years it feels awesome having something like this at home :)

Definitely felt like I wasn't hitting the buttons hard enough on the P1 side, P2 side felt better but still felt like my stomps weren't good enough for keep my combos going

"Stomping" is most likely an arcade pad maintenance issue, or possibly older cabinet I/O problem. Pump doesn't inherently require any more foot pressure than DDR does. The issue on P1 side looked like maybe a sticky Center panel?

most likely due to pad maintenance. my local arcades pads are kept up with, but i remember going to one 2 hours away and i had to stomp for it to even register anything and i’m very light at that too so it was unplayable.

ive played on superwellkept for competitions PIU pads and, yeah, they can feel your fingers lol

Something I noticed watching people play PIU is that their bodies don't move as aggressively as DDR players... but that could just be based off the people I've seen play

the pads definitely need some maintenance and if they raised the volume of the DDR/PIU/SMX Machines that would be nice too LMAO

@@DietDietRevolutionI think you can request the employees to do that. One time when I was playing Mai Mai and my device was noticeably low in volume than the cabinet next to me and a staff noticed my dilemma and raised my cabinet’s volume. Btw, Mai Mai in the higher levels also feel like a workout lmao.

I have not... I honestly feel way too intimidated to try it after I watch people move so graciously across the dance floor I know I'll be way to awkward and goofy looking for that game aha
