They SHOULD bring it back with the original cast and have Berta replaced by { Australian } actress Julie McGregor as expat Aussie ( Or expat UK 🇬🇧 , IF she can do such accent ) as the maid . Julie McGregor has been on a number of Australian television dramas - But her most famous is on Hey Dad as dim-witted and dipsy secretary Betty . The scriptwriters for Hey Dad probably gave her ALL the good ( funny ) lines although she probably could have come up with them herself .
