How did you tune out exhaust avcs ? I just did a ej20xz swap and I notice a dramatic loss of power in first gear, especially with the a/c on. Im wondering what I need to do to fix this.
I hit up shinji tuned on Facebook! Super detailed tuner seems like he pays more attention and cares more or at least knows what he is doing and is more thorough. Just tell him what engine you have and what needs done. I have had a good experience with this swap and tune process on this lgt !
There are companies that offer a splice in kit to utilize the dual avcs I believe. With leaving them unplugged I believe they are stuck in a retarded position, so just tell your tuner and I believe they can advance them accordingly in the tune or at least have them slightly open to split the difference lol hit up @shinjituned for tuning questions and answers, he is a good guy.
It is rated for around the same hp. Because it has forged rods and crank and semi forged pistons it is capable of revving 1000 rpm higher than usdm models and has higher comp pistons I believe. It's been a while since I've researched them but this is my understanding.
Hey man i have 05 subaru legacy gt with the EJ20X swap. I thought the EJ20Y was the maunal tranmission. So is it possible to have a manual tranmission with a EJ20X?
They are very similar I put this ej20x which is from an automatic into my lgt with just swapping the plates like Andrew mentioned and vise versa. I have heard the ej20y is slightly more desirable with maybe more hp ?

What did you do with the exhaust cam sensors som usdm engine hardness don't come with the connectors

Yes just swap the plate on the back of the engine
