We can divert a lone asteroid we see at a distance. What do we do with an asteroid field headed for us? Bowling pin them into each other? Asteroid curling.
Blow up a nuke in front of them and hopefully it either slows it down enough so it becomes part of our orbit or repels them away. That probably wouldn't work tho
