@@bustingyewls154 for Cali it is big! Around here though, a big lot means an acre or more. It’s common for people to have 10 or 20 acres.

That garden is perfect for someone wanting to do a edible garden food forest planting fruit trees and other edible plants. The wood mulch will feed the soil underneath them. And I would put a fire pit and sitting area in the part with the gravel.

Wow! And now you can start planting borders, put climbers like Clematis or even apple and pears on trellis at the wall, plan an orchard, raised beds with herbs and flowers ...

Mulch loses it color after 2 years.... you'll have to keep replacing our pour new mulch on top of the old mulch

This is a much better choice than sod. No watering & mowing needed!

Every cat within a half a mile will be using the mulch as a cat litter box
And cant have that junk if you want to have a dog what a horrible mess that is going to be in less than 2 years

Unless you have dogs... And you can't walk barefoot without possible splinters

I buy 2-3 pairs of plastic garden shoes and leave them by the back door. Easy to walk around and then leave the dirt or leaves outside. You can hose them off or wash them in a bucket. Sometimes I even throw them in the machine on cold.

Most people want and need grass for children and pets. Mulch and rock was not a good idea. You should have prepped for grass. Told buyers you would sod when rain allows.
