    Lyrics:
    Hit'em boys!
Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again
You get nothing for nothing: expect it when
You're backseat driving, and your hands ain't on the wheel
It's easy to go along with the crowd,
And find later on that your say ain't allowed
Oh that's the way to find what you've been missing
So I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
    A chance before I fall!
You can hang in a left or hang in a right
The choice it is yours to do as you might
The road is open wide to place your bidding
Now, wherever you turn, wherever you go
If you get it wrong, at least you can know
There's miles and miles to put it back together!
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
    A chance before I fall!
On the highway! On the highway!
Making a curve or taking the strain
On the decline, or ut on the wain
Oh everybody breaks down sooner or later
We'll put it to rights, we'll square up and mend.
Back on your feet to take the next bend!
You weather every storm that's coming atcha!
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothin' to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
Yes, I'm heading out to the highway,
I got nothing to lose at all.
I got nothing to lose at all!

I got to perform (guitar) the Hellion/Electric Eye with Halford once back the 80s. it was amazing! He was amazing! Absolutely album perfect. At one point I was in a squat shredding the solo when he hooked his arm around my neck, a pitcher of beer in one hand and a lit cigarette and the mic in the other, and did his trademark scream. Though I never had much success as a musician, I always remember that as my finest moment - being good enough to get that kind approval from a legend like Rob Halford.

First band I saw in concert (I think it was 1978. Then saw them at a small venue in Dallas a few years later. We sat at a table at the end of the stage. Rob walked over and was singing right at us. We could here his voice directly. Was friggin' amazing. That guy has some serious pipes. Saw many concerts since, but that was one of the best single moments.

@@lrn_news9171 Was thinking the same thing. Being a poor kid I never had MTV growing up in the 80s and never saw these videos, so when he came out in the 90s I was a bit shocked, but as I got older and now see these videos, I'm like yeah, it's pretty obvious he is gay. Oh well, who cares, he's still the best metal vocalist of all time IMO.

1982. Im a young Marine stationed way out in the middle of the Mojave desert, 29 Palms Marine base. I got a boom box with fresh batteries on the front seat of my 69 Dodge Charger blasting this song out. i got a beer between my legs and a 31/2 hour drive through the desert to get to my buddies house near LA. He's got a set of drums and i can play the sh3t out of them all weekend till I gotta go back to the base late Sunday night. Saturday night we would go out to the local hangout and shoot pool. Sometimes we would get lucky and meet some girls. They loved my Charger. The drive back at night was lonely but spectacular with the desert sunsets. Then I'd put Desert Plains on and head back to the base to be ready for a 0730 formation Monday morning. Did that for 2 years straight. Loved this album.

To this day I say this is the best JP album, it's my favorite anyway.
