We lived on the Upper West Side for years and loved walking through Times Square whenever we'd go to shows. The energy and awe from the tourists is contagious. It's nice to just feed off that enthusiasm. We still make it a point to visit Times Square when we go back to the City. And also to get Los Tacos No. 1. 🤤

@@love_nyc_ The key is to walk in the street. The tourists all stick to the sidewalks and pedestrian areas. That way you can still keep a normal "New Yorker" pace. 😂

Levain and Serendipity 3 are 2 of the reasons that I want to visit NY. You covered a lot of the city though. There is a youtuber who mentioned one place that sells bagels with vegan cream cheese. I'm not vegan but my body decided it no longer likes dairy (which sucks because for years I've heard how good the yogurt is in Paris and that it comes in little glass jars. Yogurt used to be my jam). So I would like to visit that bagel place in NY as well.
As a baker from Europe iwas so excited to try magnolia bakery. But i was so disappointed. It is totally overrated

To be fair ... before the covid ... New York food was better ... a little bit cheaper... I even changed all the places I go to
😊I live in NJ and never go to NYC because of the high prices for everything with no where to park. When we travel we hit the beach or go places that we can walk everywhere too. Hawaii - walked to the zoo, aquarium, restaurants, beach, etc. all from our hotel in minutes!

Now that you are a bakery owner and it has grown pretty big, I don’t think it’s cool to put other bakeries down. You had a lot of negative things to say about Magnolia Cupcakes. I am sure you wouldn’t have liked it if it was vice versa. Like for instance, if the owner came to your bakery and was like “Oh Brooki was such a let down, I don’t think I will go there again.”
