Oh yes! In the first Calamity series, I recall the last episode was over 6 hours long. I'll be having my pot of coffee at the ready for the next and last Downfall episode. Brennon Lee Mulligan is NOT disappointing so far, and I expect the whole thing to come crashing down in a most spectacular way! (See what I did there? Eh? EH!? Yep, I'm a bona fide Canadian!)
Wait i forgot Laura used thd telepathic link to tell SILAHA meaning the betrayer gods where walking around and randomly heard "imp in my boobs" "oh dear" then radio silence
Slitch evolving into like a raven bone fiend or like a brand new type of fiend that was changed by living in the Matron’s domain would be metal. he’d have a title like “Slitch, The Matron’s First Beast” or “The Black Feathered Fiend”
The joy from everyone's faces to a little red bastard from hell is my favorite thing. Ashley's reactions in particular are so genuinely excited, I love it!
@@Missiletainnwhile this is true, they talk about this in downfall and it seems that the way it was set up was that there weren’t “individual channels” and it was all or nothing. which is hilarious
If Downfall is telling us anything, it's that the gods are neither good nor evil. Their fallible, their quirky, their dramatic, and the mages of Aeor are absolute scumbags who choked to death on their own hubris.
fallible, quirky, dramatic people arent usually all powerful beings where a family squabble has a body count in thousands.... like i have relatives who are fallible, quirky, and dramatic and I wouldnt trust them with an ant farm much less to guide and protect civilization
What? There were good people in Aeor. Mages that wanted to do good. Mages that didn’t agree with everything going on. Mages who wanted to help the gods. And just regular people wanting live regular lives. Idk how you can have so much sympathy for genocide the gods did but not the people and aeormatons who were all killed. The women the children and the eldery. Also the good men and women who just happened to be born in Aeor. The is the prime deities fault for never killing the betrayers.
@@RexZor76 Assuming that killing deities has no crazy consequences whatsoever. It was human hubris that brought the Betrayers back. And besides, from their godly perspective, they're still family. But yeah, the good and innocent in Aeor suffer the most. I wonder if those time capsule thingies are anything related to the Emissary. If they saved who they could in the end. One episode left to see I suppose
I love the idea that Slitch just works for the Matron now, like there's just this imp somewhere with crazy powers because the Matron fucked up, but honestly finds it funny and now has a little imp pet.
I think he’s actually supposed to be a quasit since Aoer binds demons and not devils. Place there was no mention of wings or a scorpion tail in his description
CR has been gradually moving away from official D&D in its world building since Legend of Vox Machina (and to a lesser degree the OGL scandal) made using WotC's intellectual property more complicated. Since imps are fairly common in several fantasy stories and quasits aren't, I could see them being lumped together into just generic fiends on both sides, similar to succubi and incubi.
Are you folks enjoying Downfall?
Not really. The voices in the first one made me sick. Physically ill. And then the story was very slow. Players and GM are great though.
Very much so, story is so far 2 episodes of shenanigans with one the most brutal single rounds of combat that CR has seen
I have loved downfall so far. The creative decisions, the great role-playing, I am in love with all of it.
To be a god in a game of D&D. The premise is dope AF.

Note to anyone watching - do not drink anything.
Slitch's "Yay" made me spit water.
Saw this too late. There is coffee on my laptop please send help
I had the same reaction live, and _again_ in this vignette 🤣
"I'm allowed out?" is a top line
I think Slitch and Baby would get along really well
Slitch would be the straight man in that scenario and that, frankly, is a terrifying thought 😂
@@MsCunningLinguistic😂
😂
Brennan and his freaky little imps
wretchrot, slitch, paddles-man loves these little flying talking purse dogs
@@getheideadon't forget "Baby-baby"
Baby Slitch meetup when!!
The ink imps from worlds beyond number are great too!
I hope this dude ends up becoming some type of mini champion or stronger servant to the raven queen
Slitch, the champions' aide
Well imps can turn into ravens in DnD. So it checks out

@@KaraOni13 thats the reason why he HAS to live!! I love characters like that. Such a lucky moment.
im just imaging slitch just perched inbetween her clevage just propped up in there, like a chair.
That makes one of us!

“This is absolutely enormous opportunity for me.” 😂😂😂 I love this line. It feels like switching sides for job security. 😂
Nick having a hard time staying on his seat when he laughs is just great
"I don't wanna talk to my boobs"
"that makes one of us"
severely underrated exchange
The collective “oof!” And realization that someone thought this was a way to HELP….
The thing about "Imp in my boobs" is that everyone affected by Rary's Telepathic Bond hears your messages
Asmodeus: “Wtf???”
No, that's not how the spell works, you CAN talk to everyone, you can also talk to individuals, doesn't mean everything you say is sent to everyone

4:40 the whole table becoming one big awkward cringe 😅 -- except for Abubakar Salim who just pulled a Travis and burst out deep-laughing
20 big bottles of booze 😂
One bottle of booze.
Yay!

Brennannnnn Leeeeee Mulligannnnnn..... Page three-hundred-sixty-fourrrrrrr....
Between the chaotic energy of Baby /Baby Baby and charming opportunist Slitch, all I can say is that Brennan just does imps right
Always love when Brennan is a freaky little guy
I fucking love Slitch
Slitch is a Laura-bait name.
Now this is a compilation I can get behind
The ending scene was selected perfectly from Stargate Atlantis... showcasing the last known ancient city known to mankind!! 👌
My new favorite critical role character
Slitch should meet Bolo. Somehow.
Words can't describe how much I love that little demon
Spoiler Alert: The poem starts with "There once was a man from Marquet..."
My absolute FAVORITE scene so far
TP how about Talisson reaction while Brennan is describing the bar
I second this, his reactions were incredible lol

I feel like the matron is still in the possession of Slitch
Slitch and Bolo spin-off when?
Ok the Stargate Atlantis made me laugh out loud
Slitch is Brennan's Victor
Now I want an improv fireside chat where Slitch and Victor have tea

lol what is with everyone using Atlantis from Stargate as the flying city shots rofl.
Because that is also a flying city of super-tech?
I was gonna ask about that cause it looked super cool and I was wondering where this really neat fan made intro came from 😅
