Thanks mate! That backpack was a missing at sea mayday backpack they are the best! Seriously recommend them they are a bit expensive but worth every cent!
Thanks mate! I can't actually remember what brand it was! Bit I don't recommend it!! It breaks way to easy! Yes 4lb breaks easy but this stuff is garbage! I'll be going back to a 6lb daiwa j braid 4x with my twin powers also
Awesome video mate, seems like a very good reel for the coin. What brand is the fishing shirt you were wearing during the flathead session, looks sick 👍👊👏
Thanks mate! So far it's an awesome little reel! That's actually a sandytrackx shirt mate! I'm about to order a bunch more soon keep up to date with it on my instagram I'll be selling a few and a few give away! Thanks legend 🙏
Liked the vid muchly. I’m thinking of buying a new Shimano reel and have narrowed it down to a 4000 Stradic. Wouldn’t prob consider the Miravel, just want a bit higher quality to pair with my Jewel rod 5-8 kg to target LIGHTER Sportfish off local rockwalls and bays, off jetties and pontoons landbased. After fish like Jewfish, Tailor, Salmon, small Tuna, even Albacore and small Bonnie’s. Anyhow, time to start saving, starts now!!!
That's fair enough! I use to love my stradics the roller bearing goes alot and the drag wasn't as smooth as I wanted! But the were light and lasted me years. I sold them all on now tho and bought all twin powers and they are amazing! Thanks for watching mate 🤙
A question, Daiwa or Shimano. Which would be better, say if yr putting up against each other two reels at similar price point. So Shimano Stradic vs Daiwa T.D. Sol, which would you go and why? I’m pickin’ yr brains pal, you’ve been in the game awhile and no doubt have asked those exact same questions on yr journey.I already have a number of Daiwa reels in my armoury and thought, well may as well try a Shimano to compare. Which are better, in yr experience?
@justinadams5159 all good mate! When I first started getting serious about lure fishing my first combo was a daiwa sol 1 2500 size matched with a samaki zing 3-6kg. Absolutely loved it! Went onto the daiwa sol 2 had them for years! Decided to try some shimano gear for a change after years of daiwa.... I found that the quality of daiwa reels better. More variety at that entry level/ higher end market. The stradics and van ford I did enjoy and had for years and years with minor issues. Now having the twin power I can say I won't be looking back! For me there were a few factors I now rather shimano, it's not the over all quality of the products but I found shimano alot better to deal with more efficient and easy to communicate with. Now this is a along time ago I had daiwa so it could be different now but the customer service in my opinion was pretty average, along with expensive products( compared to shimano) and heavier reels I stuck with shimano. With technology getting better and better most daiwa reels are now competitive with shimano in the weight class and in my opinion have always had a better drag system. At the end of the day it's about finding what you enjoy using and also what you can afford/justify spending. They both do fantastic products and like most things the more you spend the better you get. Hence why I've decided to go with the twin power. That extra money in buying Japanese spec reels really makes a massive difference! Hope that helps legend. But I honestly think best bang for buck reel on the market is the daiwa td black reel seriously those things for the money are mint. And very small! 🤙
i got a 2500 miravel from bass pro 2 weeks ago . it is not a smooth reel , it drags slightly when reeling in line . it is not as smooth as my diawa BG or my RG2500hAB or even my kastking sharky 3 . i'm very disappointed in this shimano miravel and it is going back to bass pro for a refund .
Mate sorry to hear! Its definitely not the smoothest reel on the market that's for sure. Sounds like you got a lemon maybe. I don't mind mine for a $200 reel I mean it's no twin power and there is a few other options for around that $200 range that you might like more always good to try until you find what you enjoy using. Thanks for watching and the comment mate I appreciate it!
@@JeffB1961 yeah, it seems like you felt like you got burned by your purchase. These arent cheap. For the asking price, they should be nearly perfect products. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Been loving my miravel light weight and well built
Glad to hear mate! I think for that price range they have done very well! What size did you get?
Nice work mate , love ya first back pack - I need one couldnt work out the brand ,it looks perfect for my needs. Thanks for the upload 😃

Awesome vid, love the ballina fishing and the release nice work bud!
Thanks mate! Always good to watch locals hey see what's happening haha
That orange line is looking sharp.
You mentioned 4lb. braid, but what brand and model of line is it so i can order some too?
Thanks mate! I can't actually remember what brand it was! Bit I don't recommend it!! It breaks way to easy! Yes 4lb breaks easy but this stuff is garbage! I'll be going back to a 6lb daiwa j braid 4x with my twin powers also
@@sandytrackxfishing2810 thanks for the info.
It seems that the market is flooded with "hi-vis" line that is garbage.
Sad.
Great stuff mate.
Thanks legend!! 🤙

Yeah I got one the other day too not quite as big but. (grunter that is)
I saw that! There a cool fish! Heaps up north but not as common here.
Can the miravel be used for light saltwater fishing?
Absolutely! Salt or fresh it works great! I've had the reel for a while now and still enjoying it and it's still smooth as! 😎
Is that the 270UL zodias model?
Sure is! Great rods!
Thanks for the reply mate.@@sandytrackxfishing2810

Does the miravel match aesthetically to the zodias?
Looks OK mate grey reel on a black red rod I've had worse looking set ups lol
i could get one sized 4000 for 100 bucks brand new, is worth it?
Absolutely!! There a nice reel and for $100 is an absolute bargain!! 20lb braid use it for a jack and jew reel!
Yes bro another good vid
Thanks mate! Maybe make another one together on weds 😉
is the reel black oder kind of a dark blue?
Kinda like a dark grey/black/blue nice colour whatever it is! Haha
@@sandytrackxfishing2810 seems to be nice but in combination with a zodias its not that 10/10 match for me because of the blue color effect
never the less good performance! thx for showing us!
I am deciding on 2500 vs 2500HG. which is ideal?
I personally choose the Hg. High gearing its always a good thing having a bit of extra pulling power! 🤙
What rod do you use in that video?
Shimano miravel made in?
In Malaysia I'm pretty sure

You made the same comment elsewhere.
@@skunk12 because i was very disappointed and noe of the reviews mentioned a lack of smoothness .

Not really worth it for $220, but you can pick them up now for $150.
Yeah I think $150 is definitely a better price point for them!! Mines still going strong! Still smooth!
