The best part about this series with Sheldon is that he doesn't steal the show. The other series seem very focused on the presenter, but here the focus seems laser focused on the restaurants and their owners. Really great work.
He speak so beautifully of his wife. Inspiring story.
"If everyone marches together, we can accomplish incredible things"
What an inspirational and humble chef.
Awesome cinematography and truly beautiful to see such passion in not only telling a story but living.
Kudos to the host as-well for such a pleasing segment!
I must say you are one of the best host's on Eater, you bond so well with the chefs and often also with their family. It makes it amazing to watch, you can really understand where the chefs come from.
It's a very beautiful thing to see, keep it up!
Very true.. I think he's the only host who is a chef, which is likely why he connects better with people on eater videos than the other hosts.
He is the chilliest dude on earth lmao just sitting there eating enjoying the food while listening carefully the chefs
No shade to the other hosts but can Eater just make a playlist of all Sheldon's videos it's clear the people love him
I love how respectful Sheldon is to this awesome chef!
I attended a Oaxacan festival in LA this past weekend, the mole and tlayudas were muy deliciosa! Viva Oaxaca!
Its refreshing to see stories like this that inspire people and let them know that their story is out there waiting to be written. This dude is a genuine person with a big heart. That is a dying trait in todays selfish world. Im going to this restaurant just because of this video!
I can imagine why his wife in love with him, Hugo Ortega really have superb personality.
Gotta love how humble Hugo is even with all his successes

Two accomplished award winning chefs that are so humble even with their success. They both were dishwaters and are now respected chefs. This is my favorite Eater video so far and braddah Sheldon continues to make da 808 proud. 🤙

Holy shieet I need to visit here! Got damn!

Do you have one in Phoenix ? Tiene uno en phoenix?
brandon granados aq
Great guys, not the usual exaggerated young American way of talking.
I once ate some Cheetoh's at a picnic that were covered in black ants but I didn't look before I grabbed a handful and threw them in my mouth. Very peppery and spicy although I didn't care for the feeling of them crawling around in my mouth.
Community. International good bless
Awsomesauce
The ants look big enough to bite your head off - also I wouldn't mind trying them :-) Honestly everything looks so tasty but I'm in the UK :/
I've been to this restaurant before!!
Beto Valdes how was it? The food looks great
eat listen repeat
Wait, can those ants be farmed? It might be a nice alternative to those baby shrimps that could be farmed on desert land.
sorry but this reminds me of ratatouille HAAHHAHAHAHA
Is that a fuking rock?
No shame I am a dishwasher.
Wife's are equals not torophys.
He looks like the guy from Life of Pi
I take the mole. Hold the insects please.
The chef seems really nice and everything But i will never put ants on a steak.
It actually tastes really good.
I'm sure it does but I can't get past the psychological aspect of it. Just like the way I can't imagine eating brains.
Ants and other insects are a huge food source for a lot of the world. If you get the chance you ought to at least give things a try, otherwise you might go through life missing your favorite food.
Do you eat shellfish? Those are bugs of the sea.
Loi Mac goat brains arent that bad, some lime and salsa rolled up in a tortilla, in mexico they eat about everything even the ants larvae, crazy right
great story, bad host
the host needs to practice better etiquette. "it's like a pizza..."
he actually said "I don't want to say it but"
Dave Harris yeh. i heard it. but if he didnt wanna say it, why did he say it?
coz it's like pizza?
Dave Harris the only time you say 'i dont wanna be rude' or 'i dont wanna say this' is when something sounds negative. you can tell by that whole awkward exchange. he even tried to cover up by making a another statement right away. he didnt have to say it the way he did. hence, needs better etiquette if hes gonna host.
Jason Chiang good one.
Can i watch something food related without the host saying fucking Umami?
If this video is meant for english speakers; then why not subtitle the chef?
If you can't understand what he's saying maybe you should leave the gated community every once in a while.
Because he's speaking English.
with excellent grammar and inflection as well. Truly, how anyone can berate immigrants speaking their own language when they can speak English just as well, I don't know.
Wealthy, successful man who has built an empire from nothing is criticized by someone who likes Buckcherry and a video called "girl buys condoms". Irony is not dead.
Misisipi Mike LOL!!!
Shout out HEB!
