As a one day tourist to Galbraith, your experience with the locals looks just like mine, super friendly helpful and of course good riders! Keen to go back one day shame it's on the other side of the planet!
I totally agree with the features being rare on the east coast so I guess the double black rating is a warning that ppl on the east coast haven’t ridden stuff like that before.
Why would anyone want to go to whistler when these other places exist... looks like a dream but also need to ride the trails a few times with the damn amount of line choices and transfers in place
Should totally try to make it out to Montana. Legacy is the best park in the state so that'd be the priority but Big Sky, Discovery, and Whitefish+Spencer Mountain are all sweet too. Copper City is a pretty fun community bike park and there are great trails around Missoula, Bozeman, and Helena.
Come to montana. Legacy bike park is next level. Remy made a sweet video on it a year ago. I also reccomend Whitefish Mountain, Spencer mtn freeride trails, and Big Sky if you are near bozeman
yo you totally have to come to Montana that kid was right Legacy is brand new and one of the best bike parks i've ever been too, Whitefish and Big Sky also have good trails but legacy is on another level!!
Hey Phil I was wondering if the next time you go to thunder mountain or some time in the future if you could do a video on the zip lines. I think it would be cool to watch the views from the zip lines.
These are some older Fox pads that aren't sold anymore and I don't even remember what they were called. I don't like any of the other pads I've tried since.
Loved the shot of the e-bikers to you getting to a trailhead and putting on your knee pads. I don't hate e-bikers, but I do appreciate us that work for the fun. If you're an e-biker that needs it due to physical ailments, keep it up! I'm super happy you have the option.
I'd personally rather just spend my time riding DH.. If practice makes perfect then I'm not wasting any time at my age spinning up a hill all day. I go to the gym to get fit. If I wanted to ride for fitness I would have bought a rode bike. I don't miss hard pedaling the old girl ONE BIT lol. I got an SL though so it's not a full power. I prefer the bike to handle like my downhill bike but give me some leg power for more laps. I don't hate on anyone except surron riders lol.
shoutout mr storm and the grasshopper trail, thats for the trail condition reports! i am absolutley hitting both these trails tomrorow! you saw mike lol
No as a whole ebikes are fine, but it's a pretty substantial and rapid change to the sport and people have mixed feelings. I think there's some valid concerns about the changes that they present, but i also think there's some blind dislike for no reason. For example some people get upset when i ride an ebike because I'm not earning my turns, but at the same time couldn't care less when i ride a lift serviced bike park where i arguable work less hard to get to the top. As long as you are respectful and follow good etiquette most people won't have an issue, but there will always be some people who are just grumpy.
Love the little local crew sesh!
Totally believed you were going OTB @3:05, lol
That roller totally caught me off guard, i was expecting another tall/short jump haha. 😂

I love Galby. Fav place to ride in the states. I rode an ebike out there last spring and kept slowing down so people wouldn't hear the whine as much 😂
Bro it looks like you’re not going nearly fast enough on those doubles and then you clear them no sweat. Awesome!

@@SkillsWithPhil Haha I almost ran over a family of deer! High traffic area I guess!! haha

So Cal.?
That 1st trail you ride needs to get rebuilt. It’s so bad lol
If you build it, they will learn.

you didnt get over to blue ribbon
Not in this video but i did later that weekend.
Helmet?
Helmet?
@@SkillsWithPhilHelmont?
@@SkillsWithPhil I think because you filmed yourself with your camera presumably mounted on your helmet he thinks you weren't riding with one 😂
I don’t mountain bike but I’ve been watching your videos for years. Do E-bikes ruin the trails? Or what is the hate towards them?

I think it’s great that you “showcase” local kids like this. It’s part of the local scene.
