I like this Kenmore 10,000 btu air conditioner and it is quieter on low fan, i also have an LG 8,000 btu air conditioner, and i was about to make my video of it but my dad replaced it, so i don't have it anymore, and i have an LG 8,000 btu portable air conditioner but i it has water in the plug

The design looks like a mini-PTAC.

The issue is it's impossible to get the damn R410 refrigerant they use in these things. You have to be a licensed in order to purchase as you cannot run the R134 you can buy over the counter. Better off grabbing an older unit that uses R134 so it can be recharged.

I know this video is 2 years old but I found it my mom gave me one of these never gave it a second look we are moving I plugged it in it work great it looks like it's never been used thank u this video helped me so much❤

This one is a such downgrade compared to the previous 2016 Goldstar-based design with the control panel on the left and the black plastic divider. I still have a 2013 6000 BTU LG with the "Goldstar" design, which I recently replaced the Capacitor, and it will replace an old cheaply made Frigidaire 5200 BTU, which leaked out all of the refrigerant.

Also, this one turn on the fan and the compressor at the same time, which is very interesting, because LGs typically turn on the fan first, and then the compressor after a short delay.

I believe that Midea is the actual manufacturer, cause they also make most of the microwaves oven as well. I recently saw a bunch of these with that same grille design in a Sam's Club in Orlando, along with a version with Digital Controls.

Someone gave me a small haier ac on trash day they told me it didn’t work but it does the reason it wasn’t get cold was the filter was clogged with dirt I cleaned the filter and it got ice cold i kinda feel bad that someone gave me a working ac that only needed the filter cleaned they thought I was going to scrap it I may try to give them a few bucks for since it works

Very good vid indeed. Just did a deep clean on my sons 240v 30a ac unit and the gfi plug was doing this very thing. Before pulling the (heavy) unit back out, I seen your trouble shooting vid and did what you suggested. We used a hair dryer on warm, and it did the fix. Thank you for the dyi tip. Basically a rebranded Midea AC.

The only rating that only matters when replacing Capacitors is the Capacitance (Microfarads, uF) which should be same value as the original Cap. All of the other ratings doesn't really matter, not even the Voltage as long as it is equal to or greater than the original. A much higher voltage rating in a capacitor may in fact be better for longer durability.

That’s a pretty cool unit, I have a Comfort-Aire as well but it’s from 1978. Mine is a 29,000 BTU and has a Tecumseh AH Reciprocating compressor in it. The modern Comfort-Aire units I would say are pretty fair overall even though they are actually other maker’s units woth the Comfort-Aire Badge slapped on them. This unit in fact is a Re-badged Frigidaire 15,100 BTU but still performs quite well. Great video and I look forward to more.

I just found the LG version of the PlasmAire online. It is model 'LP7000R' for the 7000 BTU variant, and 'LP6000ER' for the 6000 BTU one.

I was hoping you'd show the specs label. I can't believe the cooling watts are only 510.

I got to test my fedders and to say its from 1994 it works awesome it cools like it's brand new every setting on the controls works and the themo works too just need to fix it a little

at my moms high school I have seen 1998 if I had to guess a Hampton bay branded by Fedders with digital contrals and I have never seen a older Hampton bay with digital contrals
