I remember these guys from my days at Bama 78-79. This album got radio play-probably on the student run station. And they played local clubs, as I recall. I bought the LP. Really liked it. Still have a copy and enjoy it occasionally.

Played with Bobby for a couple of years when I was a young pup, one of the best guitar players that's ever been! It was a pleasure Bobby!

Yes Alabama Power 1976 in a big club in Birmingham, can’t remember the name. Wayne played on the Stones Black and Blue when they were looking for a lead guitarist. Chris Squire used to come by and sit in. Fucking phenomenal.

Still have my red vinyl copy. I worked in Capitol's Press & Artist Relations dept. I have an interview with Wayne we did in Capitol's Studio C somewhere in my archives. If anyone's interested I may post it on my RUclips channel. ;p

Hey dude, how in the world do you know about Wayne and Dale and these guys? They were playing as Alabama Power when I knew them. They'd play some little joint somewhere in Center Point. But I was like 20 back then. Most folks never even heard this record. On a lark, I came to utoob to see if it was on here, and you load it up yesterday!? How weird.

@Johnny LOL! That is weird! I grew up down the street and hung out at the house for years. Then I became a tech for them. Yep Alabama Power Band was the name but Alabama Power threaten to sue so they went with Crimson Tide and funny Capitol owns the copyright to that title. They played at Holiday Inn, Mouse Trap, Crossroads and Brothers Music Hall. I was a teenager. Good to meet you.

Yeah! The Mouse Trap, that's what it was! That's hilarious.
You're talking about the little house where their mom lived? You knew Brick Pig and all the girls too? Gail and I kinda dated for a while one summer.
So you were their tech, huh? Damn such a small world for sure. I think that Wayne married another girl I knew - Mary Ann. They moved to Nashville, but I lost touch eventually. Cool to run into you here in the cyber world. ;)

+Johnny Nowhere You survived Gail? LOL! Yeah Bobby Montgomery and JT Roberts taught me audio and lighting. Cheers!

+Carey Goin ..lol. Oh, Gail was just a sweet, young girl when I knew her. She was wanting badly to learn to write, and I, in all of my infinite wisdom, was trying to give her a hand in the refinement of her verbiage.
That were good times to be a tech, right? :)

+Johnny Nowhere .."those" were good times... did I say I was helping someone learn to write? :D

There's a story about this in my new book, Jump On The Bus, in the chapter called "The Summer of 1979." www.amazon.com/Jump-Bus-Independent-American-Democracy-ebook/dp/B01B6Z96FW/ref=tmm_kin_title_sr?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

I think that photo you show at 0:29 is actually Hotel. Marc Phillips on keys, Tommy Calton on guitar, Michael Cadenhead hidden behind the drums and George on bass.

I'll take your word for it. Guy in the back (far right) - Bobby? I don't remember him being quite that shiny on top.
