I kept 3 of these in my shed when we bought a new house with central air. They came in very handy when that central air went down multiple times because of a condenser manufacturing flaw.
I have had that model for the last 7 years and have not had any issues out of it. It pulls about 400-450 watts while the compressor is running. I have it in a 10 X 12 room and it can keep it 66 degrees even when 100 degrees outside.
That A/C is actually a LG, very similar to the one from your previous video. Notice the same double beeps and similar panel layout. Very interesting to find one rebranded as a GE.
Such great units. I have the hampton bay, and kenmore versions of this unit. Yes they are rebadged goldstar units. Care to sell this unit? I prefer the looks of this ge unit vs the hampton bay and kenmore. The compressors in these units take some time to buid up head pressure.
2:45 I have very similar unit with mechanical controls that is labeled "Goldstar." Is that the same as LG? Wish I could find working "junk" like you do.

I think goldstar was made by LG, it's like an LG but with thinner coils.
GoldStar is what LG used to be called before 2002. Zenith A/C were also made by Goldstar/LG too.
