Guys I say "ctrl P"
NO WAY YOU ACTUALLY SAW WHAT I SAID ABOUT CTRL B AND COMMENTED THIS (holy shiiiiit!!!)
Hey, when i press automatic weights, it just brings up an error like "Bone Heat Weighting: failed to find solution for one or more bones", do you have any idea what thats about? When i rotate my bones, the model doesnt rotate with it
it is not working i go into pose mode i move the rig and the rig moves but its not affecting the charictor
@@MROCTAGON-uw7ry same problem
@@MROCTAGON-uw7ry u need to press g on the rig part
"Anything can now be your puppet, you're god now"
It perfectly describes how being an animator feels.
So basically I can make 3d models of women that I fantasize about and make them do whatever the fuck I want. So cool.
@@mainakbasu9740 I'm kinda scared of you 😓
@@mainakbasu9740 literally every animator that doesn't work for Disney or Pixar
@@mainakbasu9740 yes but if you have the skill, time, knowledge and determination to do so
@@sagniksaha6926 i do.
the phrase "decimate your model" is still so funny to me to this day
mfs after seeing the 90GB download size: 🗿
that seriously reminds me of the first crushed filter growl in "On Sight"
heckin *DESTROY* your model
Absolutely *RUIN* it
See that model ? F-ING NUKE IT
how is that funny
“Happy man”
Me: ..ah yes!
that thing belongs in a indie horror game
@@qbofthedark3757 honestly 😂
Ah, that's how you know it's fictional
“Happy”
He does belong in the happy game yes
Thanks so much, helped more than the other "tutorials" I was watching 😩
fax
Dude
He is to the point
I watched a 20 minute tutorial and this 40 second one help me more then the other
Its honestly insane how informative this style of tutorial is, watching Ian Hubert's lazy tutorials and shorts like this one have helped me so much
This is a work of art, I've hung it over my bed so I can see it in my nightma- dreams... in my dreams

@@nightnightxcx thanks man
This is legit the best way to grab the attention of 3D newcomers. I’m an amateur, and I know it’s way more complicated than what is depicted in the video, but somewhere along the lines of this process was where I started
Neat stuff!
The rigg tho... Makes me wanna cry..
dont decimate tho
@@BeastShadyGG yeah… it’s a nightmare
@Mark Aspen The documentation is a nightmare.
I learned rigging yesterday and it's just as easy as depictes in this video
I love how even the shortest tutorials can teach you something, I was wondering how to toggle bone visibility
finally a tutorial that isnt as long as sonic driveways
122 and no comments?
Lemme fix that!

All the other tutorials were somehow longer than my
Tsym!!!! just getting into 3d modeling and animation as a hobby so i’m happy to learn new things :3
keep having fun!
Short and straight to the point. That's how I like my tutorials.
With some explanation of course!!
Somehow this 30 second short worked better than multiple 10 minute videos, thanks man!
Finally a tutorial on blender that isn’t a feature length film
donut intensifies
@@arishachoudhury_ NOT THE DONUT!!! NOOOOOOOO
i hated blender guru's donut tutorials, they were so long and i wasnt able to retain any knowledge because of that.
This is great, the perfect tutorial!
*now everything shall be my puppet.*
Thank you, you made it sound SOOOO MUCH MORE SIMPLE THAN OTHERS!!!!
I was going to bed but decided on "one more short"...
Needless to say, your "Happy Man" will haunt me in my dreams now. Thank you for this video though.
I’ve watched about 6 tutorials, ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours long, and this is infinitely more helpful in less than a minute
Gosh... I can feel the power of puppetry in my hands now
XD
I love how this guy actually makes jokes and talks to the audience and doesn't use whatever clipchamp preset and royalty free beat. It makes it so much enjoyable to watch when you feel like their actually trying to communicate w/the audience
“Your bones should be the lighter color” idk why that made me laugh so hard. I think it’s cuz every tutorial overcomplicates simple steps but when you dumb it down it seems so easy
This is genuinely one of the most useful and simplest tutorials I have ever seen
Me who doesn’t even know how to make a character: ;-;
clearly youre watching the wrong video then?
@@scribblecloud she says that because Blender always starts us off with a cube. And as fun and clear as this video is, we don't know how to turn the cube into the smiling man because this video doesn't show how to make the smiling man.
i can help you if youd like, i enjoy making silly little characters
@@Eclendo i have gotten better at making little sillies now!! :3 thank you for the offer though that’s very kind
yeah same, but i only got blender about a month ago
THANK YOU SO MUCH OH MY GOD YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE THAT QUICKLY EXPLAINED HOW TO GET MY BONES TO STOP DISAPPEARING
Can't believe i just learned more from this than anything before lol
Other Tutorials: u need too name the whole thing on the bones and add a controll bone too idk I didn't waste ur time but set ur bones to bone-B
"You're God now!" is what I always think when watching blender character modeling and animating tutorials
Detailed enough and straight to the point at the same time I LOVE IT
i love these kinds of tutorials that dont overcomplicate things and get straight to the point. Its great for catching up on skills and getting a good idea for how to do a thing when you dont know how to start
Right off the bat, first mistake:
*DO NOT MOVE YOUR BONES IN OBJECT MODE*
It's important that both your model and your armature have their origin at the center. The Origin point is marked by that little orange dot. If you move it in Object Mode, it will move the origin as well. If either your model or armature are off center, it can cause issues during the rigging process.
To make sure your object has its origin at the center, press Ctrl+A in Object Mode, and select "All Transforms". This will apply the object's current location, rotation, and scale.
kinda but you can move your origin point wherever you want whenever it's necessary
Amazing
Thats the most beautifull creation i have *ever* seen
more like this please maybe a walking animation? Your guide is simple but effective!
thank you :)
how do you make your character floppy like in other projects
Check out my "how to make a happy man" video :)
This is a fantastic super-fast rundown of the basics. Nothing against longer tutorials, but scrubbing through a ten minute video just to find a keyboard shortcut I forgot can be a hassle. This is like having a cheat sheet 👌
I love you, I needed to know this so badly, I struggled to follow other tutorials but this is so clear-cut and precise!
Thank you, for teaching me how to animate in blender in 60 seconds 👍
crazy that I watched a 20 min video on rigging and I got so confused and then I watch this 1 minute video and its so easy, thank you so much!
Bro this tutorial was literaly so helpfull. I finaly understand blender. Thanks a lot!
Man the way you explain it just made my day!! 😅😅😅
Chel Mattson is a god. He taught me something for what the entire blender and unreal community would need 3 hours for, in one *******.minute. This guy is just superior in every way
Best Blender Tutorial 🔥
Why is this actually the most useful tutorial I've seen in a while
I'm just so good dude, what can I say?
@chelmattson on jiggity jiggles you are the supreme epic man of the blender tutorials
This man alone made me want animate, bless you.
The fact that you told us about automatic keyframes is the best thing ever, thank you so much!
It is supriseing that this is the only tutorial
That actually helped me.
And I was watching a long tutorial
The fact that this taught me how to key frame better than any other tutorial is astounding
Ok I have watched like 50 looong videos and the was the only one that actually showed me how to
This was the sinplest description that i wanted and deserved.
truely the most beautifal character in blender ever
Fastest, most NON-CONFUSING blender rig/animation tutorial I've ever seen. PUPPET TIME!! >:D Tysm!
The amount of times I watch this for the education and and jokes is unGODly.
I love the way you say bones, it bring me unreasonable happiness
I LOVE YOU THIS WAS SO QUICK AND EASY its a great start
best armature turorial ever
in one minute you explained more than my professor in 4 lectures
This is why I like blender. Also, this video is a really good explanation, thanks.
Wow, learning 10 minutes of work in 1 minute is an interesting work Nice👍🤩
Omg I needed this I’m learning animation and I had no clue what I was doing but this was the best tut ever thx man Lordy lord
The stickman looks so beautiful
I legit didn’t know how to actually animate in blender, but now I do. It was the word keyframes I kept missing in my searches.
Helpful than other long tutorial videos [ Perfect Example of short and sweet!! ]
Yoooo this is huge. Easy tutorial to follow. Big props.
He looks happy. I want to be as happy as him!
This might be the best Blender tutorial I've ever seen
The fact this is actually helpful
What a beautiful mode!
Tbh this is better than some full length tutorials
I love the ending. Funny stuff there. You earned a sub
*That character looks beautiful.*
The record button is the WORST. Pose your mesh, select all the bones and press "I" and select All Translations (Something along those lines), then move to the next frame number for your next movement and do the same. This will ensure that there are keys for each bone on those specific frames. It's also a lot more manageable that way.
how was this 1 minute long tutorial better than any rigging tutorial I've ever seen
Im actuallu trying to make a somewhat complicated model, and this will actually somewhat help me, thx!
this is gonna be sweeeet once i finish learning how to make the blender donut! >:3
This is easily the best Tutorial i have ever seen, and im a learning animator so ive seen a lot, youre my fav channel now
THIS HELPED ME A LOT ACTUALY NOW I KNOW WHAT TO DO THANKS!
This guy more helpful then half the blender videos lol
Thanks it is way faster than others and helps a lot
To repeat the animation you can also press shift + e after you select the keyframe and click on cycle
this is the most perfect video and explains everything beautifully
Omg my mom was watching the blender CGI videos on her account earlier today with me and now it shows up on my feed wow
Great job, you really nailed that
thank you I just started on blender modelings
*Chel Mattson* helped so many *Happy creators* create *Happy mans.* this is the most happiest thing ever.
Jokes aside, thank you so muchhhh! I created my first model because of this tutorial. this was the only tutorial that helped.
After months of scratching my head this is the best tutorial 😘👍👍👍👍
I doesn't know why but your voice is melodious that's make my interest in your video without know what you do😅
Straight to the point, this really helped!
"every computer's different you just dont wanna start a fire 🤷♀️" the best way to simplify how it feels to work with blender
This is perfect for my vrchat model. Thank you so much!
Simple, fast, easy to understand. Perfection
man ive been trying to rig a character for over a week! thank you so much for this simple video!! Ive finally figured it out lol
That's so cool to hear

This is my go to quick bone guide, cracks me up every time 😂
learned alot with this quick video this is amazing
Bro this just shortened an entire 6 part series with over 2 hours in each part, into a 45 second video. H O W
Ngl... This is the best tutorial on the subject so far...
i learned more from this than the 30 minute donut tutorial.
This tutorial explained things so quickly that... I actually understood it! :)
This is more useful than 90% of the tutorials out there
Finally, someone actually describes the colors when parenting
ow!! Thankyou!!
Most helpful blender video I've seen
