I listen to Enya all the time but I haven’t heard this song. I have cried a lot since my only one child left this earth two months and three weeks ago due to cancer. I can't imagine how difficult it was for you in the aftermath I mean this when I say, I just wish I could take your pain away. Whoever said that ridiculous expression: 'Time heals all wounds,' really got it wrong, what an idiot! The pain doesn't lessen over time, it doesn't get easier... a mere thought or an outside trigger like a song and we are transported back to the tragedy. In time, due to necessity we get better at hiding it. And eventually we find ways to function but a shattered heart can never truly heal and that pain ever goes away. Not in my experience anyway. If it's any comfort, you're not alone in your pain, I'm right here with you, sobbing like a hot mess with my own heart ache and billions of others around the world sadly. And after spending years working with grieving families who lost a child to an unsolved murder, as a grief-healer/conduit/medium, it's that our loves ones are always near us, a thought away. They see and hear us and they definitely watch over us until it is our time for us to cross over. And they will be there to greet us and assist with the transition. Some of the conversations I facilitated between the living and spirit were life changing, humbling, heart-wrenching and so very beautiful. When ever you're really having a hard time, speak to your Mum, she want to be remembered and needed. Ask her to support you and to send you a sign that she's with you. You may not always see or hear it but she's there and she will always be connected to you, a mere heart beat or thought away. Sorry for my ramble. This song is not an easy one for me. I recently lost 2 people I love and I'm having a hard time, hence the sobs. I lost my dad in April to Cancer, he died in my arms. And right after, I received the devastating news that I lost the great love of my life, very suddenly. We were planning on reuniting once things were less complicated. Is life ever uncomplicated?? I played this sound when i first lost my son . It has been like today , although it has been only a year. To see his smile, hold his hand and hear him said "love you mom". He was the breath of me for fifty years. I wish i could know if he is with God and happy. I have had no signs from him that he is OK. Every second of everyday i miss him....

Death is not the end, it's a doorway to eternity. Our bodies are mere vessels but our souls live on forever. And you will see him again, this I am certain. As for me, it was a chapter of pain that needed to come to a close but it still hurt to watch him die, he was not the kindest man and I had hoped for some much needed answers or closure in his final days but he never opened his eyes..though I know he knew I was there. And as for the other, we dated many years ago but we never really let go.... U2 sang our song... Without Or Without You.... that's a long story! But thank you my friend for your kind words. It's comforting to know that there are kind people out there willing to offer some kindest. You take good care and remember, moving forward, healing from your loss doesn't change how much you loved him or how much you miss him. When the love of my life killed her self and left me with our 2 year old son it broke me up. I was only 25. This brings out the tears..even though it was 26 years ago and moved on the best I can. But she left me the most precious gift of our son, who in turn has suffered in his own way with so much anger. I love him with all my heart and hope he can one day deal with that and the damage it caused to her and my whole family. She was very ill and didn’t have long anyway, but what really hurt the most was the fact she thought she was a burden in some way. Nobody’s a burden when you love them so much.

It has been almost 9 weeks since I lost my amazing dad. He passed away on Father's Day. It was very sudden and it took us all by storm. I still expect him to turn up anytime, sometimes I'm in denial and then I remember, it all hits at once and I go back to feeling so lost. I miss him terribly.

If I could see my son alive again, I'd do everything differently. Sometimes I feel short of breath, like a never ending feeling of pure emptiness that is desperately longing to see him, and there's no place here on earth he could be. Then that quickly fades, and im ok. I must find peace trusting that Gods will be done, and there's nothing we can do about that.

RA, I also lost my son. I know what you mean about feeling short of breath. Sometimes the pain and grief and guilt just completely overwhelm me and I feel like I can’t breathe. James has been gone almost four years now and the pain and grief are as strong now as they were in February 2016.

This song has me in tears everytime, it is beautiful and has a special meaning for me, as for many others who have lost a loved one and who long to see them again. I lost my beloved son aged 44 after a tragic mishap, he was my true friend and companion and I miss him more than I can say. My only comfort is that he proved to me and my then 6years old Grandson whom he adored, that he still existed beyond this earthly life we know, by spending about 5 days with me in my room after he'd passed away in hospital and l had believed l would never see him again. Imagine my surprise when l arrived home after bidding him goodbye, only to find him at home waiting for me. I thank him every day, and now know it's very possible l will be with him again. I don't know where he is now, but I trust he still loves me and hopefully will be able to meet me when my earthly time is ended. Every time I hear this I cry for my 39-year-old daughter who I lost in 2006 to a domestic homicide/suicide. I love this song it makes me cry but they say the tears help the grief. My husband held me up for many years up until 2016 when he lost his life to cancer and then on October 16, 2018 my 93-year-old father died on my daughter’s birthday. I'm so so sorry Goldi, my heart just breaks for you. Such a senseless and horrific tragedy. And you were just a baby. I can't imagine how difficult it was for you in the aftermath I mean this when I say, I just wish I could take your pain away. Whoever said that ridiculous expression: 'Time heals all wounds,' really got it wrong, what an idiot! The pain doesn't lessen over time, it doesn't get easier... a mere thought or an outside trigger like a song and we are transported back to the tragedy. In time, due to necessity we get better at hiding it. And eventually we find ways to function but a shattered heart can never truly heal and that pain ever goes away. Not in my experience anyway. If it's any comfort, you're not alone in your pain, I'm right here with you, sobbing like a hot mess with my own heart ache and billions of others around the world sadly.
And after spending years working with grieving families who lost a child to an unsolved murder, as a grief-healer/conduit/medium, it's that our loves ones are always near us, a thought away. They see and hear us and they definitely watch over us until it is our time for us to cross over. And they will be there to greet us and assist with the transition. Some of the conversations I facilitated between the living and spirit were life changing, humbling, heart-wrenching and so very beautiful. When ever you're really having a hard time, speak to your Mum, she want to be remembered and needed. Ask her to support you and to send you a sign that she's with you. You may not always see or hear it but she's there and she will always be connected to you, a mere heart beat or thought away.
Sorry for my ramble. This song is not an easy one for me. I recently lost 2 people I love and I'm having a hard time, hence the sobs. I lost my dad in April to Cancer, he died in my arms. And right after, I received the devastating news that I lost the great love of my life, very suddenly. We were planning on reuniting once things were less complicated. Is life ever uncomplicated?? But his huge, beautiful heart just stopped beating and I'm at a loss for how to handle this one, it's truly unique, I never loved anyone that much. Anyway, sorry for the TMI. @@vonobi Thanks for the sweet comment. It was a hard time, watching the process up close and having him die in my arms. Our relationship was strained so it was good that I was there to assist him with the transition, letting him know it was ok to let go..... ugh! It's never easy no matter what age. I lost the great love of my life in the same week so.... tears will happen and that's ok.

Jehovah is your strength! Am glad that you were at peace with your dad before he passed otherwise you'd feel guilty for a long time. It's important to settle our disputes especially with people that are very important to us no matter what because life is short and one never really knows when something will happen. Life's like a mist, it appears for just a day and then disappears tomorrow. Every moment counts and should be spent in a worthwhile and worthy way. @@vonobi You are wise beyond your years, I'm sure your father is very proud of you and is watching over you, always. He's a mere thought away, whenever you need him. Death is not the end, it's a doorway to eternity. Our bodies are mere vessels but our souls live on forever. And you will see him again, this I am certain. As for me, it was a chapter of pain that needed to come to a close but it still hurt to watch him die, he was not the kindest man and I had hoped for some much needed answers or closure in his final days but he never opened his eyes..though I know he knew I was there. And as for the other, we dated many years ago but we never really let go.... U2 sang our song... Without Or Without You.... that's a long story!

When the love of my life killed her self and left me with our 2 year old son it broke me up. I was only 25. This brings out the tears..even though it was 26 years ago and moved on the best I can. But she left me the most precious gift of our son, who in turn has suffered in his own way with so much anger. I love him with all my heart and hope he can one day deal with that and the damage it caused to her and my whole family. She was very ill and didn’t have long anyway, but what really hurt the most was the fact she thought she was a burden in some way. Nobody’s a burden when you love them so much.

It has been almost 9 weeks since I lost my amazing dad. He passed away on Father's Day. It was very sudden and it took us all by storm. I still expect him to turn up anytime, sometimes I'm in denial and then I remember, it all hits at once and I go back to feeling so lost. I miss him terribly.

If I could see my son alive again, I'd do everything differently. Sometimes I feel short of breath, like a never ending feeling of pure emptiness that is desperately longing to see him, and there's no place here on earth he could be. Then that quickly fades, and im ok. I must find peace trusting that Gods will be done, and there's nothing we can do about that.

RA, I also lost my son. I know what you mean about feeling short of breath. Sometimes the pain and grief and guilt just completely overwhelm me and I feel like I can’t breathe. James has been gone almost four years now and the pain and grief are as strong now as they were in February 2016.

This song has me in tears everytime, it is beautiful and has a special meaning for me, as for many others who have lost a loved one and who long to see them again. I lost my beloved son aged 44 after a tragic mishap, he was my true friend and companion and I miss him more than I can say. My only comfort is that he proved to me and my then 6years old Grandson whom he adored, that he still existed beyond this earthly life we know, by spending about 5 days with me in my room after he'd passed away in hospital and l had believed l would never see him again. I don't know where he is now, but I trust he still loves me and hopefully will be able to meet me when my earthly time is ended. Every time I hear this I cry for my 39-year-old daughter who I lost in 2006 to a domestic homicide/suicide. I love this song it makes me cry but they say the tears help the grief. My husband held me up for many years up until 2016 when he lost his life to cancer and then on October 16, 2018 my 93-year-old father died on my daughter’s birthday. To me it was because he wanted to make sure she was in Heaven to greet him. It sure does hurt and I know it will for the rest of my life❣️
