I live in Hornchurch Essex and need a gasafe engineer to help me with the portfolio if anyone can help please. Starting ACS in May
Pinned this for you mate👊 good luck!
@@advancedboilertraining finding someone to help me with the portfolio will be harder than the course 😅😅😅😵😵😵
There was a company called The Boiler Medic based near Basildon that did do it, not sure if they still do but might be worth a call to them
Starting your ACS? Are you currently doing your MLP? Completed first stage of MLP?
It takes years mate
This bloke knows his stuff ive done this for 25 years and im still learning
Couple of tips…. If I may. On the vaillant job, canoe filter. Once filled, put the boiler into vent mode for 5 mins before firing it. And put heating on first so can circulate any excess air not removed. If you run HW first it could overheat if air trapped and wreck thermal fuse. On the Viessman.. if the isolation valves are prone to leaks, take the pressure off the valves before you isolate them which will help when you isolate them. Put hose on and start draining. Once pressure has dropped then isolate valve. It will help the orings inside the valves, as they won’t be under pressure when you move them. Other than that nice work. You definitely get my vote for best one handed work.
Great vid mate I’ve recently passed my ACS , waiting for my card . Well handy watching vids like this . 👍
Great video, I liked the one with the products of combustion leak, I'm a fan with these type of heat exchanges like engine blocks, the one you see in some worcester and valliant boilers. Yes they are heavy but I've rearlly seen issues like cracks etc.
Great video mate, that job with the main heat exchanger is a massive help, need to change the washer under the sump of the heat exchanger on my own boiler at home and have been putting it off for weeks because I’ve never stripped down this model before. Very helpful video mate 👍🏼
Impressive! You made it look so easy on that ' Main boiler'. Always dread of stripping it down. I would rather strip greenstar junior down than Main Boiler. You're a legend mate
Main boilers as crap
Worcester or valliants
Loving the foot pump aswell!! 😂
Seen couple of your vids just for interest in seeing what people do etc, and impressions are you know what you’re doing, doing your ting, keep it up my g, well done 👏👏
Thank you!💪
Heating geek said in one of his videos.. if you drain the pressure before isolating the valves then they should leak.. they usually leak when shut off under pressure.. that's how I do it now and works 99.9% of the time
Ah thats a game changer! Thanks for that, definitely going to try it going forward
What do you mean? Drain the boiler down and then isolate the boile?
Just don't drain a boiler by the prv as most of the time it will leak
if you see a little bit water in the air valve doesn't mean the vessel is dead.....fill it with air anyways... if you hear "bubbles" while you pumping air in,the vessel is dead for sure.....sometimes small drops of water are "born" inside....because of the air humidity....
Good video on that Vaillant if you press the i button if s53 that’s also a good indication that blocked filter/main hex issue 👍😎
Ah I see, thanks for letting me know!
Great content pal.
Thanks Gary! I appreciate the comment 💪
Thank u enjoy ur video
Great video mate. Can you do one on how to replace a pressure relive valve on potterton combi boiler step by step. Thank you
Perfect 👍
Good stuff
Appreciate the comment Lee👊
Ive learned to leave vaillaint and glow worm isolations alone the brass used is too soft
I've never had issues when using Allen key, all of the stripped valves I've come across are caused by flat head screwdrivers 😂
Is that not going to cause any gas shortages on the appliances ?
Great video mate that vaillant was in awful condition 😂
Tell me about it 😂
great content as always keep up the good work 👌👊
Thanks Mike! Will do💪👊
Another great video pal. Informative and very well explained .. did you get a new extortionately priced burner seal in the kit for the main combi heat exchanger job ?
Yep, it’s crazy how much they charge you just for seals
Hi mate Do you always have to change a prv if it’s discharging due to flat or faulty expansion ? Doesn’t always mean the prv is faulty right. Great video mate
Pretty much unless ur lucky
Not a good idea to run a gas cooker of the boiler feed best go back 22 ml feed
😎👍👍🤜
💪
Good job 👏
Thanks Jock!👊
