My uncle have one of these, and it is working like new again after cleaning the evaporator and condenser. Update: The LG A/C briefly died by the end of august of 2024 and it was replaced by a GE 8000 BTU model AHTK08AA in my Uncle's room, but the good news is that I brought the LG back to life by replacing the capacitor, and it will be eventually placed into another room to replace a 2013 Frigidaire 5000BTU model FRA052XT7 that died in 2019 because it lost all of the refrigerant.
LGs Air Conditioners are well made unlike other brands with which uses styrofoam and even aluminium tubing for the evaporator for a similarily sized unit.
they dont make theser now. the 5 and 6ks from lg all have foam. you have to go for one of the older slider chassis models if you want the baffle to not be just foam.
@@DabblelyDiddly Whats a shame. At least their Dual Inverter models still uses the black plastic. Similarily, GE (owned by Haier) still uses black plastic on their Profile series Inverter windows unit too (not counting the ClearView upside down U-shaped model).
@@KingHarlequin1999 I've been really eyeing the inverter models from I think tcl that friedrich and a couple weird Amazon brands been picking up. Friedrich calls it the chill Premier inverter. Della has the models up to 12k and friedrich has them up to 24k

It was made in 2015, judging by the model number.
