    I like that Aquaracer. A Tag Heuer Aquaracer quartz was my first Swiss watch and sort of got me into serious collecting. 😊

      Same. I honestly thought it'd be very close to the BEST choice under 5k. I chose it over quite a few on this list. Just got it a few weeks ago after wanting it for 18 months.

      @@chriscon8463I like the look of the fine link bracelet too, but wanted the tool look vs something dressy. The H link clasp is a bit below my expectations but it does have the micro adjustments to get a better fit.

    All great choices Harrison (as always). The Raymond Weil is a great looking watch but It's unlikely to make it onto my wrist as I have the Longines Sector Dial (the silver/cream version) and they are a tad too similar, I also prefer the Longines blued hands and the Arabic numerals at the quarters (although the 6 has been sliced). It's great to see the Aquaracer on the list as well, that dodecagon bezel is beautifully executed and as you mention may bring younger people into watches. The BB58 is a no brainer for the classic styled diver, I love mine. The SMP300M is no surprise either, the Great White version is one of the very best dive watches that you can get for the price. The finish, the movement and dial are not done justice in photos or video, you really do have to see one in the flesh to appreciate it. Any Pelagos is worth wrist time in my book with my personal preference being the LHD then the 39. Twice again Tudor hit the spot with the panda chrono and GMT, both of which I would get wrist time.

  • @militaryminedid2011
    @militaryminedid2011 3 месяца назад

    The Pelagos model I'd choose, and I did ($4,400 at Jomashop), would be the LHD titanium model. I also considered the Sinn U50/U1 but went with the Sinn 836 on H-Link bracelet (also tegimented) since I already have a diver (the Tudor). Also went with the Tudor Black Bay 41 S&G for my dress watch.

  • @C.frmMia

    The SMP 300 pvd chrome dial is beautiful and imo looks nicer than the blue and black dial. "Seaweed" and "great white" dials are🔥🔥

    Waaaayyy under £5000, but I just bought a Raymond Weil Toccata 5488 from Chisholm Hunter reduced from £695 to £420.
    It. Is. Beautiful.
    I’ve never thought to buy a dress watch, but this will be such a good watch to wear on special occasions where my chunkier Breitling and Seiko GMT don’t really sit well under a cuff.
    So pleased with it - feels like a real bargain!

  • @tschoy9388
    @tschoy9388 3 месяца назад +2

    90% of your choices are accepted. Except the Raymond Weil and Cartier because they are too dressy.

    Your introduction to Omega and Tudor models are all my dream watches.
    Thank you.

    4 Tudors on the list - you're turning out to be a bigger Tudor fanboy rather than an Omega fanboy 😁

    i absolutely love my Tank Must Large. and the quartz is totally fine because there isn't a ticking seconds hand. 6-8 years of high autonomy quartz is much better than the standard quartz in the watch market. And the The Tank Must XL is automatic but way too big and well beyond the classic proportions.

    My picks are the Tudor BB 58 39 mm on a bracelet as the regular 41 mm BB is too thick and too heavy on a bracelet ; and the Omega Seamaster 300 M on a rubber strap as on a bracelet once again it’s too heavy . Shame the BB 58 is a tad small for me at 39 mm , 40 mm would have been better but maybe I’ll get over that one day and buy one …..

    9:50 Word of warning to potential Pelagos (paragraph) buyers, the titanium is a love it or hate it thing. I tried to love it, on my blue 42mm pelly, but we sadly parted ways after 6 months.
    It looks dull / darker / muted when compared to a similar ss equivalent, such as a sub / smp. If they made the pelly in steel that would be my one and done watch.

    No Grand Seiko SBGN221, Kira Zuri or SBGA375 a sub 5K Spring drive? No Bremonts at all? No Bvlgari aluminium and not even a mention for the Omega Speedmaster reduced or Railmasters? And you would pick the least popular Panerai a Radiomir over a Base with the classic Panerai crown guard which is 90% of the reason the brand is loved?
    I love this channel but come on.
