A headcanon I have is where the protagonist and his girlfriend decided to keep their relationship a secret for a bit. It is is fitting for someone like Futaba or Makoto who could've made the request out of shyness. So when Futaba asks in this scene, she's anxiously wondering if Joker is gonna spill the beans or not while Makoto who seemed angry could be wondering if Ren played along with the secret as an excuse to form more secret relationships... The ambiguous "person I love" could also be Joker referring to someone like Tae or any of the adults for it would be pretty obvious why one would keep that a secret.
I can just imagine Joker eyeballing his girlfriend like “After all the lengths we went to so we could hide it for your comfort, you want me to just casually drop that we have been dating for months?”

If only this game had the ability to date like in the other games, I would say it would have to be one of the greatest games of all time with such fun combat and really entertaining character stories. I really hope if they choose to do this type of action persona game, they add in the ability to date.
@@thatoneguy5343 Regular P5 continuity. dancing in starlight was before Royal so no Kasumi at that point so yeah it's possible since Royal that she is the closest to Ren but Dancing in Starlight pretty much confirmed that Futaba has Romantic feelings for Ren and Makoto was suggested to have some feelings for Ren but if we add P5 royal to the Mix I'd Guess It'd be Kasumi and Futaba as Kasumi straight up says she loves Ren And In Dancing in Starlight Futaba Gives a round about confession knowing that no one including Herself and Ren will remember what transpired. so yes Kasumi would be likely be the highest possibility followed by Futaba as in Royal Futaba also has a round about confession to Ren which can be cancelled out if you pursue another romance route. But one thing for sure is Ren is a lucky dude Both Kasumi And Futaba like him
@@wolfder6661 Personally, I view Joker and Futaba having more of a sibling dynamic given they’re both under the care of Sojiro. Regarding Yoshizawa, like you said she’s more likely, and her ultimate persona is literally one in a wedding dress who is Cinderella who also has her own prince charming. The symbolism of Yoshizawa being paired with Cinderella as her persona along with her Metaverse attire being very akin to Joker’s pretty much makes her the semi/pseudo canon girlfriend.

True, gotta give Sumire props for shooting first for a love confession before Ren could say anything first! Usually it’s the other way around lol. Makes accepting her love confession all the more sweeter. Although I gotta give major respect for Sumi for taking the potential rejection with grace with wanting to get her feelings out there and to still be great friends afterwards.
And this is why I wish the player could've taken P5s data into consideration for the sake of it being clear or at that point the player basically confirms who they picked in the previous game. If the player went the harem route then that'd be a different and interesting ballpark that wouldn't be good for Joker lol.

@@jakeriese4862 What do you mean? If you're asking why I would pick Ann, it's mainly because I find her to be the most relatable Phantom Thief. Like her, I had to travel a lot when I was young because of my parents work, and when I got older I felt isolated and had only one friend who'm I've now know for the most of my life and who still means a lot to me. So, while I experienced different kind of problems due to these things than she did, I was still able to understand her on a more personal level. Plus, I find her to be cute both in looks and personality.

Headcanon: The girls want to find out who Joker's referring to. Joker, the unlucky son of a bitch that he is in love, stepped on that landmine HARD. So as they pressure him to explain... he ducks out by running with an excuse. Reason being? He fell for ALL their charms: Ann's caring attitude, Makoto's charm, Futaba's innocence and adorableness, and Haru's sweet and elegant air. The problem is, choosing one girl would make the others sad, so the poor bastard can't just pick... It's unfair to the others. And god help him, he's no two-timing punk, he's a good boy who's mother certainly didn't terrify him with the idea that cheaters were scum.
You and I seem to share the same idea when it comes to Joker, he has the idea that his heart is for his "special one". But being that he fell for ALL of the Phantom girls (Violet too if Royal is counted, and maybe the women outside the PTs), the poor man can't figure out what or who he truly wants. And on the off chance he went the harem route, he feels like he screwed everything up. And that he'll be lonely for the rest of his life, with Joker himself believing in the idea that he's some kind of player, cheater, liar, and an "actor" with no feelings (refers to the many masks he wears when he gains a Persona). EDIT: And even if he _didn't_ screw up and go for a harem, he still feels bad.

No love for the Shogi queen? Hifumi's intelligent, bombastic when playing a game, and outrageously beautiful (especially in the OVA). Sad to see her not in Strikers, but here's to hoping Hifumi returns as a full playable member in the next P5 game.
@@monaqq While I too believe Persona 6 will be it's own thing with it's own characters and story, as previous mainline games have done, I am really hoping Mishima's book on the Phantom Thieves he said he'd be writing will appear at the school library in Persona 6 as some kind of easter egg. I know each game take place in the same universe, from what I've been told but I still wonder exactly how much of the whole world knew about the thieves. I just remember someone in their group mentioned how people outside of Japan knew of their existence. I know there's a poster of Rise found in the subway during any playthrough of Persona 5 and even though it doesn't show her name on it, I know with these games the characters the player spends time with are always distinct and very different looking compared to all other characters in the game. Basically what I meant by distinct is not only exactly how it sounded but I also meant there's really never another character in the world that like anything like the more focused-on characters. Though I know it was really just a reference is all. Oh! I apologize for my rambling! This happens a lot especially when I'm talking about the things I like, so it's why I'm apologizing. I'm still somewhat annoyed that this so-called sequel basically retconned the bonds with teammstes and other confidants made in Persona 5. Strong true personas achieved through forging real bonds and defeating a god? Nope, let's downgrade them back like nothing happened. Your confidants fighting for you to create you a positive image while you are stuck in jail? Guess the populace have a short memory and the Internet remembers nothing. Also, what a huge wasted opportunity to answer the girls about previously romanced confidants, especially the older women. Or having Sophie saying something like the affectionate woman that called you not long ago, the one named ..., is she the one you love?
Dude wtf, all the confidants in the game are not canon they are just content for the game, but of course u persona fans don't know that because u just play the game blindly thinking everything is canon to the game, and this is a different genre all about there journey trip across Japan and an action game, and there are already Forged bond with there each that didn't go which that why they have this road trip that they are best friends through out the experience
@@john_7000 Yes, the confidants are the content, but they are a substantial part of the content, which made Persona 5 so attractive as a game. That is why the lack of, at least, references to the characters, who played an important role in helping the Phantom Thiefes to defeat a god, makes the game, for me personally, lacking storywise. Also, yes, they already have strong bonds with one another. But if that is the case, why did their personas got downgraded to their original selves like at the start of Persona 5? The emotional growth seized to exist after half a year? Or should we assume the team defeated the true enemy of Persona 5 without Joker achieving maximum bonds with his friends in the previous game? And another thing, are there many people who went through the game without romancing anyone? I mean, the fact of Joker not romancing anyone in the previous game, as presented in this sequel, is ok. That is one of the possible outcomes. But, for me personally, at least, the lack of an option to transfer the relationships with a character from the previous game to the sequel is a serious drawback and quite the missed opportunity. Because after Persona 3 I just cannot imagine a Persona game without at least a bit of romantic content. P.S. By the populace and the Internet I meant the in-game ones, not the real-life people.

I mean I don't think it's that bad considering getting those Personas are related to a significant growth in character. If only this game had the ability to date like in the other games, I would say it would have to be one of the greatest games of all time with such fun combat and really entertaining character stories. I really hope if they choose to do this type of action persona game, they add in the ability to date.

@@thatoneguy5343 Regular P5 continuity. dancing in starlight was before Royal so no Kasumi at that point so yeah it's possible since Royal that she is the closest to Ren but Dancing in Starlight pretty much confirmed that Futaba has Romantic feelings for Ren and Makoto was suggested to have some feelings for Ren but if we add P5 royal to the Mix I'd Guess It'd be Kasumi and Futaba as Kasumi straight up says she loves Ren And In Dancing in Starlight Futaba Gives a round about confession knowing that no one including Herself and Ren will remember what transpired. so yes Kasumi would be likely be the highest possibility followed by Futaba as in Royal Futaba also has a round about confession to Ren which can be cancelled out if you pursue another romance route. But one thing for sure is Ren is a lucky dude Both Kasumi And Futaba like him
@@wolfder6661 Personally, I view Joker and Futaba having more of a sibling dynamic given they’re both under the care of Sojiro. Regarding Yoshizawa, like you said she’s more likely, and her ultimate persona is literally one in a wedding dress who is Cinderella who also has her own prince charming. The symbolism of Yoshizawa being paired with Cinderella as her persona along with her Metaverse attire being very akin to Joker’s pretty much makes her the semi/pseudo canon girlfriend.

@@jakeriese4862 What do you mean? If you're asking why I would pick Ann, it's mainly because I find her to be the most relatable Phantom Thief. Like her, I had to travel a lot when I was young because of my parents work, and when I got older I felt isolated and had only one friend who'm I've now know for the most of my life and who still means a lot to me. So, while I experienced different kind of problems due to these things than she did, I was still able to understand her on a more personal level. Plus, I find her to be cute both in looks and personality.

Headcanon:
The girls want to find out who Joker's referring to. Joker, the unlucky son of a bitch that he is in love, stepped on that landmine HARD. So as they pressure him to explain... he ducks out by running with an excuse. Reason being? He fell for ALL their charms: Ann's caring attitude, Makoto's charm, Futaba's innocence and adorableness, and Haru's sweet and elegant air. The problem is, choosing one girl would make the others sad, so the poor bastard can't just pick... It's unfair to the others. And god help him, he's no two-timing punk, he's a good boy who's mother certainly didn't terrify him with the idea that cheaters were scum.
You and I seem to share the same idea when it comes to Joker, he has the idea that his heart is for his "special one". But being that he fell for ALL of the Phantom girls (Violet too if Royal is counted, and maybe the women outside the PTs), the poor man can't figure out what or who he truly wants. And on the off chance he went the harem route, he feels like he screwed everything up. And that he'll be lonely for the rest of his life, with Joker himself believing in the idea that he's some kind of player, cheater, liar, and an "actor" with no feelings (refers to the many masks he wears when he gains a Persona).
EDIT: And even if he _didn't_ screw up and go for a harem, he still feels bad.

No love for the Shogi queen? Hifumi's intelligent, bombastic when playing a game, and outrageously beautiful (especially in the OVA).
Sad to see her not in Strikers, but here's to hoping Hifumi returns as a full playable member in the next P5 game.
I hope they do make another P5 game or at least have P6 be like a time skip sequel that could possibly carry over the choices we made in Royal....

@@monaqq While I too believe Persona 6 will be it's own thing with it's own characters and story, as previous mainline games have done, I am really hoping Mishima's book on the Phantom Thieves he said he'd be writing will appear at the school library in Persona 6 as some kind of easter egg. I know each game take place in the same universe, from what I've been told but I still wonder exactly how much of the whole world knew about the thieves. I just remember someone in their group mentioned how people outside of Japan knew of their existence.
I know there's a poster of Rise found in the subway during any playthrough of Persona 5 and even though it doesn't show her name on it, I know with these games the characters the player spends time with are always distinct and very different looking compared to all other characters in the game. Basically what I meant by distinct is not only exactly how it sounded but I also meant there's really never another character in the world that like anything like the more focused-on characters. Though I know it was really just a reference is all.

I'm still somewhat annoyed that this so-called sequel basically retconned the bonds with teammstes and other confidants made in Persona 5. Strong true personas achieved through forging real bonds and defeating a god? Nope, let's downgrade them back like nothing happened. Your confidants fighting for you to create you a positive image while you are stuck in jail? Guess the populace have a short memory and the Internet remembers nothing. Also, what a huge wasted opportunity to answer the girls about previously romanced confidants, especially the older women. Or having Sophie saying something like the affectionate woman that called you not long ago, the one named ..., is she the one you love?
Dude wtf, all the confidants in the game are not canon they are just content for the game, but of course u persona fans don't know that because u just play the game blindly thinking everything is canon to the game, and this is a different genre all about there journey trip across Japan and an action game, and there are already Forged bond with there each that didn't go which that why they have this road trip that they are best friends through out the experience
@@john_7000 Yes, the confidants are the content, but they are a substantial part of the content, which made Persona 5 so attractive as a game. That is why the lack of, at least, references to the characters, who played an important role in helping the Phantom Thiefes to defeat a god, makes the game, for me personally, lacking storywise. Also, yes, they already have strong bonds with one another. But if that is the case, why did their personas got downgraded to their original selves like at the start of Persona 5? The emotional growth seized to exist after half a year? Or should we assume the team defeated the true enemy of Persona 5 without Joker achieving maximum bonds with his friends in the previous game? And another thing, are there many people who went through the game without romancing anyone? I mean, the fact of Joker not romancing anyone in the previous game, as presented in this sequel, is ok. That is one of the possible outcomes. But, for me personally, at least, the lack of an option to transfer the relationships with a character from the previous game to the sequel is a serious drawback and quite the missed opportunity. Because after Persona 3 I just cannot imagine a Persona game without at least a bit of romantic content.
P.S. By the populace and the Internet I meant the in-game ones, not the real-life people.
I mean that happened to P4 too. Clearly after getting rid of Midnight Channel/Metaverse, their Personas reverted back to their normal state.

I mean I don't think it's that bad considering getting those Personas are related to a significant growth in character. Plus it would be pretty crazy to let Joker keep Sataneal and Narukami keep Izanagi No Okami since they would realistically stomp through everything.
