My question is why it takes the government entities so damn long to do anything?
Probably it is not the only thing the do.
I'm sure this has nothing to do with the Boeing strike
Flooded with bots already...sad.
Yeah, they're getting a lot more aggressive. My theory is that it's a sort of catfishing scheme, they want RUclipsrs to think that beautiful women love their content and probably lure them into some nonsense.
Bots? They trapped me in a room, a rubber room, a rubber room filled with bots
I definitely would not drink the water deluge system water and I find it really funny that you said you would and then admitted to being an idiot 😂😂
I'll let you know how it tastes
@@TheSpaceRaceYT the water of life
You did a very good job braking down this situation. I also appreciated your humility. It's a very nice trait to see in a RUclipsr, especially when it comes to complicated matters like this one. Your comment section is a cesspool though. lmao
Thank you. It's not that bad... I've seen worse. I like some of you
The President can give 8 hour notice to block off airspace... But SpaceX needs to give a 60 day comment period. They are not doing volume production or selling chemicals, the proactive water testing is overkill. Being concerned about booms when you have the world's noisiest rocket launching is hilarious. This is all 100% unnecessary malarkey.
Lickspittle.
Here is a new idea. Test hardware components on the ground as much as you can. It worked for NASA, ULA, and others. How about being upfront about each flight and what you are doing and not assume you get the green light. SpaceX, specifically Musk, is the only one that has a hard time with regulations.
It’s refreshing to see a more nuanced take on the Starship delays other than FAA and EPA bad. Government isn’t perfect but regulations are often written in blood.
Still they are purposely dragging their feet and it's political...
But that's not the case here is it?
it's delusional to look at these delays and think it's anything other than politics regarding his support of the current administrations opposition.
@@BubbyDurCat No, YOU have a delusional take. Any organisation as big as the FAA or any of the others involved would have individuals who would leak this kind of conspiracy if there was some kind of top-down instruction to delay things. Not to mention the government continues to pay huge sums of money to SpaceX for various projects. Why not cancel these? You'll have exactly no answer to these questions because its a mad conspiracy.
@@BubbyDurCat No you're just a brainwashed simp.
You can’t help but think NASA wouldn’t have got to the moon by 1970 if they’d had to contend with the same amount of red tape that exists today.
well, there's a space race between Russia and US, rules don't apply when it comes to ego
"highest a spacecraft has reached since the Gemini Program". Nice shout-out to Gemini, but Apollo went higher & was more recent. You may have mis-spoke a bit!
No.
I believe the record is heald ny Apollo 13. The accident prevented it from entering a lunar orbit so it flew farther out into a free return earth orbit. Of course, Gemini had some great firsts. First docking with another space craft. First EVA, completely out of the ship, all four limbs. Long duration records, 13 days 8 hours. Polaris Dawn did break Gemini's record of 1,369 km but didn't come close to Apollo 13's 401,056 km from the earth.
I hope theres more ground videos for the upper stage landing on ift 5
Politics, the current regime sicked all of these agencies on SpaceX. Not to mention NASA'S embarrassment
*is concerned about environmental impact. *also cuts down trees and any greenery or life to build on top of with concrete all over the planet. get outa here with that garbage. acting like they care, thats funny. good one guysss
"Primarily concerned with public safety..." That statement should be true but it is not. They are primarily concerned with exercising, maintaining, and increasing the bureaucratic power.
That's quite a statement and you didn't provide any evidence to back it up. Can you? Peoples lives could be at stake. Ask the families of the 600 victims that died while flying on the 737 Max. You don't think the FAA is interested in safety after those two tragedies? Do you thick Elon cares?
The multiple launch license was applied for prior flight 4. At that time It was very uncertain that flight 5 could be the one that would include the catching. It all depended on flight 4 success. Catching is a huge hurdle with potentially large impact the the system, so testing that as early as possible take priority over flying just for fun.
I am endlessly amused with people who think the FAA should have zero oversight over space flight launches or landings but what does the first A in NASA stand for again, I forget?
lol you would drink the starship water? I´m laughing out loud here
Maybe they shouldn't be blowing holes in the ozone layer, and they might have a bit more trust.
I am all in for the complying to the regulations, but someone in the Government should make them more flexible. Maybe to adjust inspection process in a such way to enable inspector to follow design changes more closely and to asses every part of a process on its own initiative? Closer cooperation among parties is obviously necessary..
Just what do these FAA bureaucrats know about rocket design details. Or outer space for that matter? They have little or no expertise of outer space, or the far side of the moon, or something on Mars, etc. Yet, these bureaucrats are busy making more and more Regulations as make work for themselves !!!
You got the colors wrong here. In the blue corner should be the government not SpaceX.
I was going for red, as in red tape... I don't know how boxing works
What an absurd amount of fuss about the the SpaceX rocket, 'with a new profile'.
My god, what is the next step?! That SpaceX has to ask a permit for EVERY new launch?!!😡
Yes, or request permits with the known future mission profiles in advance I would assume, rather than winging it at the last minute.
I'm good with the wait, but that's just a guy who has seen what happens when you let industries run the show. Other industries. Great industries. Friendly industries that in the past promised everything would be clean and safe and etc,...well, not all of them ended up as responsible as they said or thought or wanted to be. Sometimes regulators equate to better way, the safer way, the cheaper way and the way longer goals are met. Like 10 launches a day, 40 launches a day, etc.
Is it time to start strapping seals to boards again?
It worked before!
Someone abolish FAA for space launches. We need new administration in their place specifically for space launches. Russia and China both have this.
Reasonable idea
@@TheSpaceRaceYT 😂😂
Everything about spotlights nowadays😓
those places slightly matter those rules never really apply until a company or someone walks near it or when the agency (have time) decides to actually do something.
Just step aside and stop stopping human to evolve and move forward
It's all B.S. Politics, Elon didn't donate money to harris, just puke democrat politics.
No they are harassing Elon Musk because he has been a vocal critic of the current regime.
Pretty much and the fact that we have a beloaded bureaucracy that lets them do it as well.
We're about to let China beat us to space. Because Elon musk and biden have beef.
You stupid mass produced half wit.
7 seconds....foam...go away.
Starship isn't designed for Mars, obviously. It's designed as a military transport for warzones on Earth.
Hot take
What the heck happened to the channel, it now sounds like AI voice?
it should take a couple weeks at MOST to come to a determination... 60 or more days IS goverment time and thats just trash. we arent getting any younger
It does seem like a very long time. A regulatory agency dedicated to space flight would probably have more capacity to move at a faster pace, I image that FAA and EPA resources get spread pretty thin.
@@TheSpaceRaceYT thats a great idea. separate angecy that follows the faa and epa but dedicated to everything space flight related
When you will took about Polaris down man ?
Because seagulls nesting in my county are more important than making homo sapiens multi-planetary. Make it make sense. The issue here is ORANGE MAN BAD.
Environmentalists should have no place in disrupting matters impinging on national space security.
Yes, and the problem is Elon 😂😂😂
you guys are amazing
Why can’t Elon just follow the law?
Nothing will be done, any progress ever..! All fraudulent claims. Have you seen NASA lately?
The colors are backwards
We might not actually know how boxing works
@TheSpaceRaceYT I don't either, but the government is blue these days 🤣
Right, right - I forget sometimes you have opposite colours down there. In Canada liberal is red and conservative is blue.
GreatVideo.
Thank You
I'm sorry, I had a laugh when you said that the government institutions care about public safety. They don't, few in the institutions might, but the overall institution couldn't care.
I mean how many thousands of nukes did the government test without any regard to human safety or sympathy of those who got cancer from radiation?
None you illiterate simp.
hi
not a space agency - never a straight answer
The FAA had better stop messing with Musk. If they go too far he’ll move his entire operation to the Caribbean where they’ll be happy to host his operations.
Because Musk is GOD? Can you think for yourself or do you let others do that for you? Emotional and intellectual laziness is not a solution for public safety.
I guess you've not heard of the US's ITAR restrictions then?
I am all for cutting edge tech though the Mars mission is a waste of time if the real goal is colonization but we have regulations for a reason am I am so glad that SpaceX has moved to TX. Nobody can contest the amazing progress SpaceX has made. All about balance, it would be nice to see SpaceX created a system that can clean up the trash in orbit that has accumulated over the years from multiple countries. This would give give SpaceX more leverage with the regulators.
And in the corner of reality...
Starship cant take off from any low gravity body without causing severe damage to over a mile radius around the take off point from blast and debris damage.
+
SpaceX has not actually achieved anything significant in space exploration.
_The more you know!_
I've been playing around with an idea for a video about how actually launching 1,000 Starships to Mars would basically kill every living thing, but I feel like that might be a bit controversial. Also I don't know anything about animals.
"SpaceX has not actually achieved anything significant in space exploration."
What an idiotic take.
@@matthewrussell3935 Their ONLY achievement is reusable rockets... and even then they are not the only ones... everything else has been done for decades... NASA and ESA have achieved far more... like actually landing on things other than Earth...
@@TheSpaceRaceYT Do you wait until after?
first people to make rockets reliably reusable, they made the most powerfull rocket ever built and they have flown it 4 times in the time it takes nasa to build a single rocket, they have launched a shitload of sattelites, they are also the first company to ever do a commercial spacewalk, you good sir is wrong but you wont admit that because stupid people never know they're stupid
