This movie could've been so much better. It has some good effects and some good ideas, but the biggest problem is that it's so boring. Yeah, a movie where our lead rider literally becomes a bug monster and rips a robot's head off, is actually really dull and uninteresting. Still I can't really say I HATE the movie per say. I just wish there was more to it then just Shin running around all over the place. I kinda wish this movie actually got the follow ups it was supposed to get because I really want to see the suit in action more. But then again, if it didn't fail then that means we wouldn't have gotten ZO or J so thats kind of a monkey's paw there.

As someone who considers this an overall great movie, I definitely understand where you're coming from as the film undoubtedly could use improvements in some areas.
By the way, I wrote a similar joke about the baby in my script about a week ago. Great minds think alike I guess. LOL

I really dig this movie! I love how dark it gets and the fact that it seems like they asked David Cronenberg to do a Kamen Rider property.

I personally like this movie but for a 20th Anniversary film, it could've been much better despite being slightly closer to Ishinomori's original version.
Apparently, during development Ishinomori wanted Shin to be more traditional costumed rider called Gaia.

i do kinda agree as an anniversary movie it could have been better, but as a Tokusatsu movie with horror elements it's pretty damn solid, in my opinion at least, Shin looks incredible the effects in the transformation and for the suit are amazing and the enemy cyborg Goushima is really cool, kinda reminds me of the Tyrant's from resident evil

It's my favourite of this trilogy, j is my least favourite.
