Who will peel the beans for this Moi Moi?
Technology 🤣
Not me, never eaten Moi Moi with nutmeg will try that. In my family instead of water we use chicken, beef or fish stock whichever was left over. Most of the time we use fish stock since we boil our fish for Moi Moi
I am readily available na 😁
I will pick out the stones 😂
Auntie Flo: "I beleive the spirit has left the beans"
Me:" I beleive the spirit has left my fingers"
This woman honestly you're a full packaged blessing to your husband. Wish myself ur kind of woman❤️ have learnt a lot from you.
May your wish come true. 🙏
She's good, if you know how to cook and see one, you will know. I have watched alot of cooking videos but Flo Chi is different. The day she posted my cultural soup made me love her. The Rivers fisherman soup. She's too good in what she does . I love you Flo. Am also a good cook but i follow you because of other tribes delicacies.
Thank 🙏🏻 You so much.
So you are not married you are here
I'm from Indonesia, my husband is Nigerian I've been following all your video and your step to cook it's always work 😍😍
Anytime you cook Flo , I learn something new. You are truly a gifted chef. Continue to shine my sis 😍🙏🏾
Flo: You are a genius. You explain everything scientifically so that it makes sense. Thank you, my sister for helping people who like to eat nice meals, prepared under most hygienic conditions. Since I started watching you, I have not bought fast food in 3 months. Please try to write a book on all these ideas. God bless you, my sister.
JOA. North Carolina, USA.
That was the first time I thought 👏she explain it so well😍she can be a good Teacher
Soy una guineana que sigue con pasión, gracias a ti ya preparo vários platos de comida nigeriana, me encanta tu cocina. Sigue así de auténtica
Good morning God bless you in Jesus name amen 🙏
Hey! Flo, you make me nostalgic with your cooking and stories of those days. I journey back with taste and memories when I watch your videos. Thank you for being real.
Wow! I have learnt new easy method of peeling beans using mortar and pistol. Yes those days moi moi is usually for Saturday lunch. Looks so yummy. This is the type of moi moi I want to be eating now😋
Correct woman. Thank you, Flo. I am always happy when I watch you simplify cooking different delicious meals.
Hello Florence I just want to appreciate you for all you do I have learnt alots of things from you eg. Using blender for pounded yam, cooking Rice in the oven, and many more you are very creative Keep it up sis.
When there is something is inside it is called "mkpọ" anything that is in it. E.g Mkpọ milk, mkpọ tomato.
When it is empty it is called "Kom-Kom" of anything that was in it. E.g Kom-Kom milk etc.
Yesss! Your Igbo is top notch! 👏👏👏 Thank you.
Flo will not kill me with laughter. When you call someone "isi Kom kom" that means empty head, so I guess it's called that when its empty not when it has content in it. I like my moi moi with just titus fish or boiled egg. These days people do all sorts, I once bought moi moi, lo and behold when I cut it open I saw diced carrots and green peppers in it. My kids rejected it, I had to throw it away. Wow! Nene is so tall!! I totally enjoyed this video, everything on point. Love you sis. ❤
Isi Kom Kom 🤣😂🤣 Empty vessel.
Nne eh, the pimping up of foods has gone nuclear. I would rather steam or stir-fry the veggies and serve on the side than have them inside the Moi Moi.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Peeling beans and folding foil bags was my entire childhood! That, and chopping okra. I now run from moi moi and akara prep by any means necessary. Now with this mortar hack, I may just come back.
Chai ooo! I even forgot about the foil bags. O di egwu! Suffer dey ooo. Umu azi kitaa amaro what they escaped from. Try the mortar and see if you find it easier. ❤
I love moi moi! I rember those days at home when we cook moi moi then we will eat breakfast as lunch or even dinner 😂😂
Happy Belated Birthday to Nnedi! I have tried Moi Moi once. It felt like i was in Anambra in Awka South without leaving my chair... Cooked with so much love and care, if I have to prepare it, I must watch it from you Aunty Aunty, because you have taught me a lot even about culture and even life. Thank you and God Bless You.
Moi Moi is from the Yoruba ethnic group though, nothing to do with Awka South.
@@windsurfer8824 Oya oga... I stand correct o. But either way, I would still love to eat it either way, in fact I honestly don't care who made it first, I just want it done right and done well well.
Who gave Yoruba people Moi Moi 😏 Yorubas always like inserting themselves in everything unnecessarily
@@ikejiabundance2921 hahaha... God bless you. I don't have time to talk negative in something that is supposed to be positive. If you don't like it, then you truly don't have to click the post. Just saying.
I use a Kitchen Aid Blender and it works very well with the same beans you are using. The way you are doing it with the mortar seems to work well too
Learning new things every time i watch your videos🥰, amazing mummy ❤
The Saturday story was like my every Saturday childhood experience. You got it 💯
Looking forward to this recipe sis
Awesome tutorial video. I use a mortar and pestle also. It's so easy to clean that way for me. I am learning so much from this wonderful video. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍.
You are a blessed and great woman ..God bless you ma .. and your daughter is beautiful
Thank you so much Beautiful n you did it so simple n I like it❤️👏👏will try it out 🙈🙈I so love Moi Moi
Amazing, come to think that I am cooking moi moi already, thanks Sis. Flo for carrying us along.
Wow! Invite us when you are done ooo. 😋😋😋
I love peeling my beans with motar while in Nigeria, but I use blender now as you said I agree that motar does a better job, but I don't even bother peeling everything as in 100% after all we eat beans with it's peel or back🤣🤣.
Happy birthday Nnedi, many more years to celebrate. The young shall grow, she has really grown.
😂🤣😂 Yes o, we eat beans porridge with the peels but if I see one peel in moi moi beans eh, e dey do me somehow.
Thank you for the kind wishes.
Hmm Flo, well done. Moi Moi is work, the preparation is tedious for sure. They are my favorite, the beans are tough. It usually takes me 3 days, until someone suggested using the blender to peal. Then I watched a video suggesting not to peal that its fiber, then my mother sent me pealed ones from the UK to the USA. I love the latter, it's much easier and faster- only requires soaking for a few minutes.
Thanks so much. I've learnt something new
Love the water saving technique
First of all, I love your channel. If I close my eyes and listen to you talk, I can hear my aunty voice mannerisms, it's so heart warming. Secondly, how long did it take you to pill beans with the mortar method. I used a food processor and I honestly felt like it was a punishment
Amazing and awesome presentation indeed.
It came out so yummy 😋 the colour is quite inviting. I like the garnishing
Thank you. ❤
Making moi moi from scratch Is a labour of love that I have to psych myself up for several days prior!!
I agree with you that using the blender is not as efficient. I will try the mortar.
Finally, I prefer my moi moi plain but 😋
Labour of love, true that!
Happy birthday baby girl, I hope u will be good in cooking like ur mum
Wow, your baby girl has really grown, she is a big girl now. Happy birthday. 😍😍😍😍
U have made me to cook very well, thanks a lot
Very interesting 👌 👏👏👏👏👏! will definitely try .
Flo. You have made me a perfect wife, my hubby don't eat out anymore , even when am not around he will ask me my/ yours recipe.thank u so much we love u 😘😘
I cooked with you today Anty Flo and I really feel the stress of cooking moi moi. Thanks for sharing. Bye
Yes o, it's very tedious but because I was "chatting with you all", I did not feel the stress. Thank you. ❤
That is so nice,u showed us different methods.u are a typical ibo woman,Dalu so.
Moi moi is hard work 💪infact whenever I'm making moi moi na Oga dey suffer am 🤣 he helps to watching the beans 😄 love the outcome 😘
Ahhh, everybody wey wan enjoy the moi moi must join hand in cooking it ooo. Before I brought this hardwood mortar to obodo oyibo, I and hubby would spend hours peeling it by hand. 😂😂😂
The ever lively aunty flo for real with the real complete detailed moi moi that will grace my kitchen this Christmas hahaha
Will it? Will it? 😂❤
Thanks Aunty flo,am going to prepare my mio mio this way
You are welcome. I would like to know how it goes. ❤
Moi Moi you make at home is always the best 💕💕💕💕💕💕
I am getting a pestle and mortar--been using a whisk and big plastic rectangular bowl and I don't get all the peels off. Thanks for the inspiration. I notice I use a low simmer and in 15 minutes, the beans are done. It's so fast and very very digestible. Well done on this video. I appreciated your opinions about the blender.
best recipe ever
Happy birthday Nene continue to grow in wisdom and knowledge.
Thank you. ❤
I hacked the mortar method as a teenager in Naija. It was a game changer👍😊
You're just enjoying your moi moi and and busy salivating chai🥺
Looks really good
I have never added nutmegs to moimoi but i love trying new recipes. Will give it a shot. Meanwhile, i usually use mortar back in Nigeria but now i use my blender to Peel the skin of the beans.
Can I use iron beans for Moi moi
Akas have you tried yet? Please let me know 😂
Wow yummy!!
Wow😲Nene has grown so big💕 😍
I have never tried moi moi, i think I am missing out. I will put this on my list to try out. Thank you for sharing mum Flo❤
Really? Wow.
You ate a Nigerian and have never tried moimoi? Wow you don miss plenty
Hi sis, I enjoyed watching. Moi. Moi seems hard to cook. Takes patients but I want to try it one day because it seems definitely deliciously. 😋🔥
You and your family are beautiful both inside and out side
Thank you for sharing your African kitchen
Happy Birthday Beautiful Fabulous Wealthy Nnedi! You are blessed and highly favoured! Love you!❤❤
Thank you. ❤
You're funny, when you talked about your village people that might have added more beans to your batter. Thank you for the video flo.
I soaked my beans for few days and blended it with the skin on because I wanted to keep the fiber and it turned out very tasty 😋.
Off course it is more visually appealing without the skin, like white rice vs brown rice in comparison.
My love for this woman is superb
Niceeeeeee thank you for sharinggggggg😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋we are on our way over. You can chef up your ting man sml. Great job
I'm waitinggg!
Thanks Flo, I enjoy watching your video and the life and joy you bring to cooking.
Just to make a small correction. It is call moin moin. I notice many people omit the N at the end.
Well done
Felicidades por tu canal Nigerian Foods ! 👏👏Me encantan tus recetas la comida nigeriana es mi favorita . Podrías hacer un vídeo en Español ?

You're a huge blessing to me, big anty! Started following you aince 19kpiridim and any time i chamge phone, your videos are the first i redownloand ❤️❤️❤️
Peeling the beans is the main work. I prefer to use my hands to peel it like I am washing bitter leaf (Not the tough beans).
You are looking bright and beautiful. Happy birthday to your daughter. Abundant blessings.
Thank you. ❤ Blessings to you too.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing
Delicious am coming to take mine 🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃
Ngwanu!
Happy birthday Nnenebaby. The mortar does a nice job. I just remembered I have cooked moimoi in my freezer (tomorrow breakfast)is now ready😁. I have never added nutmeg in moimoi yeah I have learnt another thing today I can't wait to try it out. Thumbnail is topnotch 👌 lol at village people adding more beans to what u soaked
It tends to firm up when it has cooled down
Thanks Jossy. Nnedi will hear. ❤
Yes, Moi Moi firms up afterwards.
Lovely food 😋 😍 💕

I hated the mortar method as a teenager because I was the one that always had to it. You are right beans seasons easily. Happy birthday dear and yes I have liked the video and I will cook it. LOL
Thank you. ❤❤❤ Are you sure you will cook it? Are you? Are you? 😂
@@FloChinyere 🤣😂
The smile on the thumbnail got me Gbam- kom kom moi moi
Am still watching....
even a thin dinner plate that is heat proof; if it fits in the pan can cover for steam.... These look so delishous you have me craving darling!!!!
Happy birthday to you Nnedi, ada nneya. Wish you more blessings.
Thank you ❤
Very nice recipe 👌👌
Nice one ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing with us
Thank you so much my sister.
Just did awesome
That's my all time favorite Nigerian food. ❤ My father knows how to bargain me with it.
Hi flo can you make a moi recipe with besan flour ? Is also called chickpea. I used the flour for first time few days ago to make soup and realised it taste like bean.
That means I will use brown beans,I don't want the pilling wahala. But for me I prefer my moi moi plain without accessories.... I admire u Flo always cheerfully doing her thing
Birthday Blessings Beautiful!👑💐
Thank you. ❤
Happy Birthday to Nnenne. She has really grown indeed. Madam i also finished my moi moi before watching your video and i smiled when i saw the cups as i am using those ones. Actually i use my hands to peel my beans as i am afraid to break the seeds while using the blender. And yes, i dreaded the Saturday chores with hatred.
We are both in the spirit!
With enough water in the blender, you need not fear. But to be honest if hands work for you, no need to use a blender. Thank you for the kind wishes to Nnedi. ❤
You just gained a new subscriber 😍
The Moi moi came out looking delicious,I will try adding nutmeg next time
Try it and let me know if you like it.
Please ma, the pudding cup you use is it different from the aluminum cup we use in Nigeria? With cover also..
Wonderful 👍👍👍
