- A nice fun lap with my Suzuki RGV 250 together with my mate on his Suzuki GSX-R 750 K4 on a sunny tuesday afternoon (Touristenfahrten 30.07.2024) at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The bike suffered a little bit because of the "hot" conditions, so the power output was not very good (2-strokes really don't like warm weather...), but it was funny anyways.
At least the same BTG time like the last time: 8:32 :)
The best 250 ever put onto tarmac, the sound, the smell, pure thrill of having to work it instead of basically twist and go bigger bikes. Heaven
Nsr are better
@@EneliGG Tz250
@@pietervanbreda4360 nsr are better, I have both
Thank you for posting that! My gosh that brings great memories.
I had an RGB250M, I still miss that bike!
, einfach genial !!!!👏🤙😎
One of the greatest bikes ever made. RGV250.
Why I love a 2stroke !!!
It's Awesome!!! I wonder how many laps they could do. Reminded me of past 2 stroke fun I'd had and woke me up to try them again.
I had one back in the nineties, could corner faster, outbrake and stop faster than all the others on fireblades, absolute riot to ride, i miss those bikes
Heavenly noise, loved it!
yep
kawasaki 750 H2 🙂
@@gillespetithuguenin3062 Die hatte ich auch mal.
Had one in the 90, import with close ratio gearbox! Heaven on wheels!!❤
Much respect to you...great riding 👍👍
Great ride, thanks for the upload.
I had a '91 RGV 250 in Lucky Strike colors. I still miss that bike. So much fun to ride.
There is 1 in Kevin's Pepsi in a shop not far from me now. About $13,000.
F'cking great video - thanks for posting!
Great to see and hear, takes me back, but the seat......
Nice set up 👍
One is a pilot... The other has a powerful motorcycle !
Cool lap. I like how you can hear revs increase as you turn it, especially Kesselchen,
damn that's proper ridin
Brilliant well done for keeping that little stroker on the boil.
Love the smell of Castrol 747 😂
Great riding! Definitely one of the best Ring's sound track during a lap🤩 Proper control of this great bike, gotta get one for myself (and come train with you on the Ring🥴)
Great riding, love that 2 stroke
I had a TZR250 same era , so much fun😊
My best mate had one in the late 90’s. Great bike, they were much more rare where I grew up, everyone had an Rgv, or the CBR 250 circa 1999-2000.
2 strokes forever... Gretting from France (Bordeaux).
Freie Strecke, blauer Himmel!!
En mi juventud tuve una... 🚀🚀🚀 ❤
Rider Not bike! Fantasic ! Rgv 250 with Ace pilot.
Thanks for sharing.
such a cool run! even the temp gauge agrees!
It was actually i little bit hot for a 2-stroke engine. The best temperature is something between 50-60°C :) ...
But it was still "ok".
@NBR_SK ohh no doubt! Its was just a clever joke lol. You should run a second temp gauge for the gearbox or a small passive oil cooler (may father raced a tz750 years ago and plumed in a small oil cooler to the gearbox) what fuel / premix ratio are you running?
@@Turd_Runner gearbox is no problem without cooler :)
I don't use premixed fuel. Just Stock oil pump system
Fast like Always...🏁
Wow! very impressive, especially the lean angles. It must get irritating to be fully wound out for such long sections, but the speed into and through the corners must make up for that.
Looked like you slowed down to let him pass so you could pass his again...mint!
Great ride man! I forgot how much confidence these small two strokes gave you back in the days, especially in the corners. This RGV250 is very similar in terms of power and handling comparing to my old RS250 (1995) it seems...
Same engine
Aprilia borrowed it from suzuki
@@Bow-to-the-absurd Yes I know, with some minor tweaks here and there... Mine was different though (eventually), other cylinder heads from VHM for greater/optimized power, bigger carbs and custom made exhaust by a local tuner who raced these bikes, made a load more power comparing to the standard version!! To bad I had an engine seizure (oil starvation/bad oil pump) and sold the bike back in 2009, I am still sorry till this day I did that... Now they are worth +10k in €uros and they are SO MUCH FUN!
Einfach geil!!!
This is what you want !!!
sometimes i forgot, how hard riding the old 2stroke bikes, you cant close the throttle completely for the sake of lubricant in to crankshaft, piston etc, and there is no throttle by wire to smoothing your throttle input, there is no traction control if you mess out power delivery 😂 damn i miss it, but to scared to tried it again
They never told me that on my KH250 in 1976….
@@PhilbyFavourites maybe some bikes have different feature, but as long as i remember, there is many performance oriented 2 stroke use premix oil in fuel tank, even the bike have additional oil pump, but some expert says better have oil already mixed in the fuel tank, and you dont want to decelerate as hard as 4stroke bike can do, the video is show really great throttle control, so hard to do it if you already enjoy the deceleration of 4 stroke
Wrong …….. unless you’re using premix fuel, oil injection stops all of the nonsense you’re talking
We’re talking a 250 here with 62 bhp, tricky in the wet but no real problem in the dry.
All modern strokes, from 68 onwards had positive lubrication so no problems on that front.
Excellent!
RGV 250 in pepsi colours ❤️
There is 1 of those for about $13000 in a shop near me in Tokyo right now.
Klasse !
I ride my '86 MAICO , 112kg. , 61 hp...she's not mine,I am her...❤❤
I had a early 90s model went like stink could keep up with most bike gsxr750 blades etc
Spicy little nugget. 😎
👍👍
Wahnsinn, eine 250er die 200 geht. Geiles Teil

Suzuki must have offered the public,an RGV800 with fuchs engine.
👍👍💯💯🔥🔥
is your mates name marco ? awesome riginf man on this iconic machine !
@@CunningStuntsGoFast thanks. Yes, it's Marco
Brilliant, thanks for posting.
But what is the purpose of the wrist band around the master cylinder? I've always wondered.
Just covers the resivour
thanks.
It is for the case of a leakage, so it would catch the fluid a bit.
👍😄👍💯👍✌🤟👍
Wouldn't of caught me on my tzr250 that went off the clock no probs love the sound of any two stroke 😊
I was there last week, I never want to drive on stock tires again. Real riding and video, what day where you out there?
thanks!
tuesday afternoon (Touristenfahrten 30.07.2024)
I always get nervous watching a two stroke running steady flat out for long periods. I feel like these engines have a limit to how long they will stand for it.
As you can see, it's not really a problem if the engine runs rich enough at higher revs (bigger powerjets) :) ...it is a problem if it runs too lean and (as a result) with too high exhaust gas temperature
🇸🇪👋👋
GSX'rider is a pole.
amazing tbh 💯👍🏴that rgv250 is class ,sure your hiring 130mph ? cornering speed immense ,well done
197,4 km/h says GPS :)
