I cannot get the top bolt on the starter off because there's 4 or 3 lines in the way that wont let me get the socket seated on the bolt properly and it driving me nuts
I snapped two sockets on those drive shaft bolts? Poor placement from the manufacture? I have huge hands working to get those connections to the starter was the worst? i would have killed myself if the starter was bad? I ended up getting a middle of the road quality 50.00 bucks cheaper than the expensive one and 50.00 more than the cheapest. Still, I'll not want to go through it again!
Note to self, always have a starter or alternator tested at a local auto parts store. Even if you buy on online. Bring it in. Sounds like the starter is spinning but the sprocket isnt engaging the flywheel. Ive had it happened once bad [new] starter.
