- Hello everyone, today I will be sharing how to start a commercial cleaning company. As you know, I own a cleaning business that does residential and commercial cleaning, but I now focus on the residential side of things. My business is split probably 70% residential, 30% commercial.
In this video, I will discuss residential vs commercial cleaning (pros/cons), registration, insurance, setting up your prices, contracts, equipment, how to find clients, hiring, marketing and seo, cash flow, and the importance of networking.

I made around 50 cold calls and everyone seems to have cleaning companies already.
Definitely more than 50. Make sure you're calling between 8 and 10am, that's when I got the best results. Are you also running ads?

Good day. My name is is Joanne, i am in the early stage of starting a cleaning business. I have made a few cold calls just to see what type of feedback i would get. One particular, i was asked to send over my info including prices for an office clean once a month. How is that possible if i do not have any information regarding the building itself?
Hi, you'd have to ask some more questions. Ie how big is the building, what kind of cleaning is needed, etc. Many commercial cleaning companies do physical walkthroughs before providing a quote.

Really depends, there's no standard quote. Depends on where you live, the type of building, materials needed, etc etc

Hi, larger commercial job per sq foot. Smaller jobs, I base on my hourly rate and bill monthly. Hope that helps.

How do you charge to clean a building if you haven't assest the building? Because persons will call and ask how much do you charge?

I get paid before I do the work. No money no work. I do commercial cleaning
Exactly. I do the same for residential clients and customers all pay by credit card. However, this isn't the case with large commercial contracts where it's typically net 30 or even net 45. Nobody's paying you $100,000 before you do the work LMAO.
