Ray Devito is one of the most respected names in the NYC comedy scene for decades. He bought me and my wife April a beer and made us laugh for hours at The Stand last month. A real rising star
I love drybar. Clean comedy is great! I feel like this audience made this man's job a lot harder. He had some good jokes, but the crowd didn't cooperate.
I was 36 at the time and consulting with a new nurse practitioner, about 5 minutes of me talking to her she asks if I ever thought about taking anything for my ADD. I told her I was never diagnosed. She replied “I’ve only been in the same room with you for about 10 minutes and you have all the signs of someone who has ADD.” Wish I would have known about it when I was younger. But being offended got me for like a few seconds, (thanks to my ADD) when she gave me solutions for handling it and a fancy prescription that has changed my life.

I wish a diagnosis was that easy! You got lucky in that regard. I keep putting it off because I don't want to pay money to a psychologist to assess me.

Likely due to the suitcase size amount of prescriptions her quack doctor had given her over the past 20 years. Also, my brother died at 24 overdosing on pain medicine his doctor prescribed him for Crohn’s disease. His doctor never taught him how to treat it, and this was back in ‘03 before Google and ChatGPT, so he could have used the guidance. I’m on one medication, that has changed my life for the better for about a decade. My ADD was so bad that it took me several times to read directions before I could even keep half on my train of thought. It was awful.
Ray you should pick up a pen and craft a joke about a 50yo loser that gets a mba and later try to pull an ssi scam from his one car drunk driving accident and tries to convince everyone he's a comedian
He's got good flow. I like his stuff. The book 30 Days to Stop Giving a Sh*t by Corin Devaso helped me with anxiety haha. It taught me some simple mindfulness exercises to do. I use to be off the walls.
You can tell this Ray duhvito guy suffers from mental illness rumor is he is an incest survivor but now prefers incest, pretty weird stuff but I wish him well

I can’t believe he closes with that c-word bit. It was the least thought out and shoddy joke of the entire thing. He thinks this is his best. Before you call me ‘just a hater’, I’m doing this because this guy REALLY THINKS he’s one of the greatest comedians of his generation. He thinks this 20 minute ‘special’ is up there with Killing them Softly, it’s bad for you, and insert another iconic comedy special.
Perhaps he takes the self-deprecating jokes one line too far. The audience starts out laughing at a joke and then he tries to keep it going but hammers it a bit too hard and then the audience is in silence.
Well kids aren't computers and don't come pre-programmed.....if kids don't know something blame the generation that raised them, and didn't bother teaching it

But within this last century....something changed and suddenly the following generations are being faulted for not doing/knowing something they were never shown/taught by the previous generations. Knowledge used to be more freely passed along.

@@chlorophyllheart I didn’t see a psychologist. My NP also gave me a 10 minute test that confirmed her diagnosis. It cost me $25 for the copay
