I appreciate Mattel making sure the hairless doll didn’t have an ugly seam on her head, really shows they put thought into it and wanted proper representation and actually cared about it.
Lizeth Munguia it’s referring to the seam, similar to the one under her head. When they mold the heads, hair or not, there is a mark left from the molding and they put it on the bottom of her head rather than the top. Usually it’s covered up by the hair or paint so people don’t normally see it on an average doll.

You are totally right, once in a while they’ll come up with a cute fashionista (the vitiligo fashionista comes to mind, and there was this gorgeous dark skinned doll with long hair and a rainbow dress that was getting sold out everywhere) but most are a mess, I feel like they are only worth buying for the diversity, that’s why only the more unique fashionistas are the ones that sell (you know mostly the ones with unique hair textures/colors or skin tones)
Honestly! Diversity shouldn't cost quality and fashion. Like before we had amazing quality and fashions.. but diversity was not it, Nikki was very lightskin to represent diversity, but now Mattel has finally done amazing diversity, they killed quality and fashion...

i am not a huge fan on the pixelated features but some of the dolls are so cute. the sneakers are a must have for me cause they are so detailed and becoming quite popular. i do love the fashion pieces. i do miss it when froggy gave the dolls nicknames and back stories. one fashionista looked almost like xena but if you change her eye color to blue and her eyebrows to black, you got yourself a xena fashionista.

I love that they included a doll with a prosthetic (idk if that’s spelled right) because it helps include children with them or who have parents,family,or friends who have lost a limb and they can feel included in toys
Or even if it’s themselves. Like me, I’m 13, but the doll that Froggy gave a new body looks like me, earns I was rlly excited. So I can’t even imagine how the little kids feel

I'm so happy because I've wanted a doll to look like ethnicity! You don't see a ton of dolls that look Hawaiian that isn't some "Hula" themed doll. Fun fact: Hula I'd very important to our culture, but it has been stereotypical of Polynesian people.

When I was a small child my dolls would their arms and legs turn off by my dog so I would make them prosthetic limbs I made some pretty convincing ones with Band-Aids and Q-tips.

I kinda wish they made a ken doll with makeup. Not for lgbt necessarily, but just for guys who like to wear makeup. Plus, I think he would rock some winged eyeliner. Other than that, I love how Barbie is being more inclusive, especially with that prosthetic leg.

147 is really the star of this set, to me, though I NEED 147, because my Deaf daughter has noticed that our dog only has three legs and is FASCINATED with other kinds of disability right now. I feel like this doll will really make her happy, knowing that she can make stories starring someone that is a little like her in this way! My sister shaves her head, and always wears huge earrings to balance it out. But the seam being put under the chin is BRILLIANT! What a great attention to detail, and a total redesign of their moulding process to maker her perfect!

I kinda wish they made a ken doll with makeup. Not for lgbt necessarily, but just for guys who like to wear makeup. Plus, I think he would rock some winged eyeliner. Other than that, I love how Barbie is being more inclusive, especially with that prosthetic leg.

147 is really the star of this set, to me, though I NEED 147, because my Deaf daughter has noticed that our dog only has three legs and is FASCINATED with other kinds of disability right now. I feel like this doll will really make her happy, knowing that she can make stories starring someone that is a little like her in this way!
My sister shaves her head, and always wears huge earrings to balance it out. But the seam being put under the chin is BRILLIANT! What a great attention to detail, and a total redesign of their moulding process to maker her perfect!
