I lost my mom within 1 year of her diagnosis of Cancer. Time truly is precious. I am so glad I took the time to get on a plane and see my mom- she died 6 months after my visit. I will always treasure that time I got with her.

I've been experiencing this from my aunt and my mom and quite frankly it's demoralizing because it does.make you feel like your family is seeing you as lacking because you are not.booed up and you're okay with it. Why can't anyone not understand that I'm single and perfectly fine with it and not willing to settle for someone just to avoid being alone? It's such an annoying assumption and they only do it to women. No one would call my brother and ask why he isn't in a relationship.
If you’re happy and content being alone, embrace that because that emotion is a gift. I wish I could feel like that because I’m not finding the right person and I would like to just not care like I used to a few years ago. I didn’t care to find anyone, didn’t date until I was freaking 28 or later and just focused on my tons of hobbies. I heard someone talk about seeing his mom 1 maybe twice a year… he said she is 80. If she lives to be 90 that is a maximum of 20 times that he gets to see her. And he said he realized that is not enough.
