      I think the TL:DR was that Sam could've teleported to their destination, but used a charge on the staff for something else so when he found out there weren't enough charges.

      basically, sam was looking through his items and saw the teleport staff. he tells laura that he "could have done something else". she asked "other than the hole". he saids "I could have just teleported us." then you can hear the next bit ("why the fuck ect ect") he then says" I thoought I didn't know anyone on the moon but forgot they been there like 7 times". Marisha asked" do you have to know where to teleport", sam says no. Laura knows that they can't do it now because using misty step counts as using 1 of the charges. The staff has 7 charges? and to move the entire party you need all the charges cause it's 1 charge per person or something like that. anyway, sam asks why didn't they talk about it, laura says because we are dumb as fuck. Liam asked about the charges ashley catches on. then Ashley asks can they just do it now ect ect you can hear the rest.

    Campaign 1 Sam: Smart enough to pretend to fuck up his turn just so he can counterspell Vecna without Matt seeing it coming.
    Campaign 2 Sam: Drinks Eldermancy cocktail for the bit.
    Campaign 3 Sam: Forgets he can teleport despite doing it multiple times before.

    honestly im happy he forgot - teleporting blindly on enemy territory is a bad idea... sure he could theoretically teleport to the city and land in the laps of the enemies
    if they need it to get back home, im almost fairly sure theyll have at least one long rest bc i doubt theyll accomplish everything they need without having one long rest

      No, it's not. Just teleport a mile in any direction and a mile up into the sky, then cast Feather Fall. Before you fall back into enemies attack range, you will have enough time to activate wind walk and fly away.

      Given the fact that the moon is like another earth/planet, I highly doubt they are all evil. So that will give them more than enough places to have a long rest. And also they still have Ira who was meeting with more of the Rilaurens, so it is obvious there is at least one other faction that isn't the ones teamed up with Ludinous.

      They saw the city on the moon they could have teleported there. Cause that is their destination. They are at least going to long rest once or twice on the moon. So it was the perfect time to use it. But the other issue is if they teleport they could end up in another bad situation.

    • @FlorentiusIV
      @FlorentiusIV 9 месяцев назад +30

      The why is because he simply forgot that he could've teleport everyone away the moment they landed on the moon with the staff(or thought he couldn't on Ruidus). But once he remembered he had already used charges on the pass wall spell and didn't have enough for teleport anymore.

    • @Keyatzin
      @Keyatzin 9 месяцев назад +15

      @@FlorentiusIV The Teleport was their way out, when they get back to Exandria. As far as they know, the only way back from the moon is the Bloody Bridge, which will drop them right back in bad guy city central, without any allies causing a distraction or giving them cover, so they needed a way to escape fast. Now they may need to long rest on the moon, which also means they will run out of their Anti-Scry protection.

    • @Keyatzin
      @Keyatzin 9 месяцев назад

      @@adoragrayskull They really can't afford to explore the entire moon. The mission is infiltration/ information gathering, behind enemy lines and extraction back through an enemy stronghold. They're already being hunted. When their scry protection runs out, they're on a ticking clock. And the longer they spend on Ruidus, the more time the bad guys have to set up more defenses for both sides of the Bridge; which again, as far as anyone knows, is their only way back. More than 1 long rest, I'd say would be pushing it; but it's probably what they'll end up doing. haha

      @@adoragrayskullwell, he’s pretty much stuck, then. Before Imogen, the only class they hadn’t used was Sorcerer and that was probably because of Orion. If they decide to do a fourth campaign on the same scale, he’s either going to be a ranger (without an animal companion) or one of the Bloodhunter subclasses they haven’t done yet (which will basically make him a Witcher).
