I tend to feel like every video you shoot is more visually pleasing than any case you review. :D Its just so relaxing seeing those perfect camera angles and that depth of field. :D Keep up the good work Dmitri!
+Swagdalf the Pimp I feel like almost in every video someone is saying exactly what you said. I too have said this many times. It's a one of a kind channel. :)
Please bring back the pro/cons lists at the end of the videos! was such a well implemented part of the video that was great for deciding on cases based on suitability
Finally. Been waiting for this review quite some time, as it was not found in the retail outlets. Outta impulse, I placed my order on Amazon 3 days ago. Thnx for the great review still.
+XtremeDrake If you want full water cooling support and noise dampening foam, go Define S. If you only need AIO watercooling support and would appreciate a smaller case, go S340. If you don't need water cooling but still want noise dampening foam, go P400S. If you want an inferior product, go 400C.
+HardwareCanucks why do you mount the radiator in front of the case with the hot air being pushed inside the case and not the other way around? I've seen people do this and it puts all the hot air from the rad back into the case, increases temps by 2-5c
This is a non issue. Jayztwocents did a video on this and showed that it has virtually no effect on temps inside the case. All you need is good airflow, which this case has and the warm air is sucked out as fast as it comes in. Also this case does not allow for 280mm rads to be installed up top only smaller and thinner 240 mm rads are likely to work as the motherboard clearance is an issue.
Still rocking this thing in 2022. LOVE the hinge panel that is seen less today. Hides cables well. Still fits 3 fan GPU with front rad; its just the right size.
I bought this case and I really like it so far. Its a little smaller than most atx cases and the cable management has limited room, but is generally really good and thought out. The front IO is also easy to route to mobo. Another thing to keep in mind is that you pretty much have to have a modular power supply or it will be pure hell to stuff all those cables under that shroud. Other than that, its got alot of fan/radiator support and the door is awesome!
I have the 400q version of this case. Its basically the same design. The one complaint I have with the case is the front panel. In order to get to the front filter, you have to remove the front panel, which is held together with 6 plastic tabs that snap in place. You need to bend the tabs back to remove the front panel, but you can only do that by removing both side panels. Also, the plastic tabs that snap in place feel a little flimsy, and I can see them eventually breaking off.
The side panel that opens as a door is fantastic! My biggest complaint is these ATX cases where you have to put the AIO radiator on the front panel. There is no excuse for not allowing enough room at the top to easily mount a radiator, so that you can still have unrestricted flow from the front panel to the back.
Wow, I'm surprised the Define S is actually bigger than this after looking at the specifications. Might be more interested in this case for a future build now.
I really like this case. It's very similar to the Define S windowed version except that it's not meant for noise dampening, shroud on the PSU and HDD drive cage, single bottom filter at the back and the top and front have magnetic dust filters. If only it came with at least one opical drive bay then I would weigh this against the Define R5 which is my current favorite case hands down. Corsair did a FANTASTIC job!
My biggest gripe with this is that you can actually see the LED strips instead of just the light they give off. It's kind of between the NZXT S340 and Phanteks P400 for me
I'd actually prefer the 400c to still have the inverted layout, just be as small and cheap as the 400c. Guess I'm one of the few people that keep their computer on the left hand side.
damn i was at one step to make my own case right on this inverted ideea then i say lets make a search and after a couple of houres i found it THIS ONE....nice video keep it up.
Dimitri, you may not remember but did you experience noticeable case vibration? It's the one thing that is stopping me from waiting for the quite version of this case.
they need to make a full tower carbide case that is non-inverted bc some it would look really nice for the larger EATX builds. I just love how clean this case looks
2019 and I still can't anything to replace this case. E-atx mobo and 3 fan Gpus fits this case with front rad installed. Temps around 70 gaming on summer day with air cooled gpu and aio on cpu
Nice! I am doing a hackintosh on my system too at the same time. I have zero access to a Macintosh so I had to install Snow Leopard from retail disc first, upgrade to a certain firmware to get the mac app store and blablabla, until today I finally managed to install El Capitan :D I'm still running into issues with my overclock, so if you can show that in your upcoming video how you could get a working overclock that would be appreaciated!
That Gryphon Armor board along with the PS cover makes for one super clean look. I am disappointed however that they have dust filtering and offset adjustable slots for 3 fans on top yet, you can't really put a water cooling unit there.
Let's see that Hackintosh! I've been running my Z77 system for almost 3 years and only just now had some issues due to switching to Clover and updating to El Capitan. Once you get your system stable, you might show us a dual boot, or just a separate boot drive to run Windows, Ubuntu, or some other OS just for fun.
I wonder why most good cases keep the SSD brackets hidden, like in this one it's located at the back side of the case. IMO SSDs are aesthetically good and very nice to see, unlike 3.5" HDDs
Hey Dmitri, great review! Could you please tell me how you routed the fan power cables? didnt see a hub on the back like some other cases and it didnt look like you were plugging them into your mobo.
I wish that the magnetic dust filters Corsair use on the top of some of their cases (including this one) were better made. Other than that looks like a great case!
really wish this case had space for a 5.25 inch bay (yes, 4.25 inch bays are old, but some media is still based off of cds and dvds). other than that, good case.
I can't imagine how much patience you've got to have in order to fully transfer an entire functioning system back and forth everytime you have the hands on a new case. anyways, nice looking use of plastic plants as props
Nice content man. Its awesome that its out already in the US. Do you know if the UK are to get it this month as well? I've tried asking Corsair on Twitter and Facebook but they ignore the comments :( I've also asked UK suppliers who have it available for pre order but even they couldnt give a release date. I have new parts sitting beside me ready but no other case has taken my fancy. This is definitely THE case.
Hey! Great Video! your discription says for mid-tier builds but why? im planning on using this case for my high end build. Sorry if you mentioned it, i wasnt able to watch this video with sound yet!
Great review! But I have one question: can you test if it's possible to mount fans inside the front panel? I planning to buy this case to make a custom watercooling loop with a 280mm radiator in the front. To save some space inside I was thinking to put the fans (2x 140MM) inside the front panel itself, but I have no idea if this will work.
I like this case. I would love it if the front panel would just pop off because I really dislike the way it is held to the front of the chassis with the plastic hooks that need to be pushed outwards so you can take it off. It means you need to take both side panels just to get to the front filter. If I am wrong about this let me know. Because there are many other competitors that have a very easy to maintain case when it comes to cleaning and it seems this case lacks it. And I am but corsair fan boy, I am so disappointed this basic feature is here and they use a very very old feature.
Hi Dmitry, i really like all your video review. it's look clean and informative. Can you share your configuration you use for daily video review. What lighting setup you use and what camera and accessoreies (rig etc) ? Thanks.
Sorry if I didn't hear it but I can't seem to find where you can access your optical drive if you have one, seeing as the front panel is taken up by the 2 fans.
+HardwareCanucks Hackintosh please, and excellent video shoot and Bonsai tree on top of your case looks damn good and eye pleasing in videos and keep up the good work man :)
It seems to me that Corsair could beat the P400 and the S340, so they probably felt it warranted a price increase. I guess I agree. Some people would say that it you spend €10-20 more you'll get XYZ, but that could be said for any case that the 400C competes with. It's a damn good case indeed!
Yes, I was waiting for you to review this case. I love it, but too bad it's not maybe priced at $79 or even $89. It could be more competitive, but nevertheless I still find it quite interesting and it's nice looking. Minimal, just the way I like it.
I tend to feel like every video you shoot is more visually pleasing than any case you review. :D Its just so relaxing seeing those perfect camera angles and that depth of field. :D Keep up the good work Dmitri!
+Swagdalf the Pimp Glad you enjoy it :D
+HardwareCanucks I'm watching this in 1440p and it looks incredible
+Andres Celano 360p master race
Giver and remover of Internet cancer. do't u mean 144p?
+Swagdalf the Pimp I feel like almost in every video someone is saying exactly what you said. I too have said this many times. It's a one of a kind channel. :)
HardwareCanucks is by far my favourite channel for reviews and pc related things, keep up the amazing work Dimitri and friends
Please bring back the pro/cons lists at the end of the videos! was such a well implemented part of the video that was great for deciding on cases based on suitability
I love this case. Still am using it after 7 years as it is very compact and has a unique side panel that I absolutely love. No more thumb screws!
I seriously appreciate how you fully build a system into the case you're reviewing...always a nice tough in my book.
Sorry if I'm a bit late
But
You're acting in Guardians of the galaxy was astounding, almost as good as your camera skills ;)
+Eccentric Trolling ?
+The DERP Soldier true to his name, I guess.
+Daniel Chong He looks like the main Character
I guess he looks a little like Chris Pratt... Kinda...
+Daniel Chong yes true.
Finally. Been waiting for this review quite some time, as it was not found in the retail outlets. Outta impulse, I placed my order on Amazon 3 days ago. Thnx for the great review still.
Corsair 400C VS Phanteks P400S VS Fractal Design S VS Nzxt S340
Can I have a hybrid of them all?
For 69 pls
I want them to have an orgy and make babies! I can't decide which to get. Each of them have something lacking that another have.
+Besserwerdenimtryharden du hast 69 gesagt hihi
+XtremeDrake If you want full water cooling support and noise dampening foam, go Define S.
If you only need AIO watercooling support and would appreciate a smaller case, go S340.
If you don't need water cooling but still want noise dampening foam, go P400S.
If you want an inferior product, go 400C.
***** yea.. I didn't quite like the top hole for S340's exterior. Would either go for P400s or define s design.
You're one of the best video makers around RUclips! Love your reviews!
Where's the pros and cons list, like you typically did in every case review?
+2dfx We've stopped doing them a long time ago. Instead its a verbal conclusion only :D
+HardwareCanucks Why did you stop that doing that list it seemed like a good format
+HardwareCanucks why do you mount the radiator in front of the case with the hot air being pushed inside the case and not the other way around? I've seen people do this and it puts all the hot air from the rad back into the case, increases temps by 2-5c
In the review, he said that there was no space for radiators at the top (2:47)
This is a non issue. Jayztwocents did a video on this and showed that it has virtually no effect on temps inside the case. Love this, finally something compact ATX mid tower unlike define S, which is too big...
Still rocking this thing in 2022. LOVE the hinge panel that is seen less today. Hides cables well. Still fits 3 fan GPU with front rad; its just the right size.

Yes I want to see the hackintosh please
I dont know why I keep coming back to re-watch this multiple times since I actually own the case :'D
continuous videos. I love it! Always looking forward to your upcoming projects!
Great video, this convinced me to get the case as there aren't that many video reviews up right now of this product! Thanks!
that music makes me feel depressed, but its super riveting, hopefulness, idk im just rambling but that music is bae.
I have the 400q version of this case. Its basically the same design. The one complaint I have with the case is the front panel. In order to get to the front filter, you have to remove the front panel, which is held together with 6 plastic tabs that snap in place.

I just got this case. Absolutely love it!
Would definitely love to see a Hackintosh build video! Great review, by the by. You set the gold standard for TechTuber cinematography =)
Wow, I'm surprised the Define S is actually bigger than this after looking at the specifications. Might be more interested in this case for a future build now.
This looks so good that i plan to buy two of them.
One for the computer I'm planning to buy, and one to replace the 300R case on the old computer.
*looking at the flower pot*
"Do you come with the case?"
Flower pot: "Oh you! Tee-hee-hee-hee!"
you can move the psu cut out for the gpu like 2.5cm to the right. 4:48 shows where you can move it if you pause it
would like to see a larger version with bottom fan mounts and a front to back single dust filter with fan controller
i am not talking about the inverted older brother of this thing
Yea i agree it would be nice to have a larger version of the 400c
I'm glad to see Corsair cases, but I still wish they'd continue the Obsidian line more in the vein of what they originally did with it.
I've just built my system with this case and it is amazing to work with, great looking and it was cheaper than i.e. a R5 or H440
+João Martins Can you tell me wich fan size does it have in the back? I just ordered it and want to have some fans ready to install.
+Edgar Palma Murillo Is a 120mm in the back and 140mm front
+João Martins Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply, wasnt expecting that lol It can take 140mm on the top right?
I'd love to hear how you did your build and hackintosh setup in more detail!
Love the design of this series of cases.
Just found the case for my new PC :)
Thanks for that great review :)
Great video, very much interested in your hackintosh build!
I really love how high the legs lift the case off the ground. Great if you have no choice but to sit your PC on the carpet for a while.
My biggest gripe with this is that you can actually see the LED strips instead of just the light they give off. It's kind of between the NZXT S340 and Phanteks P400 for me
I like very much pc reviews and somethings new can always be fun to watch
I'd actually prefer the 400c to still have the inverted layout, just be as small and cheap as the 400c. Guess I'm one of the few people that keep their computer on the left hand side.
damn i was at one step to make my own case right on this inverted ideea then i say lets make a search and after a couple of houres i found it THIS ONE....nice video keep it up.
this case has a good chance of being by next case when i upgrade end of year unless something better comes along. i really dig the looks and features
this is the best cabinet I ever seen. i just love it. and good luck ;)
Dimitri, you may not remember but did you experience noticeable case vibration? It's the one thing that is stopping me from waiting for the quite version of this case.
they need to make a full tower carbide case that is non-inverted bc some it would look really nice for the larger EATX builds. I just love how clean this case looks
there's the obsidian series... or nah?
nah fam they need to make a full tower atx carbide case
two months ago I've saw Corsair 600C was inverted version
but this time 400C is standard version
2019 and I still can't anything to replace this case. E-atx mobo and 3 fan Gpus fits this case with front rad installed. Temps around 70 gaming on summer day with air cooled gpu and aio on cpu
Seeing how you got that hackintosh going would be interesting.
Corsair needs to make a Case Similar to the 550D without any 5.25" bays. Noise Dampening foam ya'll. It's the shit.
+rajesh koothrappali I have to agree. I have a 550D and it would be the perfect case without the 5.25" bays.
I would love to see the video about the Hackintosh
Finaly! Dimitry giving OS X and Final Cut a shot! :D
That Gryphon Armor board along with the PS cover makes for one super clean look.
I am disappointed however that they have dust filtering and offset adjustable slots for 3 fans on top yet, you can't really put a water cooling unit there.
Thanks, I want this case review. Speaking of which, I just remember I had a dream about a computer case.
Show the Hackintosh Build!!! I just did one with a Gigabyte Z97X-Sli, 4790k and a GTX 960. Works great! I would love to see how you did it.
Looks good, but 600C seems more fun.
2021 and this is still my case.
Do the Hackintosh video please!
Would be nice if you could give the height clearance for air coolers in your case reviews, other than that great review for an interesting case.
The only thing I don't like about this case is the small 120mm rear exhaust. It should be 140mm. Do you think I could jam a 140mm fan in there?
YES a hackintosh video would be amazing!
Man i found this on vergeside pickup and it was brand new, im excited to get it working
What's up with the potted plants? Also I would like to see a build of the hackintosh.
This looks great... I wish they had a version with the clear panel on the other side like the 600C though :s
Tube steel stands are a must on cases like this!!!
Do a all Graphite Series Corsair cases since 2010 comparison!
Don't know whether to watch the video or bust a flow to that sick beat in the background. Seriously where are you getting your background music?
Awesome review as always!
By the way, which mic do you use for those on camera shots?
@HardwareCanucks Which case of this size and price would you recommend a year later?
MyNegativeCreep the 400c or s340 elite
Did you ever do the hackintosh build in this case? That would really interest me. Thinking of getting the 400 Q/C or Fractal Define R5.
I wish that the magnetic dust filters Corsair use on the top of some of their cases (including this one) were better made. Other than that looks like a great case!
I really like the P400S, but the 400C looks sooo good.
Got this case and love it.
really wish this case had space for a 5.25 inch bay (yes, 4.25 inch bays are old, but some media is still based off of cds and dvds). other than that, good case.
I can't imagine how much patience you've got to have in order to fully transfer an entire functioning system back and forth everytime you have the hands on a new case.
anyways, nice looking use of plastic plants as props

+proinmaking Amazon states February 17th! :D
Hey! Great Video!
your discription says for mid-tier builds but why? im planning on using this case for my high end build. Sorry if you mentioned it, i wasnt able to watch this video with sound yet!
Corsair 400C VS Phanteks Enthoo Pro M acrylic window edition. I would really like to see a showdown between those two!!!
I'm definitely interested in an upcoming Hackintosh video!
I would love to see a video on your experience with hackingtosh i tried but have currently utterly failed accomplishing it.
yes, please show us your Hackintosh settup
I was looking at the Inwin 303, but then I found this beauty. Also, it's currently going for $80 on Amazon.
Классная картина на стене "Как работал - так заработал" - не плохой мотиватор :)
Great review! But I have one question: can you test if it's possible to mount fans inside the front panel? Hi Dmitry, i really like all your video review. it's look clean and informative. Can you share your configuration you use for daily video review. What lighting setup you use and what camera and accessoreies (rig etc) ? Thanks.
Like x1000 ur reviews are so awesome man :)
HardwareCanucks - HLLYY FFFFFF THE CAMERA WOOORRKKK
it looks really good with MATX square motherboards
Sorry if I didn't hear it but I can't seem to find where you can access your optical drive if you have one, seeing as the front panel is taken up by the 2 fans.
Without adding internal lighting to the case, can you see the components despite the tinted window?
Very nice looking case!!! Please show how to do the Hackintosh!!!
I have a question, would taking out the SSD tray make it have more space for wires? Because I would just use the sleds for one SSD and HDD. Thank you
+HardwareCanucks Hackintosh please, and excellent video shoot and Bonsai tree on top of your case looks damn good and eye pleasing in videos and keep up the good work man :)
Make it in white and I'll ditch my S340, I love that side panel design.
Where do you get your plants from? I love them!
Minimal, just the way I like it.
very nice, looks like one of the better things corsair has released.
