    I tried the Bosu to Bosu yesterday, without the squat, but it was still an amazing workout. Fun, almost maxed out my heart rate, and was a great metabolic conditioning exercise. Can't wait to try it tomorrow, this time with the squat!

    This is SO helpful! I coach gymnastics and this will help so much with stamina, coordination, strength.. and it's something new and fun for them to do. Some of these things, I've never seen. I have one of those ladder things and couldn't think of how to use it - you guys are great, THANK YOU. Whoever says this is useless is obviously an idiot.

    I coach fencing, which values explosive leg speed. We do drills similar to these, except instead of steps, we hop over lines of masks (which we don't land on, obviously), and for floor lines, we put down weapons. Good ideas here for new drills; thanks for uploading! :-)

    best kind of training ever ;) good for almost anything. explosiveness, endurance, muscle building, and at the same time even stretchening muscles (which can also be the bad thing, cause you can injure your muscle with all the stretching and contracting in once, if making mistakes and not being used to it). but if you start with it carefully and build intensity continiously, its the best thing ever. pretty good compilation of what you can do.

    This type of training uses the oxidative energy system therfore, loss of fat can occurr when partaking in such activities. As for muscle loss...... The speed of contraction within plyometric drills are pretty quick and are great for developing power endurance and plyometrics tend to use of the ATP-CP energy system primarily (depending on how quick the movement is performed), Meaning as an anatomical adaptation, you will more then likely recruit fast twitch muscle fibers.

    If you live near an elementary school, You can do every single foot speed drill in this video. using Hop Skotch, and Kings Court. you can do alot of plyo at an elementary play ground depending what they have. As for the box jumps, you just have to find something thats like it.

  • @highpointranch
    @highpointranch 14 лет назад

    @redzonegayiam Tight hip flexors are easily balanced by a strong ab/core, which is also being worked on in this video. By keeping the core strong enough to counteract the extra pull generated by the hip flexors, you can reduce or stop pelvic tilt. which is the actual reason your glutes can be hampered. and STRETCH

    another thing to add on to my previous workout. set out 6 markers or cones in a straight line 3 mtrs apart. sprint hard to the first cone from starting point and then jog backward to start, do this 3 times over to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th cone. do 3 sets with a 30 sec break between each set. After this do 3 more sets but this time run back and forth without running backward, sprint either direction. to add to this, hit the deck every time you turn. try this and get back to me. Cheers

  • @carnivalwrestler

    Excellent workout and I 'liked" it, but the only plyos are the five seconds when you're jumping between the bosu balls (and still the amortization phase might be a bit slow on that), and I don't see the intervals, but definitely high intensity and definitely quick feet drills. Off the charts fitness, you guys are great.

  • @rmsolympic1

    @BootyBot Very good information, and here is a question: if done with minimal breaks, would a session like the one in the video be good as a cardio workout, too?

  • @BootyBot
    @BootyBot 14 лет назад

    @rmsolympic1 yes interval training is also called circuit training in mma and wrestling. These are almost done exclusively instead of jogging because they are so effective and help the body operate as a unit. In my opinion, (and lot's of other peoples) if you do it right, and you make sure to work the whole body, circuit training is MORE effective than standard cardio. And if you couple it with a HIIT session a few hours later, in a few months your cardio should shoot up. just don't overdue it.

  • @joanroca5033

    I think this kind of training is really good. You train anaerobic cardio, where you have a extremely good after-burn effect. Then, you train coordination, which is really important in all sports, and with that "monkey" moves you say, you are training your muscles to work for every "normal" angle. With a plan, you could focus more in one specific type of move, or sport, but this is a good resistance and coordination training.

    I would call this workout beginning plyometrics, or should i say that its geard more toward coordination. Still a fantastic workout that will build loads of coordination but they are not being nearly explosive enough to bring you to the next level.

    Where can you buy body blade? Seems to be cool tools to work on your core and shoulder. I use a small medicine ball filled in with 8Kgs of water. So when I swing it left and right or up and down I get almost similar effect to my core. But This body blade seems to be much mere effective as we can work on the hand speed as well.

    all those exercises recruit fast twitch fibers, which help in jumping. if you bring down the weight and jack up the reps it will build muscle endurance so you get less tired from constant jumping. I suggest doing high weight low reps one day and high rep low weight the next to condition your legs for explosiveness and endurance on the court. don't workout your legs really, really hard for more than 3 days a week, or the muscle fibers won't have time to recover.
