I will never give up my crossbody everyday bag! When I go out in the evening or a more formal occasion I will always use a structured bag or clutch. But for errands, shopping and general running around, I want my hands free! I can’t tell you how many times when shopping and going through racks, I have set my purse down because my arm got tired, or I was holding clothes, and then left it on the floor and walked away! Also, I don’t want to leave my purse in a cart. It only takes a second to look away and it’s gone!
Agreed, especially since we all know how useless or non-existent pockets are in women's clothing! Fwiw, I also had a physio tell me cross-body are the best bags for your neck/back/shoulder-health as they distribute the weight over your body better than shoulder bags or totes.
I watch a lot of street style fashion videos from European cities, Milan in particular. 99% of the women keep their hands free for shopping for fabulous clothes by wearing crossbody bags. I will never give them up.
Every bag I have is crossbody. I don't care about whether or not it is in style. It is my style, and I love having my hands free when I am shopping, (also, a policeman friend said it was the safest handbag to use.. He said every person carrying a handbag should use crossbody.)
You’ve become one of my favorites to watch regarding these types of videos. You don’t come across in a way that could make others feel bad, like they have to do this or get that. I just love your approach to fashion. Never stop, you’re the best!💜
I'm happy to see oversized making an exit, as a petite hourglass was never my thing but really didn't admire it on others either. I love my cross body bag I have and all shades of green, so they are not leaving my wardrobe. My adult son just entered the room briefly commenting, "Who cares what a stranger thinks of your clothes, Mum? " I agree 😄. Thank you Anna. I hope you're feeling better soon. 💚 from Australia 🇦🇺
To each there own, it sounds like you never wore it anyway, but on the runways of New York everything she's saying that's going out here is still in style 😉
I really enjoy your kind and open minded approach to fashion. You’re not out here policing what women wear, giving us rules etc. I really love that about you - your kindness.
I'm thrilled to see the jumbo oversized styles go out. Can't have been good for the retailers as I never saw anyone wearing them in real life and the discount racks seem to be filled with giant separates. I"m not a massive fan of "regular" oversized either as I'm just too short to pull it off, ditto the gigantic details, huge shoes etc. They're great on the folks who suit them, but they don't work for me. I would love it if retailers didn't go SO all in on the trend silhouette of the minute to the point where there are literally no other options for a season or two.
In the 80s/early 90s, I remember a trend of wearing black stirrup pants with a waist length very fitted tailored (usually hounds tooth) blazer that made one look like they had just came in from riding a horse in the Hamptons. And of course you needed to wear black leather riding boots to give the outfit that town and country sophistication. It was a very Ralph Lauren-ish look. I could not help but to reflect back on that fashion trend when you mentioned stirrups. I loved your video. Great recommendations!
I don’t think any color really “goes out of style”, and they shouldn’t. Color is a matter of personal coloring and preference. Some colors are always “trending” more than others, mostly so that fast-fashion brands can limit the number of colors they produce to black and one trend color. These trend colors are very intentional choices by the fashion industry, not by what people want or are actually wearing. I try to take advantage of these by buying my best versions of the trend color each season, if it suits my palette, for example, I’ll look for pale aqua and light to medium blues that suit me this spring. I will keep wearing all of my green items. I didn’t buy the warm tones like golden beige, orange and yellow when they were in, but did when taupe came back, that’s “my beige”. Thanks Anna, I love your videos.
Great video Anna! As a petite woman, so glad that oversized is gone (I didn’t partake in that trend!). Won’t be trying the last trend you showed either. Thanks so much!❤❤❤
I’m so glad that the knee length pencil skirt is back! I am not in need and have a very difficult time wearing any skirt that comes above the knee. They never went out of style for me and I’m glad the rest of the world is feeling it!
Stirrup leggings are at their absolute best when worn with boots. I am super glad to see puffy sleeves going away! And yea! for pencil skirts -- Great video!
You just gave one of the best comments I’ve ever heard. If you feel good in some thing, you are going to look fabulous. That is so unbelievably true. That’s when you are wearing the clothes, they are not wearing you!
I am so petite, cannot partake of a bunch of trending fashions!! You just know what works!! I also will continue with crossbody bags, and always will!, especially when I travel or shop. Thanks for your great advice!!😊
Pencil skirts are amazing. I’ll never give them up. They look awesome on me. I’ll never wear the mini anything. The cross the body bag is my go to for a purse. I still like the high-low skirt.
I like a denim mini over tights with boots. I have thinner legs so I think that’s why it works on my size 14 lower half. I’m 60 and wear what I feel good in.
I will stick to the denim skirt, the cross-body and to green (actually I always stick to colors I like no matter what the trend says. I’m so with you on the big logo items giving a tacky vibe. Never was a big fan.
Hi Anna..you are so sweet the way you don’t piss anyone off if they still want to wear an out of style trend. I would not give up green for sure. I watched on utube Ralph Lauren’s style show for 2023. His clothes were so beautiful and not crazy or ugly. Hope your cold gets better soon. Thanks for your hard work..know you ate busy with that cute toddle you showed us. ❤❤❤
Just found you today and I LOVE your recap on the upcoming trends especially since you are NOT telling anyone to get rid of anything they own if they love them (crossbody bags!) - you are just informing us (precisely what I want) of what's going to be the new trends. I may not like all of the upcoming trends so I will pick what I like and feel comfortable in and add that to what I currently like whether trendy or not. And, this is EXACTLY what you preach- you do you! Thank you!! I can't wait to see more videos from you!!
There really is a big divide between what is in style on the runways and what we wear here in south Alabama. Everyday life has become so casual, I rarely, if ever, wear a dress. It’s jeans with a cute shirt and cute shoes or boots around here. I miss the days when we “dressed” a little more. This video was great fun and I hope you are feeling a lot better.
Yep here in the Midwest only a very small portion are fashionable. Where can I found out what is in style for everyday people- not just fashionable big city?
Love shopping in the men's suit department at the local Goodwill, and found some amazing jackets there -- slightly oversize, but not big enough for two of me to fit inside. I also love that I can find actual WOOL men's jackets at the Goodwill. I'm going to be wearing that trend longer than the trend stays a trend. That's going to be "my style" for a good while. The rest -- never did care for logos, or uneven hems, or short skirts, or naked body tee-shirts, or heaven forbid, the stirrup pants. I did try that one originally, and nope, not this time around. As for green: I just bought a pair of round black sunglasses with sage green lenses, a la Jennifer Aniston, from Zenni. They'll look great with my black wool oversized double-breasted camel hair wool blazer and jeans.
I love shopping Goodwill and thrifts period! I think I have a knack because I always get compliments on my thrift finds. I’m pretty eclectic so friends aren’t surprised when I wear something vintage, or a little ‘out there’. I like eBay for unique items too. My mom used to call Goodwill the GW Boutique. 😂
Keeping all my crossbody leather bags. Very handy, and I like the look. Also useful for safety, keeps it right near me & I can have my hands free to shop.
So glad you mentioned the green look. I was just in H&M and was blown away by their spring line. I picked up a really pretty pastel green shirt dress. Green is here to stay in my closet
Nothing is out of style if you love it and look great in it. They say cold shoulders are out... lol... I love them and wear them a lot. The fashion industry does not dictate what I wear.
Because I’m short, I found out that high low hemmed clothing was better for me so I’m keeping them. Also, I love functional purses so I’m also keeping my crossbody bags. Love your video. ❤
Omg the denim maxi skirts with the front slit-I used to love those back in the 2000s. Didn't realize folks were wearing them again. I had them in a midi length as well back in the day, & they always had that pattern where it overlapped a little in the front
Great that the full length skirt/dress is back. Just redone some of my gothic skirts and dresses from size super petit to medium. Personally I do love high low in dresses and skirts, or splits too, so if it is hot outside I will be wearing that. And yes for the small feminine touch, always nice to have that elegant edge of lace or sweet sleeve.
Since Wednesday premiered, I want to go back to my high school goth trend. 😅 Gothic elegance has a feminine but also sexual energy to it. It's not always about wearing black, but it's such a contrast to spring. Anyone else feel goth core is sneaking back in?
Get better soon…I love these types of videos, nice to know I’ll be out of style this season: I’ll continue wearing my denim mini skirts come spring and summer. As for crossbody bag, that’s how I always wear all my bags for safety’s sake.
I don’t think a denim mini is every “out of style” like I said, I don’t think they will be as big as in previous years tho! (I’ll still be wearing all of mine for sure) ❤️❤️
I don’t need a massive purse anymore, though I still have a few, so I’ll keep using my cross body ones. But I probably won’t be wearing stirrup pants. I didn’t like them the last few times they were in style, even though I wore them. I enjoy looking at new trends but have decided I really don’t need to buy them unless it’s to replace something I’ve worn out.
I prefer cross body bags over anything else. I have found some very nice ones at thrift stores. I like larger bags with good, sturdy straps. I rarely use a purse anymore as I find my crossbody bags are so much more convenient and hold a lot more.
I just came across your channel. You are a breath of fresh air, so relatable and upbeat. About what you said, I’ll never give up my crossbody bags and I’m keeping my green in my wardrobe. Looking forward to more of your insights. 😊
Love this video. Hey, what about poofy net skirts. I have some I have never worn. During pandemic I got fascinated by certain looks but had nowhere to go.
So much of these trends end up in thrift stores, new sometimes or new condition. If you are looking for something going out of style but you still like it, try thrifting. It's such an inexpensive way to try new trends and if you decide it's not for you then because it was so cheap just gift it back to the thrift store.
I remember I had this sweet long dark denim skirt in the 90s and totally regret parting ways with it now. And I will never get sick of neon green, for some weird reason this colour looks great on me 😂I would love the Prada triangle bag in that colour. A girl can dream. Btw keep bringing the humour, I love your fashion content of course but I also think you’re so funny and witty and so much fun to watch. ✌️
I just bought a blakc cross body bag by kate spade, super simple. (the really cute Harlow bag. It's on sale right now for $90, really great deal. and no i don't own any kate spade stocks.) bought it for the versatility, the bag for when I want a bag that will go with anything and everything and will stick with me and my wallet and phone. So there. 😉
You never disappoint, another fun video, hope you get over the cold quickly! My 1989 wedding dress was high-low, and I sewed up a few stirrup pants (not leggings) in that same timeframe. I still have the pattern ;) Sad that cross body and small bags are fading. As for the replacement with huge bags, there is no way I am going to carry one. Dang, the leather alone would be too heavy on my shoulder.
First, you may not feel well, but you look spectacular. That soft green is very flattering for you. Second, yeah. High school sucked. It's okay to admit it! Thanks as always.
Thankfully, I missed the "super-oversized" trend. Those examples look horrible. But what do I know... I just learned that some of the clothes I've been wearing since the mid-90s and early 2000s are now "back" in style. 🤔
Am so glad the huge over big puff sleeves and jarring hugely different high low are going out (because they didn't look good on me)... Saw so many dresses in pretty prints, but had these elements, so had to opt out for those pieces
I also will only carry a crossbody bag. It’s small, just big enough for what I need. I just don’t think I could ever walk around for hours with my arm pointed up just to carry a large purse. My arm would get tired! Lol
I’m so glad filming makes you happy!! That is excellent for your immune system, so hopefully helping you recover from your cold🤧 Hope you feel better soon!
I love my denim mini skirt…will never give it up! As far as denim maxi skirts go I find them too restrictive. As far as stirrup leggings, just Nope, they always pulled down and I was always pulling them up. The micro miniskirt is totally impractical! I love pencil skirts, I have several.
Never wore logos. I always thought it was tacky. When I was younger I worked in a department store and everyone who bought designer with logos were pretencious . The people who bought the subtle designer items were always more down to earth .
Videos like this help me understand just what is happening and how to put things together when I go into a store. If I see things I’m not used to, I can get overwhelmed and not know what I like. So thanks!
Thank you for the video. I’m planning on continuing wearing my Kelly green and blue dresses 😊. But I’ll not participate on the 90’s pants or the latest trend with the body printed on dresses 😅 I’m enjoying your videos 😊
Yea i wear what I want, what I feel I look and feel good in, and u mentioned people who look at others thinking “ omg I can’t believe she is wearing that, it’s so out of style” girl that’s you! You may not say it out loud, but I know you want to. Ladies, where what you look and feel beautiful in, the stores will sell what’s in style and we naturally will change with the times. We know what’s up!
There are 2 items for me that will never go away.. 1) X body bags - soo good for shopping or holidays.. 2) Green - as an Irish redhead aka rua..Green & purple will always be in my wardrobe..I love blues as well esp Navy & turquoise..
Greens have always looked good on me, so I have collected many prices in my wardrobe. Those are some beautiful blues...would add a few pieces if a shade looks good
Crossbody bags will never go out of fashion....Especially as the increase in theft of handbags in recent times...the only safe place for a handbag to be is attached to your shoulder and in front of you..I have noticed them feature in the latest fall and winter RTW collections for 2023/2024 feature them ...they do not have to be touristy they can be most stylish...wear my Prada one shopping and my Chanel one for more dressy outings. I love them and have quite a few...hands free is key.❤
Just wanna pop in to say I love your videos & your top! I'm with you: green is here to stay. Or we can be even more daring and pair green with that vivid blue!
Wouldn't you know it! Just as I'm getting on the crossbody bandwagon and have purchased several, second hand, now they're considered frumpy. I guess I'm always a day late and a dollar short. BUT, they are super convenient and actually much less easy to snatch!
You were right! The Lululemon short outfit you featured recently terrific! ! Finally ordered the bird belt! Can't wait for it to arrive! What shoes do you think you'll pair most with it this spring?
I pair my nude sandals with everything but I love brown with that belt for sure! ❤️ So glad you like the shorts I wear mine every time they are clean! 🤣
I really prefer a small to medium leather shoulder bag to a cross-body. Cross-body bags often have thin straps that dig in uncomfortably at the neck and they’re a nuisance for around-town wear. They’re good for long walks, maybe, where one doesn’t have to take them on and off to remove and put on jackets, etc. Plus, as a petite, I find the straps are always ridiculously long and often can’t be shortened enough; I don’t like a bag banging on my hip with every step, I prefer it nestled at my waist curve (not that I have much of one, but enough). Those really huge bags coming into style would just overwhelm me and I rarely need that much capacity, anyway. I would probably just take a separate tote if doing a lot of shopping, etc., and a small purse. Those goofy trends like jumbo and micro bags just aren’t very practical (huge bags can’t be taken in many places, they’re banned because of shoplifting). Designers and brands just push those weird trends to keep us buying.
That is so true! Crossbodys will forever be functional ❤️
Agreed 💯
I watch a lot of street style fashion videos from European cities, Milan in particular. 99% of the women keep their hands free for shopping for fabulous clothes by wearing crossbody bags. I will never give them up.
Yes! I only wear a crossbody when I hit the flea market. I need my hands free to pick things up.
I travel a lot and find the crossbody bag the most safe and convenient option.
For sure for travel! ❤️❤️
Be a trend setter not a trend follower! Make your own style and show it off! ❤
I agree!
Well said! Totally agree. 👍
Love this
Agree.
Exactly!
I love a crossbody bag. That’s the only type of purse I wear unless I’m carrying a backpack or I’m in a formal gown.
I love my little backpack before they became so trendy.
Ditto! Hands free!
Crosbody bags are my staple, easy, practical, hands free especially when you are traveling..
Every bag I have is crossbody. I don't care about whether or not it is in style. It is my style, and I love having my hands free when I am shopping, (also, a policeman friend said it was the safest handbag to use.. He said every person carrying a handbag should use crossbody.)
I love crossbody bags. I’ll keep using them. I also love green and blue, as well as red. Hope you feel better soon. Love from Australia x
Same here, love my cross-body bags big time - also in Australia… 🧚🏻♀️❤️🐝
Me too, also Australian 😄
You’ve become one of my favorites to watch regarding these types of videos. You don’t come across in a way that could make others feel bad, like they have to do this or get that. I just love your approach to fashion. Never stop, you’re the best!💜

Green will never go away for me! It’s my favorite color and the less people who wear it, makes it more special! 😄
Green is my favorite color too, I will always wear it
In the 80s/early 90s, I remember a trend of wearing black stirrup pants with a waist length very fitted tailored (usually hounds tooth) blazer that made one look like they had just came in from riding a horse in the Hamptons. I always thought of stirrups as a way to neatly tuck our pants into boots. I guess the new trend part of wearing under things visably.
I don’t think any color really “goes out of style”, and they shouldn’t. Color is a matter of personal coloring and preference. I do love the crossbody. It’s so effortless.
Great video Anna! As a petite woman, so glad that oversized is gone (I didn’t partake in that trend!). Won’t be trying the last trend you showed either. Thanks so much!❤❤❤

Love my shoulder bags and crossbody bags. So practical. And, no, I’m not giving up green either!!
Love your delivery .. non judgmental and playful. Thank you! that’s so refreshing regarding this topic. And I learned a lot. Will be subscribing ✅
You just gave one of the best comments I’ve ever heard. If you feel good in some thing, you are going to look fabulous. That is so unbelievably true. That’s when you are wearing the clothes, they are not wearing you!

Pencil skirts are very classic ❤️❤️
I like a denim mini over tights with boots. I have thinner legs so I think that’s why it works on my size 14 lower half. I’m 60 and wear what I feel good in.
High low is a staple for this short gal 🙋♀️ its the only way I don't have to hem everything
I will stick to the denim skirt, the cross-body and to green (actually I always stick to colors I like no matter what the trend says. I’m so with you on the big logo items giving a tacky vibe. Never was a big fan.

Yes found some at the GW too..wool
So glad to see that even a cold can't take away your ability to make me LOL!! Great video!
Lol thank you, Toni! ❤️❤️❤️
Keeping all my crossbody leather bags. Very handy, and I like the look. Also useful for safety, keeps it right near me & I can have my hands free to shop.
Awwwww..feel better Anna. I’ve been under weather over here too. Thanks for the fun video, get your rest now ❤Elle

Us petite folks have our own trends!
@@friend2u777 Yes, we don’t fit the regular-size mold. So hard to find stuff that looks good on our bodies but it is what it is . . . 😉
Thanks for updating trends. Very useful . Love all your recommendations.

Being under 4’11” I just love the high low hem. The full maxi dresses just swallow me up!!

Very informative! I just found my second grade class picture yesterday and I am sporting a crossbody, so at 60, that's too hard to give up! 😁😁😁
Lol I love that! ❤️
So much of these trends end up in thrift stores, new sometimes or new condition. If you are looking for something going out of style but you still like it, try thrifting. It's such an inexpensive way to try new trends and if you decide it's not for you then because it was so cheap just gift it back to the thrift store.
Really love the denim maxi for chilly Seattle spring days, still looks fresh and casual but still comfortable
So there. 😉
The stirrup with the heel looks so chic
You never disappoint, another fun video, hope you get over the cold quickly! My 1989 wedding dress was high-low, and I sewed up a few stirrup pants (not leggings) in that same timeframe. I still have the pattern ;) Sad that cross body and small bags are fading. As for the replacement with huge bags, there is no way I am going to carry one. Dang, the leather alone would be too heavy on my shoulder.
I had two pairs of stirrup pants in 1986/1987. 😏
First, you may not feel well, but you look spectacular. That soft green is very flattering for you. Second, yeah. High school sucked. It's okay to admit it! Thanks as always.
Yes it did! Let me never do that again! 🤣
I love my cross body bags and it’s a yes for maxi skirts always loved them
I loved stirrup pants and long jean skirts and am looking forward to them again.
🙌🙌🙌
So fun. Thanks and hope you're feeling better
The high-low was a trend also in the early 90's. My wedding dress was a high-low and i loved it.
Thankfully, I missed the "super-oversized" trend. Those examples look horrible. But what do I know... I just learned that some of the clothes I've been wearing since the mid-90s and early 2000s are now "back" in style. 🤔
The crossbody bag is a now a classic staple. It’s what I omen deserve. Especially when we don’t always get to have real pockets.
Am so glad the huge over big puff sleeves and jarring hugely different high low are going out (because they didn't look good on me)... Saw so many dresses in pretty prints, but had these elements, so had to opt out for those pieces
I’m new to your videos, but the five seconds of learning about Anna are what made me subscribe. Realness for the win!
I also will only carry a crossbody bag. It’s small, just big enough for what I need. I just don’t think I could ever walk around for hours with my arm pointed up just to carry a large purse. My arm would get tired! Lol
A crossbody is essential for my day to day activities. I feel safer and more comfortable.
Great video! I do love all shades of green and will always have it in my wardrobe!!💚
Sounds like the yellow pollen is getting to you too! Florida and it’s weird winter! Driving me nuts this year!
Thank you for share the video even if you don’t feel good! Feel better!!😊
Love all your advice and kind approach and how you keep it real. Feel better:)
Who cares what everyone else is wearing. Wear what makes you feel happy ❤
I’m so glad filming makes you happy!! That is excellent for your immune system, so hopefully helping you recover from your cold🤧 Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you, Angie! 🙌🙌❤️❤️
So thanks!
Love your green button down
Thank you for the video. I’m planning on continuing wearing my Kelly green and blue dresses 😊. But I’ll not participate on the 90’s pants or the latest trend with the body printed on dresses 😅 I’m enjoying your videos 😊
I feel your pain, I have a bad cold too. Feel better !!
Noooo! Get well soon! ❤️❤️
I am excited about long denim skirts again with a new updated cut
The best thing about something not as trendy is that you can buy it second hand!
Yes! 🙌🙌
Great idea. My denin shorter skirt in drawer. My denim pencil midi - out and about!
Feel better! Thanks for all the tips!
I hope you are feeling better! You are my go to fashion advisor. Great video!
Thank you, Marcie! ❤️❤️
Noooo girl they are super functional just not the "it" bag right now. Wear the thing! ❤️❤️
You crack me up!
Love your lipstick color. Would you share what it is? 🙏
Stir up pants/leggings are a HARD no! Hope you feel better soon.
lol a very hard no! 🤣 thank you! ❤️❤️
I really don’t think anyone bought / is buying those super tiny or ridiculously enormous bags! Just too extreme!
Shoulder bags are my favorite style also
Thank you this was a great video. I'm glad to see we're going back to more of a classic luxe style. It is timeless and a good investment.
I live in american suburbia, so no many people care about trends. It means I can keep wearing my slight puffy sleeves 😂
I am never losing the mini denim skirts, I believe they are timeless.
