Culinary Class Wars has quickly become one of Korea’s hottest shows, yet there are countless fascinating hidden details that most viewers have overlooked.
Knowing how the entertainment industry works, it's the producer plan to have a black spoon competitor win. At least this is something I thought from episode 1, the winner is going to be a black spoon chef. The purpose of this competition is to push some of the names for less known chefs out there.
@@seriousyrius7334 racism isn't the right word but I do think they had a problem with basically a foreigner winning the competition instead of an actual Korean. The dish mafia put up was so basic even if it was delicious. Edward out cooked him until the end with a dish that surprised everyone with how original it was. It was delicious too.
Edward Lee was amazing. The tofu infinite hell was more watchable than the finale that lacked clear rules and criteria. They should also have three judges instead of two to determine tiebreakers.
I feel like having only two judges actually added a lot to the show. With three judges it’d be much faster to come to a consensus on which dishes win, but the best parts of the show were when the two judges disagreed and had to argue for their decision.
I feel like the Tofu Hell was the real finale, and the actual finale "Make a dish you can stake your name on" was like an extra bonus round-- It wasn't half as intense as the Tofu Hell challenge. I think it was unfair for the winner of that challenge to go straight to the finals and make everyone else compete in another round that is 10x harder for a spot in the finals. It would've been more fair if the "Make the dish that shaped your life" challenge winner got an advantage in the Tofu Hell challenge (like more time than the others, or more ingredients/equipment), and the Tofu Hell challenge was the real finale.
the make a dish that you can stake your name on should have been the simple finale between the final two competitors bc that was what the finale was anyway. Having it before tofu hell was useless and unfair. Ideally, tofu hell should have determined the top 2 or even be the actual finally itself.
could be also a 3 or 4 round bye for the winner of that bye (or straight to the final four) I bet they see the sentiment of people about Edward Lee made it under more.
Almost no bad food at all, unlike on MasterChef, where dishes are thrown in the bin every two episodes 😂 but that's what makes MasterChef interesting too
Yeah it's because even the black spoons here are selected based on popularity of their restaurants. Masterchef chefs range from home cooks to semi popular chefs. So there are bound to be some bad dishes. If they took chefs that went on articles before, the range of food quality wouldn't be so wide
If youre a Japanese chef you should know that youre not going to win this series unless you do fusion. Japanese cuisine relies on the rarest and finest ingredients which certainly wont be available in the pantry
Why do they have to exclude matfia in the tofu challenge? For sure he will be eliminated in that challenge. Or it's really on the script before the whole show started.
So disappointed to the judges, we all know who really deserve to win its chef edward lee, when it comes to the taste, unique, creativity and he shows a lot of different kind of dishes especially in tofu, in that challenge he nailed it🙄
Edward lee should have won. The tofu hell was the real finale.

@@seriousyrius7334 exactly, Thats why they had that one basic challenge before the tofu hell to propel one black spoon into the finale no matter what.
I feel that rigged. Imagine to defeat a world class known chef. The judges I guess was racist knowing chef Lee is not really Korean in heart.
@@robbydelacruz3159 I wouldn’t think like that. If they were racist, he wouldn’t even make it into the finale

2 made it more intense and went along with the black and white theme. 3 is very predictable
@Astral-c6q Really? Perhaps that explains why the finale was so intense. 😁
@@Astral-c6qexcept they deferred to Ahn Sung Jae in every decision after round 1 😐

Edward lee can survived the hell stage that not everybody even the Winner of this game aint capable of .
The finale would be more fair if the judges do the blindfolded judgement.

Edward lee. The GOAT.
But its amaizing how talented chefs were there
I was expecting Edward Lee to win.
I would've given almost anything to be one of the customers during the restaurant mission.

Justice for chef Ahn Yu Seong!

More on the tourney format. Both judges did good.
Wow eunwoo’s english pronunciation and accent are impeccable🙌💎
Instead of blindfolded, they can make the competitors wait outside, so judges can see the food
My only complaint from the show is that restaurant challenge. Disgusting rules. Very, very unfair.
The pic u used is such a cheap trick to lie
Not gonna lie edward lee has the best ideas like the tofu round. He kinda threw at the last round he should have gone with somthing he was good at
Netflix confirmed a second season 🎉
