MJ truly is the GOAT and it's absurd that some are still claiming others. IMO Wilt is just behind MJ (the greatest Big Man ever and it's not even close), then Larry Bird as #3. So glad that you included the Pierce cli talking about MJ and his cigars. MJ was knows to smoke a cigar before (some) games. Could he have been even more electric without the scotch & cigars? ...I don't see how, MJ was just super blessed by God physically even down to his perfect bball frame. No, he didn't have to put a pseudo-all-star team together to be competitive as is done now JUST to be competitive for a title, not even guaranteed to win. The 90's Bulls weren't questioned as to winning it all each year, it was just in 'how many games will they do it in'. The Spurs did it in like fashion. A blessing to draft Timmy when they did (had The Admiral not gotten injured that previous season they wouldn't have gotten Timmy). They traded for complimentary pieces and not perennial All-Stars, like the Bulls did. Look at the teams who build such 'all-star' teams now and without great success. Like a puzzle, there can only be four corners in a rectangle and any more just doesn't work. That's why Robert Horry has 7 Rings, He played his role to perfection as one of the most under-appreciated, most clutch players in NBA/ABA history. Outside of Steph Curry, who is more clutch than Robert Horry was? I can't think of anyone right now. His clutch shooting and clutch wing defender defense when the game was on the line was legendary & super consistent.
I've been watching basketball since the Boston Celtics and the Lakers on Channel 5 every day Sunday evening I'm in Chicago when I saw Michael Jordan I was in front of my TV every playoff championship regular season on Channel 9 I ain't never seen no player like Jerry West said do when Michael Jordan ever did.
I’m 41 years old and grew up within an hr of Atlanta. Me and my brother were big basketball fans, but my dad pretty much was only interested in football. One of my greatest regrets (albeit one that I never had any control over) was never watching MJ and Nique in person just once. Granted those tickets sold out everytime the Bulls came to Atlanta.
The measure MJ greatness, is to only look at his defensive skills and defensive IQ! Just on the defensive side of the ball, Jordan was phenomenal. The defense skills makes him the GOAT!
Please have the videos of the 1984 US Olympic Team against NBA All Stars. The greatness of Jordan against Larry Bird, Magic and others in their primes.
Vince Carter is wrong. Jordan did earn his points, but.... the refs absolutely gave Mike the benefit of the whistle in his prime. MJ got all the calls, all the time... he got the treatment that Iverson and Kobe got later, because he was the prototype for that kind of protection from the Ref. If MJ got hurt, the league would lose MASSIVE revenue... so he became too valuable not to protect. If we could us AI to watch every minute of MJ coverage, for his entire career, and analyze how his contact was called, vs league average, the AI could put a number on that foul quotient, and MJ would lead the league in ref protection by a landslide. Of course MJ was the best of the best, but he became too valuable to allow the league to beat on him after a certain point in his career. I don't think anyone is complaining about that, as a fan, we all wanted to see him play our team, we just wished he didn't get the benefit of every whistle all game long in that era (when he played us)
It comes down to this. The fate of the Earth depends on picking a starting five to play aliens from another galaxy. Win, and Earth survives. Lose, and Earth is destroyed. Who you got? 1. Jordan 2. Shaq 3. Duncan 4. Curry 5. Lebron
Ha...I normally give a scenario like that but I usually put the aliens say we can pick any player in their prime but the only exception is you have to choose between MJ or LeBron for the final spot. That should be a no-brainer. We HAVE to choose the one that doesn't lose on the biggest and final stage on any level. If we choose the other guy, even the aliens would laugh at us as we would have MJ sitting in the stands just watching lol. This is how I settle that debate.
MJ is the GOAT and it's not even close. Anyone who thinks different is in denial and delusional. Trust me I lived to see them all from 80s to present and no one still on MJ level. Dude was pretty much unbeatable once he reached the mountaintop.
@@PIP...33 Really? Bird did all of that "ALONE"? So, the three other future HOFers (Parish, McHale, and DJ) that combined for TWENTY ONE All-Star appearances _weren't_ on Larry's team too? Sit down, young buck. You're making a fool of yourself.
By the way, Jordan's teammates at the time were 1x All-Star Caldwell Jones and 1x All-Star Steve Johnson.
@@mj23goat3 NOW UN PROVED U R DERANGED. TYPICAL FOR JORDAN FANS LACK OF SPORT KNOWLEDGE. CWELTICS 1978 WON 29 GHAMES, BIRD GOT DRAFTED AND WON 60 GAMES. PARISH MCHALE WASNT EVEN IN LEGAUE U DERANGED
Jordan had OCD type of competitiveness. I know he had his whole family scared during UNO nights.
😂😂😂Indeed 👏🏼👏🏼😁👌🏼
💯🐐 Airness
Would loke to see more of Jordans college team bet the NBA team!
Great video sir! I appreciate the work you put in for us
The 1994 - 1995 Rockets were monsters. No beating them, by ANYONE.
People don’t realize how good penny was before he got injured.
Best offensive with fade away clutch 3 points
Best scorer
Best defensive
Dunk contest winner
He is complete
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for your channel
The 80s Celtics Pistons Cavs 76ers Lakers left the Chat laughing at Jordan's EPIC Futility / Failure vs them from 1985 - 1990. 😂
This is the BEST nba channel 😊
I've seen both play in their prime. I would pick MJ without Question. You wanna win? ...pick MJ
What I like the most in Dominique Wilkins who was talking as a first is how this guy always has much of respect to other legends. He is a legend but very classy man.
Air Jordan 🐐🐐🐐
THE GOAT🐐
I've been to MJ's house in Wilmington, NC before. A good friend of mine has known MJ since they were six years old. We stopped by to see Mr. Jordan. I stayed in my car while my friend went inside. I don't know MJ or his family, so I just waited outside.
Jerry West gave Jordan the greatest compliment of all, considering who West played against, played with, and who he coached.
I was thinking that he saw Wilt and Kareem play when he was still playing and still said that. That means something.
Precisely. He also coached Kareem in the late 70's. @@jtremaine23
Rare footage of the guy all the kids around the world wanted to be...also I don't have Mr. Logo's knowledge but I totally agree with him based on my post 1980 knowledge
I love MJ too❤❤❤
Michael Jordan in THIS era would average a clean 35-36 PPG without a doubt. He’d have about 8-10 championships without question.
Barkley said it best hit it right on the spot ain't no body like Jordan period.
Once MJ had a taste of the finals cake, NOBODY GOT TO EAT .
Everybody ate some cake during LeBron era
ONCE JABBAR BIRD RETIRED ? OR QHEN HE ESCAPED QUIT 3 TIMES . EASY TO WIN MORE WHEN THERE IS NO SUPERTEAMS OR WHEN U LOAD MANAGE 450 GAMES , SHOW ME 1 WIN VS BIRD
@@PIP...33 Whatever makes you cope with LeBron's mediocrity man 😂.
You didn't disprove my point at all .
Instead you go at MJ rookie and sophomore seasons playing against best to team in the league Boston with 4HOF 😂😂.
@@matthieusaade3616 BIRD 6 JORDAN 0
@@matthieusaade3616 BIRD IN HIS ROOKIE SEASON WON 60 GAMES.
@@PIP...33 so ? Is he 6-0 in the finals?
When Jordan was on defense, his mentality seemed like he was still on offense. Like "you have the ball? That's MY ball." Pippen adopted that, too, and only thing close to it I can think of is Payton.
GREAT CONTENT!!!!!
Man that 🎷 in the intro around the 0:60 mark is so 🔥
I've been watching basketball since the Boston Celtics and the Lakers on Channel 5 every day Sunday evening I'm in Chicago when I saw Michael Jordan I was in front of my TV every playoff championship regular season on Channel 9 I ain't never seen no player like Jerry West said do when Michael Jordan ever did.
Please send this to all the LeBum fanboys
😊😊😁😁😂😂🤣🤣💯💯
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
Lebron is the G.o.a.t. flopper.
😂 those clowns are the only fools to downplay winning an accolades. Everything with them is a damn excuse.
how can a guy with a consecutive record of being the best offensive/defensive of the year with 6-0 finals in 3 years by another 3 years, not the GOAT?
Thank you I absolutely 💯 love 🏀 the videos. Please make one on Xavier McDaniel
I love MJ and Sean David
1. Jordan
2. Shaq
3. Duncan
4. Curry
HE IS THE GOAT.....
MJ is the GOAT and it's not even close. Anyone who thinks different is in denial and delusional. Trust me I lived to see them all from 80s to present and no one still on MJ level. The older grandparents generation that seen Wilt and Russell may not agree but hey I get it. MJ is Tupac Shakur of Hip Hop. Case close 💯💪🏾
Winning a game against MJ back in the days whether it's just a pre-season game must have felt like winning a championship for most NBA players.
THEIR IS NO CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE GOAT" M J. !!!
Jordan, BEAUTIFUL mf on the court, UNSTOPPABLE!!
Even Old Rich White Men Dressed in a Suit Have "Jordans" on Ther Feet...Jordans Represent Absolute Perfection and Dominance and Greatness on The Biggest Stage...Jordans Immense Natural Talent Was Effortless and Unmatched
MJ was considered the GOAT since 1993...while the DEER was self-proclaimed since 2016.
😂
When MJ respect the legend ahead in their time its enough to accept that his the GOAT
Jerry West's assessment of MJ hasn't changed in 30 years. He pretty much said the exact same thing back then.
The GOAT is Bird
Wilkins gave Jordan a run for his money, and often at that. Outscoring the GOAT.
The way Charles broke it down was simple. JORDAN IS THE DEFINITION of what sports were created for.
Thats what separate him from everyone cant be intimidated ,gets the job done with style!
I like this channel but when I hear "Old School" NBA I'm half expecting to see a video about Richie Guerin, Sweetwater Clifton and Art Heyman.
What Made MJ different Was his Skill package Was a Threat in Where on the Court in traffic or action and his quickness Can Never be denied as elite👍👀Make know Mistake he backed up his Work🏆With thirteen years of Cheer's thrills Witness by Many as Seldom Seen👀the goat*
@hi Sean, congrats for the Chanel I love it , would be awesome if you could make a Video with your opinion: Which team win? Magic, Jordan, Bird, Kareem and Shaq against Iverson, Kobe, Lebron, Olawujon and Wilt Chamberlain?
Did he not keep getting his ass whooped by the pistons and Celtics evrry year until Pippen joined? Lol
Now Jerry's comments are interesting because with talking athleticism and things he was back there in the days of prime Wilt. I guess either he just talking for today or he forgot.
Jerry played in prime everybody and Gm'd up close and personal until recently. His opinion should have the most weight
The very idea that there's even a debate is a joke lol
MJ the man hands down !!
Dam so 1985-1990, 1995 those were practice playoff years. Cool.
🐐
Pippin never ever gets looked as the goat but if you watched how unselfish he would play , gets overlooked alot cos ppl look at points rather than the dirty work Jordan was flawless and best to play game next to kobe but pippin was the man which would make them better than they already was. could walk into any team
I was blessed to grow yp witness Black Jesus play as a kid
It’s more than just the fact mj stayed on the same team , lost and lost but got better , and eventually dominated . It’s the eye test . It’s what I’ve seen and watched throughout his career . Accolades and stats aside … ain’t nobody even close to his greatness , honestly . He’s far more superior to anyone else , so when we have the goat debate , it should be who’s the goat behind Jordan ?
New subs!
The GOAT MJ🙏
Bird beat jordan like a redheaded stepchild for chrissake.
Being THAT insanely competitive though… millions of fans, no doubt but friends though? Real ones? I wonder.
no one fears anyone in the NBA anymore...Jordan had squads shooook!
i never heard anyone speak on the fact that in that era you needed a great center to win , I dont believe jordan played with a hall of famer center his whole career, at least i dont thinks so and he 3 peated twice, as labron so called bein a ll around player, doesnt hold up when you gotta be that player to win
