The term "Prana" is directly borrowed from the Sanskrit and Hindi word "prāṇa" (प्राण), which refers to life force, energy and vital principle. That's what it is, here's the wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prana
Prana is a concept dragged over from Anno's other work, Evangelion. It's the "soul". In Evangelion when the soul is taken out, the people become Sunny Delight Orange Juice. Here they become soap sudds
I liked the movie. it has it problems. But overall it was a good 2 hours of entertainment. I love how its very much a love letter to the 1st 14 episodes and the original manga.
I believe the face K was talking to is the brother as Ruriko said he was in a cocoon meaning that he would have had to talk using screens and other technology rather than directly.
I like Shin Kamen Rider overall, but like you guys said there were a lot of weird and sometimes outright bad decisions made in the production and editing of this film. I hope the sequel, should it ever be made, maintains the passion that Anno and the crew had for KR while also ironing out some of the more amateurish elements.
Wait, Robot Keiji's in this movie? Are they setting a movie for that old 70s toku series too? And Prana actually is a thing in religions in India. It's sanskrit. I don't know how I feel about turning Shocker into a AI. At some point, you're changing things so much that it's not really the same thing anymore. But, I could totally see a AI just turning into random "scary things" in order to frighten it's enemies, like a skeleton in a chair or a giant spider or a giant heart. So, I guess it works, more of less. *shrug*
Shouldn't have to read extra media before going to see something. Explain it in the movie, or leave it for the directors cut. Don't just put it in a manga and use that as an explanation as to why things in the movie didn't work.

Soap suds just like the tv show.
We Have Seen Shin ULTRAMAN, GODZILLA, AND KAMEN RIDER AND IF THEY DO A SHIN SUPER SENTAI I'LL BE ALL OVER THAT.
My favorite line was when Hongo met Zero for the first time, and his first words were "Did you f--k my sister?!?"
He probably should have

I DID NOT LIKE the fact that not ONCE, does he say “TOH!!” in any situation, either jumping or doing a finisher, and that bothered the s#it outta me
this movie is so Anno
It was okay.
Are you going to review Japanese Spider-man with the timing of Across the Spiderverse?
Didn't we already do this with the First?
I believe you guys didn’t get the memo about reading the Manga BEFORE watching the movie, it explains the why’s of the movie that seems like gaps..
