Molé is a blended down purée, like a creamy paste texture consistency, made of grilled roasted chile peppers, which gives it a chocolate appearance, used as a sauce over anything or eaten as is, but taste earthy & delicious! It’s definitely a signature Mexican thing.

@@DavidSriracha definitely similar vibes. The food is about the same, give and taking some items, BUT Hugo's does have more variety on desert. Hugo's has this elegant Spanish atmosphere, something you would take your wife or your in laws or Tim when he comes to Houston next time for a special occasion. XOCHI seems like a place I can go to relax and enjoy any time and not just a special occasion and that's why I want to go.

another great video. Tim Lee looks like a great guy to hang out with! Unfortunately we won't be going to OAXACAN because we don't like cilantro and it looks like they put that in everything! Great story of the owner, a lot like my family. My father also came to this country with nothing. Worked as a bus boy and ended up with 2 successful restaurants. I hope you do a video on Bori. That looks good!

@@DavidSriracha Thanks for the offer but our restaurants are long gone. My father passed away 11 years ago. He came here in the 60's and opened his first restaurant in 1976. Second restaurant in 1983. Sold the restaurants and retired in 1997. This was back in Kansas City. We moved to Houston 6 years go. Have loved this city ever since. Great people, great food!

Hey PimpRacha! It was cool that your friend Tim met up with you again for a Oaxacan buffet! That is our favorite type of Mexican food by far! We go to a place in K-Town in LA that has the most amazing mole! (Guelaguetza). WOW, what a spread this place had with so many choices -- the shrimp ceviche and the seafood rice both looked so good. All the desserts looked great as well. Tim seems like such a sweet guy and so nice of him to sneakily pay for your meal today!! Great video and love you to the moon! 🥰🌛💖

Great video David! Thank you for your honesty. Usually restaurants/buffets like that have a great ambiance and the presentation is always amazing;however, the food is usually not impressive and bland. Those chicharones looked really dry and bland, maybe even stale. They should crunch a lot more and have flavor. The tamale looked dry too. But nonetheless, your review and video is why I’m here so thank you for another amazing review!!! That bill at the end looked like it hurt a little 🥴🥴

The dessert section was 👍👍👍 so even though it was dangerous for me like the tres leches ..I went for it anyway because I was going home afterwards 😆 will definitely be back since I know my wife and kids will love this place.

One of my former staff said it is good. I will have to try it someday! By the way, talking about being dangerous, did you ever get the "free, frozen yogurt" whenever you and your family were in Royal Caribbean? Needless to say, whenever we were on it, I say my seven-day prayer. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Simply is that my wife was about to kill me for eating it (The best thing is that she didn't know that I would go up to the deck and sneak me a few frozen yogurt cones per day). LMAO.....
@@yanglu9555 elotes..they have it alot around us but its super dangerous for me 😆 I don't know if you had this before but I usually get some corns..throw it on the grill..and then I'll eat it w/ some scallion oil ..its so good 😄tbh I don't remember the free frozen yogurt.. if it has the word yogurt on it..I'll definitely stay away from it but thats funny though 😂
