Spent a lot of time at @AL's CrossRoads in the late 70's. This music was great to listen and dance to.
thanks for putting this up. i have the original on vinyl. my son took all my albums and digitized on Plex.
So glad to see this on RUclips! Brings back so many great memories and the guys in this band, especially Mr. Wayne Perkins and Mr. Dale Perkins! I loved seeing them play at Trader John's, Al's Crossroads and the Club located across from Brookwood Mall (does anyone remember the name of that place?) back in the day! I will always love 💘 their music 🎶 ❤ ♥

@@CareyGoin Thank you! I could not remember the name. 👍👍💜
I saw them at a beer joint waaay back. They were great. At one point they called the band The Alabama Power Band but changed to Crimson Tide.
I grew up with Bobby Wayne Gregg I just seen Greg the other day I was way to young to get in too see them Ralph king is my brother in law he joined the band in the latter years they were great I went to oz music store an got there album in the middle 70s lol still got it a great southern band just got screwed by management Dale was a great drummer he worked for my dad for years Bobby Dale if y'all see this call Ralph he would love to hear from y'all
We just lost the great Jay Jay Jackson yesterday....a former band member of this group as well as one him and I were part of years later.
RIP Jay Jay 😢
bummer, great musician
"Reckless...." is definitely the better effort of the two LPs... We used to all pile in the car to go hear them at that big club that became "Al's Crossroads".... always great live. The sonic nature of this, and the previous, album, had a west coast sound. I always thought they should have strived for a east coast attitude, or even something completely different... I don't know what, so I'll shut up.. except to say I always liked their music regardless of the sonic character.
You are correct, Scott. Capitol overproduced the first project and the second project had Donald "Duck" Dunn and Steve Cropper producing and more southern. I think they got closer to having success but Capitol just never promoted them when the had Little River Band and The Knack all signed at the same time. Crimson Tide Band was killer live.
Killer band
Unfortunately the LA boys hooked them up with Donald Duck Dunn, who produced. Definite LA bite on the southern rockers I saw in 1976 at Crossroads.
Roebuck was happening back in the day!
@@bogiewood8332 Oh YES! Great clubs and Great music 🎶 👍 Awesome memories 😎!
