The man is a god damn silverback, of course he can fight. Gotta give him credit though, he stepped into a completely different world and made it to the pinnacle. Respect
MMA is definitely not completely different than high level wrestling though. It's actually fairly similar, and that's why Brock was so good, he had a legitimate background in one of the most useful and important aspects of MMA, in addition to being athletic and the perfect size for the heavyweight division (he was bigger than every guy he ever fought, because he always had to cut more weight than even other guys who weighed in near the 265 pound mark).
CM Punk threw his dart with the intention of hitting this bullseye, but instead it flew straight past the board and blinded a little girl in the bleachers; and as if one failure wasn't enough, he then attempted to remove the dart from her eye himself, ripping half her face off in the process. Holy shit, did CM Punk suck.
He should've focus on his striking, he had the biggest hands in UFC history, but as Ronda with her Judo, he was very confident on his Wrestling, wich is great, but mix that up with accurate striking and Lesnar would've dominated the whole division.
His wrestling was soooo good but I feel like he always looked really clumsy and confused trying to defend bjj. But yeah I agree his striking could have been better. Side note Sprague is a big name in wrestling where I'm from.

That isn't how any of that worked back in the day. Also, there is no evidence he ever would have been a good striker. Brock fans be like "imagine! Imagine all the people!"
He gained my respect after taking that beating for Shane Carwin and turned it around with a skillful submission. That’s when he became a fighter in my eyes.
Anyone who saw Brock Lesnar debut in the WWE knew this guy was the real deal. He was absolutely terrifying! Just a monster of a man and an incredible athlete.
Had Brock gotten into MMA maybe 5 years earlier and not had his stomach issues, he could have been a main stay at the HW crown. I think the thing I respect about Brock the most was that he took functionally about every fight, he wasn't really taking newbie fights to pad his win column he went right at Mir right away, Herring might've been his most average fight. He was a large and talented athlete, who worked and trained hard, and who also took steroids. He was also the perfect size, cutting down from around 285 (maybe more) to the 265 pound limit, making him bigger than every opponent he ever fought, and much stronger, as he was never the kind of guy to be carrying around any excess fat. He was in the only division where they allow people of significantly different sizes to fight each other.

He was the perfect size for the heavyweight division, giving him a size advantage over literally everyone he ever fought (he had to cut a lot more weight than any other opponent who was near the 265 pound limit, and he also wasn't carrying around much fat, unlike most other heavyweights who weigh in at or near 265). He definitely took steroids as well, but he was a great athlete none-the-less. He had to work damn hard to get to the elite level that he reached in college wrestling, and he had to work damn hard to maintain that physique, as well as to succeed in the WWE. Furthermore, he worked quite hard to train for MMA, and definitely developed some decent skills in addition to his wrestling skills. He's still one of the best heavyweight champions we've had. Miocic and Ngannou are on another level though. In fact, Ngannou appeared to be a level above Miocic in their last fight, and he's still not as big as Lesnar (Ngannou is "only" about 265). Oh yeah, and much like Ngannou, Lesnar had a great chin (not surprising when his head and jaw are so big!).
Brock's first fight: you can see his speed and power on display, but in the end he was out smarted. Brock's second fight: he learned from his mistakes and was able to gain the win. Brock's career in mma didn't last very long but give him credit for being a legacy fighter. Meaning, he is one of those fighters like Anderson silva who helped advance the game. It took many guys to topple him, but when they finally figured him out, all the other fighters started to train using the same blue print. Which made the whole sport better. Brock is up there too for being responsible for advancing the sport. Before Brock the HW division was basically guys who moved and fought like they were heavyweights. But guys had to figure him out, so everyone turned into beasts. Now HW dudes move like LHW or MW guys used to 10 years ago.
This guy has to be one of the most talented athletes on the planet! NCAA wrestling champion, made his way on to a football field with the Vikings, multi time WWE champion, & a legit UFC heavyweight champion . The level of talent he faced in all sports is insanely impressive & will probably never be done again!
People hating on Brock is a sport itself. Was he the greatest? No, but the man has more guts than the majority. Beat some greats, lost to some greats. Can’t win them all. He always gets my respect, for what it’s worth.
@Vipes Are you supposed to not use your advantages in a fight now or what? He was bigger and stronger than most people and unlike other noted MMA fighters of a similar mould e.g Bob Sapp had solid wrestling to back it up. Everyone carries weapons to deploy in the cage, in Lesnar's case it was the insane physical shape he worked to get himself into and the fact he knew how to utilize it in the most effective way against his opponents - by straight up mauling them.
I think what separates brock from a lot of other WWE guys who tried MMA was that he was already an extremely accomplished NCAA caliber wrestler. Once you have the muscle memory of something like that it is easier to learn stuff like BJJ or boxing. His insane size for sure helped things as well. I think everyone can agree though that he didn't do this for a publicity stunt, he wanted to be heavyweight champion. And he went in there and did it so mad respect to him.
For gods sake Dave Batista was more successful in the sport than lesnar was... lesnar knew zero actual submissions and didn’t know how to counter shit... also he was pretty much fed absolute nobodies who he could just throw to the ground and get on top of and beat the crap out of, the moment he went against someone who actually had defense and who he couldn’t just throw to the mat and get on top of he got absolutely wrecked

He dropped out his back muscles like they were fucking wings from Lucifer. I wonder what she saw, haven't seen him do that before, let alone from the rear. I bet his back is just studded with muscle fiber. Scary for a guy that size. You can see some of it while hes throwing his haymakers.
@@vicariousclouds2340 it sounds...ahh like you really like.. back muscles
@@iJorded Dudes next level human man. Gotta appreciate what is.
@@vicariousclouds2340 lmfao “wings from Lucifer”

No one in that wwe locker room can step to Brock. Truly a living legend !!
Everyone has said this before but if he started fighting right out of college, he probably would have had a long title run
He didn't fight he went to WWE that not fighting its all fake...
@@spectermad9180 The fights are, but the stunts are still real.
@@helpme2401 you said stunts so when you see him get kicked and punched in the WWE..they don't get hurt and.they all look so strong but in a real fight there only human and people still think he unstoppable but he not there not..
@@spectermad9180 they saying if he didn’t go to wwe you dumbass, also brock is much stronger then the normal man and would knock out a lot of people, brocks a freak of nature he naturally powerful.
someone can't comprehend properly.
but for real, Brock was a football player during high school and a wrestler during college. probably the reasons why he's freaking fast for his size and his good ground game.
Fighter and actor but doesn’t know which he is in the moment, love him 😂
Imagine been Mir and been proud of getting Lesnar on the first fight, just to be blooded all over the place in the second.
I couldnt imagine being any heavyweight in the ufc. Only a matter of time before someone gets you lol
Don’t forget he won the first bout by Submission because he failed in making Lesnar taste his own blood 😂
rubber face mir is such a pussy for going for the leg in that first fight. he could tell it was raining hammers and found the easy way out. i get it, he still won fair and its definitely a super legit move. just thought it was hella cheap for this massive mountain of a man twist lesnars ankle after saying he wanted to rip his face skin off. fucking bozo mir
@@plaguedyouth he's also one of if not the only heavyweights to stick and win a fight with a toe hold so it's not really surprising unfortunately
@@plaguedyouth he got his ass handed to him in the rematch
Brock Lesnar is,the greatest of all time UFC or WWE is the best, still till this day
