    I moved away from the area while the new Reds stadium was being built. Come back several years later for a visit and I see a crazy but beautiful new building in Covington and the skyscraper with the "birdcage" on top. Very nice additions!

    Cleveland boy here, and I take every opportunity to defend and sell Cleveland to people outside the city. We have alot up here but when you think of a city's downtown Cincinatti is impressive for being so shit on. I worked down there to build stuff for a Red's Fest years ago and sure downtown is pretty empty at night but very alive during the day and very charming overall. Cleveland has it's own unique character too of different areas far away from the center being somehwat impressive like University Circle and W25th... But with Cincinatti being a true downtown major city it sucks both are underrated

    Fantastic!!!!! Thrilling scenes going over the crown of _Carew Tower_ with "Old Glory" flapping intensely in the wind and also the getting in the face of the _Great American Tower_. On another note, I liked a lot the dramatic approach to the Bengals' _Paul Brown Stadium_.

    I love how your at ground level with the stadium as you pass by it on the freeway. So cool. I remember once entering downtown it was a perfect way to start off. Kind of like the perfect entrance. Lol. If I'm not mistaken I think Great American Ballpark as well was visually near and close by. Anyways, Love the city. So gorgeous! Downtown is fabulous. Pretty in sight with all of it's building and architecture.

    Spectacular Aerial footage !! If you had more experience with the gimbal adjustment (smoother pans and tilts), this would be an extra classy video worthy of national exposure ! Nice job !!

    pretty sure thats over the 400 ft legal flying limit, especially since the buildings are well over that high

    Hey! GREAT video...may I please ask...where were you when you were controlling the drone ? I'm thinking on the suspension bridge. I just bought a drone and working on controlling it like you! If you have time, let me know how and where you were...it's awesome! Oh, I grew up in Ludlow, KY. So yea, Cincy is my hometown!

      @smclark21  5 лет назад +2

      Haha, thanks for watching. I’m actually from Atlanta but I had traveled there on business and I brought my drone. I was on the river bank (on the KY side) in front of the big hotel. The drone has great range in a big wide open area like you see here. Good luck and enjoy!

    Nice footage and aerial views! I understand that one stadium was designed for baseball and the other for NFL Football. With that said, imo, Great American Ballpark has more character than Paul Brown Stadium, which seems too symmetrical.

    Hi Steven, I'm doing a Cincinnati Reds franchise for MLB The Show 18 and I do gameplay for it. Would you be willing to allow me use of some of these shots for a team reveal "hype" video? If not, that's ok, I just wanted permission first. Thanks.

    • @smclark21
      @smclark21  6 лет назад +3

      Hi,
      Yes, you sure can. You have my permission. I only want one favor. I would like to see what you put together, I just think it would be cool. If there’s any way to send it to me or send me a link when you are done, I would appreciate it. If it’s too much trouble, then no worries. Good luck with your video and thanks for watching!

    • @GG9
      @GG9 6 лет назад

      I'll definitely send you the link to it when finished! Should be done tonight actually :) The video will be unlisted/private so I can share it without being shown to the public. Thank you so much for allowing me to use some of these shots in your video! Means a lot. I'm very appreciative.

    witch drone are you using ? because i was thinking dji can do only 400ft ? or i'm wrong ?

    • @smclark21
      @smclark21  7 лет назад +2

      This was filmed using my DJI Mavic Pro. Any DJI drone is capable of ascending to 1640 feet. The maximum height you are allowed to fly according to the FAA is 400 feet. This changes when you are flying around structures. You are allowed to fly up 400 ft from any structure because other aircraft should fly at a higher altitude. Download the B4U Fly app and always get control tower permission before flying around any airports or helo pads. Safety is always my primary concern.

      thanks !! i'm starting a youtube channel everything about Cincinnati i would love to fly my phantom 4 by the great america tower !!! but i was concerned about the 400ft

    • @smclark21
      @smclark21  7 лет назад

      Part (101) of the FAA guidelines states:
      Maximum altitude of 400 feet above ground level (AGL) or, if
      higher than 400 feet AGL, remain within 400 feet of a
      structure.

      @@smclark21 Your right Steve! But I think your only right for 107 holders. Which is why I ask if you were a 107 pilot. No big deal though. Good vid man.

    Great footage, but I had to stop watching cuz I'm sick of cities putting their damn stadiums right next to the water. That land should be made available for everyone to enjoy.not just the few who like sports.

      @@smclark21 awesome! One more question if ya don’t mind, do you need any special kind of access to fly in there spots or can anyone do it??

    • @smclark21
      @smclark21  3 года назад +1

      @@CJK32 I don’t have special access of any kind. I am just a regular citizen and I was sitting there on the riverbank while flying. The FAA does have some drone guidelines listed on their website, I would encourage any operator to follow those. Good luck!
