Thank you so much you made my life easier today
"first thing you wanna do is make sure that the engine has been running and its a little warm, you can also check it when its uhh, cold" so which one is it? why say "make sure" when you can check it either way. just a little confused.
this is the best explanation for that weird Dip stick it is hard to see . The napkin and the dabbing to see where the oil actually is. Great tip
From what I've seen, all Mini Cooper dipsticks are NOT the same!
The 'stick in my 2010 R57, non-turbo Mini engine, does look like the one shown here, but my buddy's car a 2013 'same engine' has a much different type of dipstick.
However both type of dipsticks are difficult to read.
The first time you check it, there's also oil on the part above the plastic piece. Looks overfilled to me.
The dipstick on my Mini R50 doesn't look like that. It only has one notch in the lower half and a kind of twisted end. Very confusing.
Thanks for the tip.
Thank you
This was very helpful! Thank you! If it aint broke dont fix it!
All mini BMW cars are not in the same place.. Just saying
You're giving people terrible advice. Engine needs to be up to operating temperature, turned off and the left to sit for 5 mins before checking.
