720p is totally unacceptable. I was shocked when you said that. I thought 1080p right off the bat. The finish of the cab and artwork looks great. Can't argue with that. I'd only consider it to rip out the PC and monitor and mod the hell out of it. And it's too expensive for that. The only thing this has over my own build is the lovely art and professional final finish. Everything else bombs.
I think because they made such a big deal of the Zen optimization I expected to feel the solenoids and be able to nudge the table and have it all work in sync. The experience leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very nice looking table and it's reasonably fun but.. Could have been so much better.
It’s a good foundation for the next version but hard to ignore what was hyped & promised... to what got delivered. Still provides great enjoyment to the family which is a plus! Really want to test the ALP next ...hope we get it soon.
@@ToyKade you will like the ALP. It's definitely a step up graphically and you can feel the exciters! The one thing Arcade1Up wins on though is looks. AFM is a stunning cab.
Hmmm plexiglass will scratch. Very poor choice and at that cost not really acceptable. Deadzone on the plunger, it stopping working is concerning too. They needed two buttons on each side for eventual Magna Save if they ever add those games. I’ll wait for a 2.0 with a better coindoor and other improvements. The solendoids aren’t powerful enough. The lag/delay in nudging is terrible. Great that you pointed all this out. Excellent video. Sadly will be waiting on substantial improvements before buying one.
Thanks buddy glad you found the video useful. There’s plenty of areas for improvement but they really need to focus on getting the visual experience right.
Great honest review 👍. All these great pinballs but 1up shouldn't have cheap out on screen and fps. I like dmd and dual speakers but screen and solenoids should have been better.
It's really hard to look at this product and not feel like the corners were cut just a bit too much. I dont think a 24" screen is really an issue (although the use of a huge bezel just to make the cabinet look bigger is a huge miss to my eyes,) but the resolution is, I don't have a lot of extra room in my ManCave, and my home built cab has a 24" screen and looks great, but you need at least 1080p. You spend 99% of the time looking at that playfield, and having it be low res is just a shame.
I had my eye on one of these for a while, but based on comparable specs, reviews, and the ever increasing price point (I can only find it on Amazon and Best Buy for $850-750 respectively) I decided to go with the Atgames Legends Pinball instead. If I had the room and the money I'd love to get both at some point but I can only justify getting one at the moment.
I'm so excited to get mine, I hope it'll be okay to transport in the car on its side because the box won't fit sitting upright (Star Wars arrived yesterday via courier so we put the empty box in the car to see if it would fit). I agree with all of your points, and I'm pretty underwhelmed with the feel of the solenoids, I was expecting a lot more I guess. Still, I'm having loads of fun and that's what counts most.
Yeah seems most of us who’s been following this closely had higher expectations. But i agree with you, its still fun and my kids are enjoying it every day.
Thanks for sharing this review. I've recently learned, from another content creator, you can move the left, and ride side panel mounted solenoids up to the lockdown bar board, and have the left one firing towards the left, and the right one firing towards the right. You should feel a marked improvement in the haptics response. You could also place a thin layer of foam, or rubber on the striker plates of the solenoids, to dampen down the clacking sound. I agree with you, regarding the tiny size of the 24" screen. It's really only a 1/4 scale play field, dropped into a 3/4 scale cabinet, which just looks wrong, and is hard to see, but I'm sure Arcade1up did that to try and "hide" the 720 resolution. LOL Congrats on getting this lovely looking table. I'm still trying to find these, but none are available. Hope it wasn't a limited production run.
I love mine. I do feel the low res look of the tables hurt it. I’ve played V3 at 720p and it look way better. I don’t think it’s running V3. Some modified engine. Looks like a 2D play field that isn’t at a high enough resolution. If you add the effect, they look HD. The Genie on Arabian Nights looks very sharp next to the play field. At the price I don’t think Arcade1up could have done more.
Which is your favourite Bally Williams table? I played AFM and Roadshow a lot as you can see in my video! I hope to see Indiana Jones soon! Special shout out to ArcadeGamer for providing great service and supporting the local community.
Attack From Mars is my all-time favorite! Medieval Madness is good too but I prefer AFM's more open table and more sincere (less jokey?) vibe to it. I'm also a big fan of Tales of the Arabian Nights.
Of the pinballs on this machine, my favorites are TOTAN, AFM and Junkyard. All of these games rock, and hopefully, they will add other Williams/Bally machines such as Addams Family, Twilight Zone, High Speed and Banzai Run.
Great review, and I'm happy to hear from somebody who owns real world pins. Honestly I bought the Marvel A1U pinball purely for aesthetics. I plan to mod it with my PC and play the games at 1080p using the included screen. The screen converter allows contrast/brightness control, so I'm hoping that I can tweak the monitor to get some better colors out of it.
Gameplay experience is average due to the short comings mentioned in the video but as a functional furniture, the chrome really stands out and makes the cab shine.
Great review... I was going to get an AT games but decided on this because of price and the looks on this table. Not to mention the at games logo is placed right where a dmd is supposed to be and no haptic feedback when you bring your own tables. That was a deal breaker for me. By the time most people get their at games machine the hype will be over and arcade 1up will be on to wave 2.
So for limited space and affordability, a mid casual gamer (don't get to many pinball tables), and also know going in I'm buying a Ford, not a Ferrari, it's not that bad? I just want to play some pinball!!!
I don't know if someday we might have displays similar to what we had with 3DS of that size. Especially for Visual Pinball builds, it would be fantastic.
Great review, thank you. Sucks aussies are getting shafted on price as it’s almost twice the US price. Comes to around $775 AU but it’s listed at $1,399 AU locally! I understand there is tax etc but it’s just far too much. You’ve got Americans saying $500 US is too much but if you told them we are paying over $1,000 US they’d probably laugh.
Yeah I feel like the back box is going to rip off one of these days with how hard I move the machine. I just imagine the screws ripping out of the fiber board.
I bought this and enjoyed it for a couple weeks. I discovered the atgames table so sold the Attack from Mars table. Lots of offers from 300 to 475 range. Couldn't get back what I paid for it.
Thats a bummer. Ive been trying to get my hands on the legends pinball so i can a comparison between the two but it’s pretty evident that atgames has this segment under control.

Thanks for a great review. For the realistic Williams tables nudging is essential, so in combination with the lag on the flippers, I'm quite disappointed with this cabinet.
I believe it’s due to the increase in costs for components, MDF, screens & shipping unfortunately, at $850, i’ll reconsider. If you can still find them for $599, get em!
This is a refreshingly honest review. Way too many of the reviews on youtube are people hyping stuff they got sent for free, or trying to convince themselves they made a good purchase. It's great that this raised some legit issues that people should know about.
Thank you for the good and honest review. No one should be surprised the pinballs are average at best, because if we are to be honest, all the A1UP cabs are built to a sub-par standard. But you get what you pay for and A1UP certainly have a fan base and market of people who don't have the time, $ or know how to make a cab themselves. This review is great and certainly confirmed my choice of staying far, far away from these pinball cabs.
The build quality is a huge improvement from their upright cabs. There is no cheap thin kickplate mdf here, so it’s definitely a step in the right direction but will never come close to the commercial grade stuff. They should have given more love to the visual side of things, once(if??) they fix that... its definitely worth considering.
Great review I was specifically looking for info and a demo of the excelerometer in use . I’m new to pinball and purchased the marvel and was really shaking the thing up trying to get that feature to work and thinking that mine might be defective . I see now that it was just something that sounded good on paper but in reality I definitely do not want to move my table around with that much force every time I play
I am experiencing significant flipper lag time and overall strength. The flippers have a significant delayed response and do not seem to have enough power to send balls up the ramps on many occasions. Any advice? Anyone else experiencing this? Please provide your advice. Thank you all!

It’s a piece of crap until you yank out all the crappy A1Up computer boards and put the Intec kit in it. I picked up a used one & installed the kit. Now I have access to over 200 tables with FX, FX3, Pinball M, Zacarria and many others all at 1080p.
Great review. Disappointed again in 1ups inability to put out a good product for more experienced vpin players. Screen resolution is poor and monitor colors are bad, hinscores don’t work, solenoids suck, nudge doesn’t work , bolts don’t fit and table build is substandard. Sad to say that i expected this. And these 1up execs once again don’t play their own machines or would have know all these issues.
You're right. As a real pinball owner/player, flipper lag is very noticeable and disruptive to play. And you are doubly right about Whitewater. It's just unplayable (input lag is horrible and the ball jerkily moves across the playfield). I was underwhelmed overall with this package. It's hard for me to ignore the input lag (on all the tables). As nice as the cabinet looks standing still, I wouldnt recommend this machine, particularly for the $$$ us Aussies have to fork out for this. Here's hoping improvements/mods surface down the track.
Putting zen pinball in a undersized cabinet will never be worth anything lol, for that buy you a console and a monitor and get better results and then you can play other games with that console
The Stern TMNT is super fun! Fast and addictive... but unfortunately my came with a defective part and I just received the replacement last week... review coming soon! :)
I subbed based on this video. Great review. I am personally let down by this product and feel that I may hold off till 1Up revise the offering. The 720p is just unacceptable in 2021. Would like to see the AtGames table become available in Australia and mod that.
Great review, all the information is there for a potential buyer, cabinet looks amazing, but input lag and 720p is a no no. Also it looks as if it is the android version of the games which are inferior to the pinball fx on pc and consoles, such a shame. Their accelerometer nudging is awful, I'll stick to pinball fx on pc for now.
Apparently components, MDF, screens and shipping prices have gone up dramatically across all industries. Whether that’s true or not, $850 is way too much for an Arcade1up pinball.
Let me know if you want to sell it? I know that legends will visually destroy this machine plus it’s a 32 screen for only $100 more as well. But for real they have canceled my preorder twice now and no one can give me a good explanation.
Flipper lag is horrendously huge. Ball actually strobes during play. Sorry I bought it yesterday. AFM plays much better on my Kindle...thought I was upgrading. Not.
Hi ToyKade. Great review! Sorry if you've been asked this before, but how does this compare to the ToyShock pinball? With the fixes in lag on ToyShock and the upcoming 1.3 version and next wave with back screens and adjustable legs, I'm tempted to go with them. Arcade1Up's rollout and communication has really bothered me lately, and it seems common that their build quality has gotten harder with misaligned screws and such. Curious on your thoughts since you now own both plus real pins. Thanks!
Hi ComradeRops, good question! I've already sold my Toyshock as it wasn't getting enough love anymore. I can't comment on the new 1.2 and 1.3 Toyshock PCB as I haven't tested those myself but apparently the lag is very minimal now. After owning both, I'll still go with Arcade1up's offering. They've nailed the aesthetics and the zen experience is better than Farsight. Toyshock really felt like a toy, while this is a step up from that.
jaggy graphics, 720p horrible, pretty sure they are trying to sell this to the mass crowds that don't care. Once you play these games in 1080-4k you can never unsee it, 720p won't cut it
I feel that it's not perfect but well worth the price.
720p is totally unacceptable. I was shocked when you said that. I thought 1080p right off the bat. The finish of the cab and artwork looks great. Can't argue with that. I subbed based on this video. Great review. I am personally let down by this product and feel that I may hold off till 1Up revise the offering. The 720p is just unacceptable in 2021. Would like to see the AtGames table become available in Australia and mod that.
Thanks for the support mate! Glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately I've been told the AtGames Legends Pinball may not be coming to Australia in 2021 :(
Great review, all the information is there for a potential buyer, cabinet looks amazing, but input lag and 720p is a no no.
Also it looks as if it is the android version of the games which are inferior to the pinball fx on pc and consoles, such a shame. Their accelerometer nudging is awful, I'll stick to pinball fx on pc for now.
Anyone know why it just shot up to $850???
Apparently components, MDF, screens and shipping prices have gone up dramatically across all industries. Whether that’s true or not, $850 is way too much for an Arcade1up pinball.
Great review 👍
Let me know if you want to sell it? I know that legends will visually destroy this machine plus it’s a 32 screen for only $100 more as well. But for real they have canceled my preorder twice now and no one can give me a good explanation.
For fun and game variety this is probably a good machine for a family to play with. For a collector or serious player its a waste of momey.
Flipper lag is horrendously huge. Ball actually strobes during play. Sorry I bought it yesterday. AFM plays much better on my Kindle...thought I was upgrading. Not.
UPDATE...This piece of Crap stopped working. Less than 9 mo old. Of course, the warranty is only 90 days.
atgames pinball is just so much better. I already have 125+ pinball games on it, and more to come in the future.
I can't believe this is now $800
Helll nah...freakin rip of consider what atgames legends pinball can offer.
Once you play these games in 1080-4k you can never unsee it, 720p won't cut it
Thanks for the video/review. I will not buy this.
This one sucks there is another one with a tv monitor in it for bk ground and 1000 gotleb tables.
Not like you can buy it anyway lol
Conclusion: It's crap. don't buy.
Its so tiny!!!!!
That’s wat she said
Nice idea, piss poor execution. It's a piece of junk.
