We live in the Scottish Highlands. I bought us two great E bikes ( petrol and Diesel is getting expensive again up here) from E-Ranger in Lincolnshire. For what we wànt at the price they are great. I think it's 7 gears, 6 power levels, 50 + miles per charge depending what power level you use and they're great. Lockable detachable battery which incorporates rear light and brake light, comfy saddle, panniers etc etc. Just over £1OOO. We're in the Mountainous Highlands and using just the full power setting I still get 30 mile range. Our bikes are the e-Ranger Overlander standard for the Mrs and XL for myself. Superb and lots less money . Now we were told that you can unlock the speed limiter in the UK but it's illegal so ours are locked at 15 mph . Any higher and it's illegal !!! ??? Yes the motor can do great speeds in other countries but not in UK !
Love your channel but this one annoyed me. Please adjust the bicycle saddle height correctly. When sat on the seat the front part of your foot should be touching the ground not the whole foot. Another way is stand next to the bicycle and the seat should be just below waist height.

Not really as RUclips covers the entire world. Not just the UK it’s NOT illegal in every country. The Bike is not really for the road, it’s for off road trails. Where it is fine to ride. Soon no one will be riding on the reads anyway when the 20mph speed limit comes in. We’ll have pedal bikes overtaking us. :0) x
I read somewhere that bikes don’t have to obey the speed limit signs? Not sure about e bikes? As there not suppose to go faster than 15.5 MPH ON uk roads and not supposed to have a throttle fitted that’s makes it illegal!
@@PaulsRoadshowIncorrect, in the UK they are only motor assist restricted to 15.5mph but nothing to stop it being ridden faster. I've ridden mine quite a bit faster but they're usually heavy and it becomes a bit of a brick wall quite quickly.😅 The Road Traffic Act defines speeds limits applicable to motor vehicles and an e bike is not considered a motor vehicle but a pedal assisted bicycle. The issue for the one in this video is that as far as the UK is concerned, it does not conform to the regulations for a road legal ebike, therefore it's an electric motorbike. IF (big if) it were ridden on the road or public land, the prosecution could include: lack of type approval, no motorbike helmet, no MOT, no insurance also possible no L plates, no licence. Industry bosses have quietly been debating the problem for months, but finally settled on a plan last week after a brainstorming session in an Indian restaurant not far from the Munich motor show. Based entirely on the absurd use of the phrase ‘mild hybrid’ to describe 48-volt technology - and the fact that the CEO who came up with the idea, was devouring a lamb Pasanda at the time. So now hybrids and EVs, will be assigned a curry flavour to denote how heavily they use electricity. “Mild hybrids will become Kormas; that one speaks for itself. “Full hybrids will be Biryanis: a tad more spice, but still manageable. Plug-in hybrids? Rogan Joshes, of course. “Then we’ve split battery electric vehicles, would be divided into three groups. Based on range, with sub 150 miles, is a Balti. Then up to 300 miles, is a Tikka Masala. Anything over that, is a fully blown Jalfrezi. “ We’re saving Vindaloo and Madras for the future, in case someone invents something truly mind-blowing like hydrogen combustion or nuclear fusion.” Other denominations will include range-extenders being sold as Bhunas, while rarer stuff like FCEVs will be marketed as Dhansaks. “They seem still a bit stumped on what to call combustion-engined cars,” the chairperson admitted. “There were a few poppadoms and naans left, on the table so we’ll probably shoehorn those in, somehow too.” So the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan “ULEZ” and Congestion Charging Policy, or other UK Cities and Town “LEZ” and “LTN” or Clean Air plus 20 mph zones Policies, or the Government / DoT / OZEV’s Net Zero Policy.
