My maternal grandmother made wonderful chicken and dumplings when we came to visit. As she got older into her eighties it was too much for her. So when we came to see her she always liked to go to McDonald's. Bless her heart 💜

My grandma cooked so good too but she'd also LOVE her some McDonald's lol it was so funny, she was so old fashioned and prim & proper so she felt ashamed to be seen eating McDonald's 🤣
She'd kinda whisper to me " Lord, Stephanie im wanting me a big mac, do you wanna go with me?" LoL like a lady shouldnt be seen eating such things lol 😆
She passed last October and i got as many of her recipes as i could to cherish 😍

HOORAY, I made this today! It came out sooo sooo delicious. I had watched this video this morning, not even looking for it. My mouth began to water while watching. I hadn't had chicken and dumplings in YEARS. My mom made them quite a lot when I was growing up. I had everything needed and decided to make. I did however, forget to add the egg to the batter, and it was still on POINT! It was so easy. I'll be making this more often.
    Thank you 🍲💕

I've made your recipe twice, and we love it! My hubby RAVED about it!! I did cheat and bought refrigerator biscuits instead of making my dumplings from scratch, HOWEVER we are currently sick and I made this for comfort food. It's almost gone (literally the only thing we could eat yesterday and today) and I feel like I need to make more! So if I am feeling up to it, I plan on making more tomorrow (we are expecting snow and ice and it just sounds like a day made for this recipe), and I don't have refrigerator biscuits so I will be following your recipe to make even the dumplings from scratch. Thank you a million times!!!!

Easy tip that levels up chicken n dumplings, add a can of cream of chicken soup! Makes them creamy, thick, and delicious. Just like the way my great grandma used to do it :P
