- Emotional funeral Haka for Mark 'Markyboy' Kahotea. Performed by his family and friends at his burial.
To watch some of these boys struggle with their sadness at points throughout (especially his brother wearing red) just shows how much Markyboy meant to each of them. Powerful, strong men overcome with emotion but still powering through in order to give him the send off he deserved.
As an Aussie with many kiwi friends and who appreciates the great culture and traditions of Maoris, this was one of the most powerful, spine tingling and heartfelt moments I've ever witnessed.

Ok thanks I guess?! That comment is so out of context, I’m struggling to see the relevance to this video??? Was that a half attempt at a Maori phrase? I’m rusty but doesn’t that mean ‘stay tuned for lunch’???? Lol 😂
