In my senior year of high school, my high school marching band, the Centerville Jazz Band of Centerville, Ohio, got to perform the National Anthem at a Reds game. It was the June 29th, 2018 game against the Milwaukee Brewers, back whenthey had their previous Brewer logo. Unfortunately that was a Reds loss, but it was still a fun time. That was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
That sounds like quite the experience. Too bad the Reds loss, but have you been back to a game since then? I am glad you enjoyed the video and sub if you can.
something about watching a baseball game on the river, while the river boats and barges roll by feels like something out of a mark twain novel. just feels american. love great american for that reason.
@@MDK384 You might be right, but I wish the Reds would build up the Riverfront portion of the ballpark. It is a great view from the ballpark! Thanks for watching.
This is my favorite of the 7 ballparks I've been to. I'm not a Reds fan, but I grew up just north of Dayton, so Great American is where I went to all of my baseball games for 13 years. It sounds crazy, but in my opinion, the Diamond Club at Great American is the best overall value in sports. It's expensive, but the gourmet pregame buffet, in-seat wait service, all you can eat food, all inclusive drinks; alcoholic or otherwise (plus the bar is open for another hour after the game ends), and having the best seat in the house makes it worth it to me for a once every couple years ticket to get.
It is a great ballpark and very affordable compared to some other ones across the country. I'm not sure how much the diamond club is but perhaps it's a nice way to treat yourself from time to time when watching the Reds play. What other ballparks have you been to? I am heading to Wrigley Field next week and I think those tickets are about 50 bucks alone.
@@BallparkHunterit varies, but generally it's around $250. But like I said, if it's a special occasion and you're a fan of baseball it's so worth it. I've done it for my birthday and to see Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina's last game in Cincy, because that is where I saw them in my first MLB game 15 years prior.
That is a good catch! It was an afternoon make-up game, hence the low turn out of people. However, it worked out well for my plans that week. I am glad you enjoyed the review and video. Sub if you can.
You should! The game that I visited had a sparse crowd because it was a make-up date from a rain-out. However, this is a MLB ballpark that won't set your wallet back!
Where was the bobblehead spin located? Getting ready for my 3rd trip to the park at the end of this month, and this SHOULD be the first time I get to explore the stadium. (First two I chaperones a school trip so no relaxation lol). Im.a bobblehead nut so I want to hit that up. Thanks! Great vid!
@@JimKimTheIdeaHunters I am a Mets fan as well! That is an easy trip to do, you have to make sure all the clubs are playing that week. You could even watch an afternoon game in Chicago and drive to Milwaukee for the night cap.
The ONLY MLB ballpark I will ever go to. Go Reds!! Printed paper tickets are still a thing? really? I didn’t know that. I thought everything was digital these days.
Tell me about it! I did not realize how that is rare in this age of digital tickets and smart phones. However, I do see them at the minor league level. I am glad you enjoyed the video and sub if you can.
Where was the spin for the bobble head located? U said about 3 dollars although it costs $10 per spin for a bobble head. 4:32 I love watching the reds play with Elly in town never heard of the bobble head wheel until now thx so much! I would love to try when I go watch them this summer on vacation. Beautiful ballpark to watch in person. Go reds!❤️🤍🖤
I might've miss pronounce that, but towards the end I did say $30 for three spends. It was in front of the Hall of Fame near the rose garden. I am not sure if it's still there this year
@@BallparkHunter the Mets used to have one but they got rid of it. Teams mostly want to use their space for any money making ventures and not an extensive appreciation of their history.
@@BallparkHunter Royals have one? I’m really just aware of the reds cards and yankees having one. The Yankees one isn’t as extensive as the reds, haven’t been to the cards one but seems as extensive as the reds. A lot of teams will just spread stuff around the concourse like the Braves and Red Sox but that’s not the same as having a big extensive museum space
It's definitely one of the best stadiums I've ever seen.
It is also very affordable.

I went to high school with that guy holding his child for their first baseball game. Small world lol…GABP is a great place to watch a game.

It will be a long winter, but baseball will be right around the corner.
I am going there this year on the exact same day you went for this video. First time at GABP,
