I was there yesterday! :D About the Temple Of Diana, in fact it is a Roman Temple of Évora that was erected to pay homage to Emperor Augustus, venerated as a god, forming part of what would become the Roman forum. It was modified in the two centuries that followed (II and III AD) and partially destroyed in the 5th century when the barbarian peoples invaded. It's not part of a Colosseum but of a Forum.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

Mmm Banana Cake. I love anything banana flavoured 😊 when you were on the church roof it reminded me of our old church when Dad was church warden. When the Coop across the road burned down, Dad, The Vicar and I were sat on the roof with buckets of water putting out any embers that landed on the roof. The pillars made from bones must be one of a kind. Very Macabre. The city walls are much more impressive than Shrewsbury I have to say 😂

Lovely to see this video, we are going to Portugal and hiring a campervan to travel around. Evora is on the list of places we are discussing visiting! Perfect timing. Which campsite did you stay at and would you recommend it? We're also going to try some of the overnight stays on a vineyard (or 3). Happy travels.
Hi Jamie , we stayed at www.orbitur.pt/pt/destinos/alentejo/orbitur-evora . An 'adequate site' 3/5 with very friendly and helpful staff does the job and gives the option of walking into Evora (25/30 mins). My wife, Isabel, was born in the area of the cathedral and found your video very informative and showed Évora to be a place to visit. You only received 9/10 though because your pronunciation of Évora made her cringe! Hope you enjoy Tomar.
Hi Barrie , apologises to your good lady for mispronouncing the place name . I would like to promise that this will be only Portuguese place name we mispronounce but hand on heart that my not be the case. We have googled the correct way to say it and now we know , every days a school day. We got into all kinds of problems when we moved from Yorkshire to Norfolk, nothing is spelt at all like it sounds there, at least Evora makes sense when it's pointed out 😂 , so thanks for keeping us on the straight and narrow. Even now, after 28 years, I still mis- pronounce many words (probably due to speaking the language with a Yorkshire accent), but I am soon corrected!!! My wife, before retiring, was a Portuguese language school teacher I don't think I will ever get 10/10!! Looking forward to more of your excellent videos. Take care
