Loved the soto makikomi style when I was active in judo; there is usually no resistance from your opponent. Nice video

For those who don’t know yet: Georgian wrestling is called Chidaoba. Some of its elements were also included in Soviet Sambo etc.
Thank you for sharing interesting content!

time to call 'soviet' Sambo just Sambo. You don't call 'Nazi' Volkswagen Nazi, just Volkswagen

      @@ganjagym
Soviet - is just a historical reference to the origin country where Sambo was initially developed. That's it.
And Volkswagen has also an originating country - it is Germany. Nazi is a political regime etc.
No need to be afraid of country names in their *historical* context.
It is the same as we say Japanese Karate (or Okinawan Karate), Chinese Kung-Fu, French Savate etc.

I like that you were honest and say this is not your type of judo but still put respect on it, i have seen judokas talk crap.about the georgian style and belt wrestling style judo in general, like the Japanese haven't been using those teams for ages, i belive if you get hit by an ura nage like technique you should improve your timing ans kuzuchi in general,
    Thanks for your content.

Merci chadi pour tout ton travail mais j'ai une question pourquoi tu ne fais pas du ju-jitsu fighting car dans cette discipline il y'a le judo du kodokan et non le nouveau judo olympique

I didn’t get to go against them, but there were some Georgian guys at the last tournament I went to. They are fierce

У грузин есть национальная борьба чидаоба. Благодаря её сходству с САМБО и дзю - до , им легче адаптироваться в этих видах борьбы.

7:15 - I agree, getting close to the knees for throws always makes me nervous.

6:25 you are talking about how it can be very dangerous. Can you explain how to do it safely and how to avoid injury there? Or is it always big risk move?

    • @Chadi

Leg can get trapped while the body shoots up and it can injure the knee
