      Preciate it. I went the "cheap and easy" route to lift using the knuckles and spring lifters. Been using this method on every car I put rims on and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you have them spaced out and aligned the correct way in the springs like the instructions say so the springs are lifted even for a better ride.

    I got the same model crown Vic that you do 2004 except mine is black but I was wondering if you knew the exact number to the offset to make it fit flush inside cuz mine poke too?

    • @mr.hewitt1321
      @mr.hewitt1321  3 года назад +2

      03 and up crown vics need high offset rims. Factory rims offset is 45. My rims is 30 offset so it pokes. The best way to get rims that have the right offset for 2003 and up vics is to buy them out the store. Most rims off the street and universal rims have low offset because most cars have low offset. That's why a lot of people try to find a 02 vic or down to bolt up because those models have a different front end with low offset and the rims sit inside the fender. Its up to you tho. I tried to really find some high offset rims but it ain't many out there. Once they go on they don't look that bad honestly unless you get the wrong bolt pattern and need adapters that push the rims out farther or get some cheap very low offset rims that poke out further too. Just make sure to get a good alignment when you bolt up since the rims are bigger, wider, and poke outside the fender so it ride in a straight line. Good Luck

    • @mr.hewitt1321
      @mr.hewitt1321  3 года назад +1

      Hard to find them off the street. Most sets of rims are universal. I was lucky to find some that was my exact bolt pattern non universal and the offset wasn't as far off so they don't poke out as far. Most universal rims poke out further than mine and even worse with adapters. Only way you can be sure you get the correct offset for 03+ Crown Vics is to buy rims out the store and that cost too much money for me.

    • @mr.hewitt1321
      @mr.hewitt1321  3 года назад +1

      For the front, I used AutoCraft Rear Twist In Spring Boosters...Google it and you will see and then look or ask for them at your part store. I think i got mine from O'Reilly..or Advance..maybe AutoZone lol. You probably better off just ordering them. Don't get the front twist in boosters because they are smaller. If you got a crown vic and want to use them, get the REAR twist in since our springs are big in the front. For the rear springs, I used the Autocraft 2 way Adjustable Spring Stabilizers. They can be used to lower or raise a car. Of course i used them to lift.

    Can I do the same thing for a Chevy I have a 2011 Malibu and I have 22inch wheels but it won’t fit bc the strut Disc is in the way

    • @mr.hewitt1321
      @mr.hewitt1321  3 года назад

      I had an 05 Grand Prix I bolted up in 2013. What I did for 22s was to to knock up/bend the strut plate at the bottom with a big hammer above where they will touch the wheels and put the spring lifters (not the twist in) all around. You can run 30 series tires and still have clearance. Once I tried to go up to 24's, I had to take it to a shop so they can do a strut lift. That's when they take out the struts, cut, lift, and weld them back and put them back on the car. Back then people was charging 5-600 for it. It may not be as much now but that's 2 ways to go about it. They may have struts you can buy that's already lifted. I haven't had a front wheel drive car since then. If knocking up the strut plate don't work, you might have to invest in the strut lift and in that case just get it lifted for 4s or 6s because once you get the 22s on they will look small after while and I guarantee you will want to upgrade to 4s. You can research how others put 22s on front wheel drive cars with struts but that's my advice. Good luck
